It wasn't often Gabriel got alone time with Ryan , so on a hot summer day when the two where sitting around Gabriel asked " Hey buddy want to go on a ride" he said with a fatherly voice. Ryan perked up "SURE DAD" he said all happy.
Gabriel looked at the list of things he needed to do , he saw some items on a shopping list he need to get. He turned " Lets go to a park but after lets go shopping ok?" he said with a question.
" WHAT ABOUT THE WATER PARK DAD, LIKE THE ONE ON TV" Ryan shouted with a bit to much pep.
Gabriel shied away from that question "Well when we get into main Aekea we can find a park , Ok buddy". Ryan got his favorite 'Aekea Zebra' football shirt on and was ready to go. Twenty minutes later so was Gabriel.
The car ride took about an hour and half and Ryan had gone through a list of things he did the day before about twenty times. Gabriel almost felt like turning the car around and acting like most parents but insted he listened to him and kept driving. Gabriel found a park with a mega play gym and let Ryan use up 30% of his energy.
Once he felt like Ryan was ready to leave they headed over to "Organic Land" it was a huge shop around the size of Wal-Mart with all organic clothing , toys and most of all foods.
Ryan hated this place vary much and knew eating overly green foods was going to come up later tonight. " Dad one time , I was playing with girls and I was going to show them the spot under a slide that you can go under and climb up wooden thingies , but you made me go home , you remember dad , do you , do you" he asked holding on to side of a shopping cart Gabriel was pushing.
"Yes Ryan I do" he said looking around to see what aisle he would start at.

Luna had been rummaging through the refrigerator when she realised that she didnt have a vegtable for dinner tonight! OH NO!!! She knew that Mariel had no particular fondness for any of the green stuff but Luna ALWAYS had a vegetable with every meal and everyone was required to finish it first! She closed the refrigerator door and walked to the door of the backyard and yelled outside for mariel.
"MARIEL, WE'RE GOING TO THE STORE!!" Luna called before going back into the kitchen to get the keys and heading to the car. By the time Luna got to the car Mariel was bouncing around it in her usual blue bikini top and jean shorts. Luna smiled of course Mariel was excited she loved to go exploring new places, and well the particular store she had inmind did have an organic fish section...maybe she would get something nice for her. The drive wasn't that bad, the radio entertained both girls who sang and commented on the passing landscape untill the reached their destination ORGANIC LAND!! Luna got out of the car and Mariel plastered herself to her mothers side, as curious as she was, large crowds still made her nervous and so for the moment she was content with looking at everything instead of exploring.
"Oh dont worry chikita, no one is gonna hurt ju" Luna began to push the cart into the store towards the fresh produce section.
Mariel kept close to her mother, everything was so new and exciting to her, after all this store was always filled with fun smells and colors and it wasnt that crowded today so she could relax a little bit. As Luna began to move towards all the green stuff mariel took a good look around and she noticed another kid with a tail, no wait not just a tail with a face that she knew! It was the boy that owed her a secret! What was his name......something with an R....mariel was trying to remember but she thought it would be polite to tell her mother that friends were here in the store so she tugged on Lunas pants and pointed.
"Momma look whose here"
Luna looked to where Mariel was pointing and did see someone she vaugly recognized, he had been at a park once, but wasnt he with a little girl in a sand box? well the little girl looked alot like the little boy so maybe they were siblings. Luna was never very shy so she stopped her cart and waved to try and get the mans attention to say hi.

Ryan was talking about working on farm again and Gabriel was trying to listen to him and think about how he was going to shop. It was really hard " Ryan , buddster I need you to be quit for just a few , daddy needs to think" Gabriel said in a low but calm voice.
Ryan looked up with big eyes and stopped talking , he saw some toys and really wanted to check them out , when he saw hands moving in the corner of his eyes.
Ryan gave Gabriel enough time to map out his shopping order and was taking off when Ryan stopped him. " Daddy Looks at" he pointed. Gabriel had no idea who the people where.
“Remember the time, when I was playing with two girls, and you stopped me Daddy" Ryan said.
" Ohhhh yea" he stated. Ryan was really good at repeating himself; in this case it came in handy. Gabriel could see the isle he wanted to go down , but he should be nice and wave back. So that is what Gabriel did.
Ryan jumped off the side of the cart and ran over to them. Gabriel followed. Ryan looked at the gray girl “ It’s me Ryan” he stated to her. He pointed his finger at himself. Gabriel introduced himself to the adult “ Hey I’m Gabriel , I believe our kids hung out at a park one day". Gabriel couldn’t even remember the parks name.

