Gaewrn stretched, pulling the muscles taunt before relaxing them, nose lifting in search. Banafrit didn't hunt herself, she would eat meat of course, but the whole process was something she couldn't bear. It was perhaps the easiest task necessary of him and he didn't mind. Catching the scent of hare he pivoted, eyes searching for a hole or tracks.

He'd been watching them off and on for the past few days, both out of curiosity and some strange sense of protectiveness. Somehow this pup felt almost like a child to him, perhaps it was her spirit and naivety. Now as he followed the male one, he let his colors shift from sky blue to their natural hues, and slowly he descended. So far the male had seemed harmless, but he had to make certain.

He'd spotted some, faint tracks in the dirt, partly obscured by the grass, his senses went into overdrive, which is why his ears pivoted as the faint rustle of feathers sounded. His eyes widened in surprise, usually courageous body quivering in fear.

Well THAT was different. Lim certainly wasn't an intimidating god, his colors and flamboyant air more likely to induce smiles and giggles than fear. And yet here this dog cowered. Strange. Maybe fear would be good though, for what he wanted, trying hard to stand tall and proud. "I've been watching you."

Cryptic words drew Gaerwn's ears back, his body trying to recover it's stability. It was the first time he had ever met a god, and despite years of prayers to them, he had never imagined it would happen. Had he done something wrong? Or had he done something right? Silent, his eyes begged the lilac god to go on.

Lim knew little of the wild dog, unaware of his views or devotion, if he had perhaps he wouldn't have worried so... "You're traveling with a friend of mine" - His tail twitched imitating irritation- "I'm here to assure that nothing bad happens to her, or else."

B... Bana? His friend? Snippits of conversation popped to the back of his mind. This god.. feathers, purple... was this the faerie banafrit chattered about from time to time? He'd not believed her before, figuring it nothing but her whimsical imagination, but apparently he'd been wrong. Too bad the god didn't seem nearly as jovial or kind as he had been to her. "I...! That's what I'm doing!" -His voice rose as boldy as he could manage- "I'm protecting her..."

"Why?" He was actually heaving now, feigning this snooty aggression, it was like a play. He drew a paw forward.- "What selfish reason is causing such a selfless action?"

Why...? Again his ears dipped, tail falling between his legs.- "I'm not being selfish!" -He barked. What as he getting at? Nothing, he didn't want anything anytime he helped someone- "I just... like to help people." -It was true, it made him happy... It made him feel like he was doing something worthwhile and good, like an offering to the gods.

Though unable to read the thoughts of the canine, his emotions easily spilled over Lim. As Gaewrn realized how happy it made him that some pleasure radiated, and Lim's stance softened greatly. Sheba would like him, he found himself thinking, trying hard to keep his smile hidden. Ruffling his feathers, he turned, silver eyes watching him.- "Very well then... Certain I, God of Pleasure, couldn't argue against that." "You'd just better take care of her" he insisted matter of factly as he took to the air.

Gaerwn's eyes and body remained locked, mind trying to catch up with what had just occurred. It'd happened so fast, was it even real? The rapid patter of his heart must prove that it did.. Shaking himself briefly, he continued on his hunt silently. To tell Bana or not?