Luna smiled at the man, Gabriel was his name and nodded,
"Jes I remember jur little boy, but didnt ju have a little girl too?" Luna smiled and asked in her spanish accent, she did mostly remember the man with the girl and he just seemed odd to her without the other child haha prabably because thats how she pictured him, with that girl.
"Come we talk while we shop." Luna hoped she wasnt being rude but they were right next to where the display had the spinach she was eyeing and she really didnt have to buy much so she could follow him and let the kids run around.
RYAN that was his name, Mariel knew it was with an R, she was a little impressed with herself and her momory. She gave him a smile and a happy wave to make sure that he knew she remembered who he was.
"You member me? I'm Mariel and you owe me a secret!" Mariel gave Ryan the "you owe me" look. She was always a curious child and she had wanted to learn what that secret was, maybe he had another one in the store that she could get out of him or something. She was a little happy that she was meeting someone she kind of knew, afterall she had only been meeting new people and that usually involved a stressful first few shy moments before she realised how curious they were. But this Ryan guy she knew and so with him she could be straight forward.

He could see his isle in lane twenty-two get further and further as they walked to the fresh produce area. Gabriel looked at the women "I have Twins , the other twin is at home" he smiled at her. He saw a few heads of cabbege and bagged them up.
Ryan looked at the girl in shock , then he remembered " Oohh under the slides , we would have to go back for me to show you that" he said kind of sad. " I know were the original Aekea Zebra plushie is though" he looked at her with big eyes. " You want to see?" he asked. Then hoped on his dads cart as they went off.
Ryan looked at the women " Yea , my sisters name is Ro-Honda" he said said with a huge smile.

Luna smiled at the little boy as he told her his sisters name, ahhh so Gabriel had twins then. "Ah what a blessing to have 2 children, ju are berry lucky." she told the man as she bagged up the spinach she wanted and started to head towards the carrots and then the isles.
"I ave just Mariel, and I feel bad dat she is by herself at home with ze dogs only." Luna told Gabriel as she bagged the carrots in one well practiced motion and added "I always tink is makes her more shy to not have oder kids around"
She began to head towards the isles, that was pretty much all the veggies she was going to get since she didnt like to shop for more than three days ahead, she liked food to be as fresh as possible and she had noticed that the man was heading towards one of the isles though which one she had no idea so she hoped he would get the hint and start to take the lead.
Mariel noticed that Ryan seemed at least a little sad about robbing her of a secret so she resolved to forgive him, she walked alongside the cart that the boy was hanging on to.
"Ok I forgive you but you have to take me one day." She told him with the utmost confidence, then he mentioned something about a plushie, she hadnt heard that word before and so her curiosity was aroused. What was a plushie, was it an animal, a new toy, maybe it was another secret that he was going to show her.
"Plushie? Whats a Plushie and why is it original?" She asked curiously, her eary now pointed towards Ryan instead of swiveling around to catch all the noises. She watched him with wide and interested eyes waiting for him to lead her to whatever this new thing was.

Ryan looked at her funny " Well ummmmmm , its like ahhhhhhh... toy" he paused "LIKE A STUFF ANIMAL" he said all happy. Ryan hung onto the cart as his dad made his last stop in the produce area.
Gabriel didn't need anything but he saw some coconuts with pineapple juice soaked inside. It was a treat his kids loved soo he walked over and picked out seven of them.
He peeked at Luna " I got seven little coconuts , six of them are home ... or well will be home, you know those coconuts have activities ....." he chuckled then realized she might not know what he ment. " Kids you got to love them" he said to cover himself.
As the cart made a stop Ryan walked over to Mariel " You wannna know where the toy zebra is" he said with a grin. He didn't even notice his dad getting him the coconut.

Mariel watched Ryans face change and contort as he tried to think of a way to explain what a plushie was to her. She had to bit back a laugh because it was just funny to see him this way. She decided then that he wasnt so scary anymore so she didnt have to keep an eye on him all the time. So then a plushie was like a stuffed animal, she knew what that was.
"OOOOO you mean like a Mono?" Mariel was so used to Luna always speaking spanish that she had forgoten to try and translate the words. Of course! "oh yes I want to see it! I like soft things, like my tail!" Mariel held out her tail to Ryan to pet and it absentmindedly moved in her hand like a lazy snake. Mariel didnt know she was a mink, she was still under the impression that she was a water cat like Brianna had told her but she did know that she had extremely soft and almost silk-like fur and she did enjoy petting her tail once in a while.
Luna was a bit confused by the coconut comment that Gabriel made but he cleared it up before she could ask any questions. "Ju have Seven kids?!" Luna blurted out before she could stop herself. She couldnt imagine having seven kids, although inwardly she was a little jealous that this man had the time and money to be able to care for so many. As it was she was having trouble making sure she pent enough time with Mariel and her job was what payed the bills so she couldnt afford to stop. But a sudden thought occured to her.
"Oh but ju must have an esposa, or at least a nanny to take care of dem all right?" She knew it would be way to burdensome on one person to take care of so many children. But she had no dbouts that he was a good father after all he seemed really nice with the little boy ryan so she was sure that he made sure all of his kids were watched and loved.

Ryan been eyeing her tail and couldn't pass up an opportunity like this one. He took a hold of her tail and petted it softly not letting his thick hide hurt her. His tail kept moving back and forth. " We need away to get close the bathroom if we are going to see the one of a kind plushie" he said. They where about 14 isles away from the restrooms.
Gabriel smiled "Yes , they are all adopted and I do have a nanny" he said as he turned out of the produce isle. As they walked down a lane " I have a good core of people who help me" he said. He looked at her " It takes a villedge to raise a child , and I have a whole villedge raising my children on one farm" he said with a chuckle. " Though I do most of the hard work" he stated.
Ryan was now back on the cart " I need to use the bathroom" he whined. Then turned to Mariel with a big wink.

Mariel giggled when Ryan petted her tail, it was usually pretty rare for others to touch her tail mostly because the oppertunity never really came up and it was always a little weird to feel her tail being touched and to know she wasnt touching it. Then Ryan mentioned the bathroom...hmn how to get to the bathroom... mariel turned her head to think as they continued to walk. She could always ask but sometimes Luna didnt let her go off on her own.....hmn... Then she heard Ryan asking to go to the bathroom and caught the wink. She sent him a smile back and jumped into the game.
"I have to go to the bathroom too" Mariel whined and tugged gently on Lunas shirt.
Luna nodded and smiled as Gabe talked about it taking a village to raise a child. "Yes ju are lucky to have so many oders elping ju." Luna felt Mariel tugging at her shirt and ruffled her hair as she finished her thought "In our ome eets just me, mariel and da dogs on cinco-er...five acres. haha but mariel met an older keed a few months ago and he said they gonna geet a dragon! So maybe we both will need more space."
Luna then picked Mariel up and sat her in the cart, "Nesesitas usar el baño chiquita?" at Mariels nod Luna turned to Gabe, "It seems our booquis need the batroom but I dont know where it is! do you?"

Gabriel looked down at Ryan then turned to Luna " Nope I don't need to go" he looked at Ryan with a ' what are you doing' face. Then he smiled to shake off any worries Luna might get from his look.
Ryan moved tords Gabriel and held his pants like little boys often do.
Gabriel started to move his cart " I will lead us to the bathrooms " he'd been around the store alot , plus even if he hadn't known where the bathrooms were , he could see the huge red letters 'Bathroom' from where he was.
Ryan was feeling overly happy , his plan was working!

Mariel caught Ryans smile and returned one when she thought no one else was looking and then made sure to pucker her face up into the "i have to go" kind of look. She held tightly to Lunas shirt and shuffled along. She wasnt the best actress but she was sure that she was at least doing ok at pretending to have to go to the bathroom. She also made sure to keep an eye on Ryan to watch for any signals or instructions of what to do next. She really did not have any idea where they were going in the store but she was excited that they were planning on an adventure!
Luna followed Gabe without Question, she really was not familiar with the store since she usually only made in and out trips to get a specific item and she was kind of enjoying looking around and finding out where everything was.

Ryan jumped back on Gabriel's moving cart and they headed to bathrooms. As the four moved along Ryan kept an eye out for trophy case with the plushie in it. As they got close to it Ryan's eyes became big and the plushie might as well been glowing with a bright lights.
As they passed it Ryan tried to make signal like thats where the Zebra is. Gabriel by now knew what was going on , but was playing along with it since he didn't want to look like fool in front of the adult.
So Gabriel went inside the bathroom with Ryan " You don't have to go do you , you want to show her the Plushie" he said kind of mad but kind of chuckling. Ryan nodded his head " But Dad let me show her ok" Gabriel rolled his eyes and walked outside, Ryan ran his hand through all the automatic hand washers to set them off and then walked outside.
Everytime they came to the strore Ryan would look at the Plushie and dream one day he could be on the Aekea Zerbras. They would spend a good five ments standing looking at the plushie , well Ryan did. Gabriel would normaly listen to music on his I-pod till Ryan was done.

Mariel walked into the bathroom with Luna but before Luna could go into the stall Mariel stopped. "No mama, I wanna go by myself" Mariel stood up proudly and walked into the stall on her own. She waited a little bit and then rolled up some paper and dumped it in before flushing and coming out to wash her hands. She hoped that Luna had not been paying attention and sure enough Luna had used the opportunity to go to the bathroom herself and was happily oblivious. Mariel washed her hands and waited patiently for Luna at the door and when she was sure that Luna was paying attention she said.
"Mama Ryan gonna show me something I be back ok." then she made her way out of the bathroom to find Ryan who also seemed to have just began to come out of the bathroom, she walked over to him and smiled "ok we are here! now what?" Her eyes darted around for a view of this zebra he always talked about and she wondered what made it so special.
Luna mumbled a reply to Mariel as she darted out of the bathroom. Luna had the sneaking suspicion that Mariel really hadnt needed to use the bathroom but she kept her mouth shut, if Mariel was making friends and going on little adventures she was ok with it for the moment. Plus she knew it kept the little ones occupied and adventures build character right?!
Luna walked out of the bathroom and saw Mariel and Ryan skitter off somewhere, she half wondered where they were going but knew that she couldnt ask them now, maybe she would get the story out of Mariel later....or Gabe. She looked over at him and by the way he was looking at the kids he seemed to know what they were up to.
"What do chu tink de leetle ones are up to?" she asked wondering if her suspicions were correct.
