It was odd for him to not be pacing around somewhere looking for a fight to pick but for once he wasn't. He had found a nice spot to sit while he wasn't on guard duty and decided to try something he'd heard about.
Meditation.
Somehow he didn't think that any amount of sitting still and breathing slowly would do anything to extend the length of his fuse but it wasn't as if he had anything else to do. He didn't get why this was suppose to be so fulfilling. It was just sitting still counting while you breathed. He was pretty sure he felt more relaxed when he was throwing his weight around

Meditation wasn't something that she thought often of, preferring to wander in her solitude as opposed to sitting still during it. As things were, it was past the time when she should have been resting, up all night for one reason or another and now tired... But not tired enough to settle just yet. She wanted to find the perfect place soon and when she got there...
Her nose wrinkled at finding it occupied.

He heard footsteps coming toward him through the snow but at first thought nothing of them. He expected that whoever it was would recognize him and continue on about where ever they were going. No one bothered him generally anyway.
When the footsteps didn't continue on immediately he opened one eye. "....oh. Let me guess. I'm in your way again?"

She sighed heavily, chest falling as she shook her head. "No, not this time... This time you're just in a spot that I was hoping to find unoccupied. That's alright, though... I can move on." She nodded, following the trail towards him so that she could slink around him and past.

"If you want it i can move. It's not like i'm actually doing anything." The mediation had proved to crap just like he thought it was. It hadn't made him feel any different unless he was going to count colder from all the cold air he was taking in.

"Not doing anything other than practice how to sleep sitting up?" Her brow lofted a bit, the slightest of smiles curving the corners of her muzzle. "You looked comfortable, at the very least... I'm certain that I can find somewhere else to sleep. I've been awake long enough as is."

"Meditating...." Which he still thought was a crock. "Not that it works a damn bit but i though while i had nothing to do i could try doing something."
It had been a gigantic waste of time. And somehow he doubted she cared he had been trying it either. Or she would just laugh at him

"You never struck me much as one who would find peace through meditation." Her eyes gleamed with a trace of mischief. "Then again, I'm not all that certain you've ever struck me as one who would welcome complete peace at all... Unless you were thoroughly exhausted beforehand and, even then, it's not really peace as much as it is worn out."

"It's a crock anyway so i doubt it would do any good to anyone." He shrugged before shifting to shake a bit of snow off him. "It's just an excuse to sit still and pretty ******** boring."
He wasn't going to bother with it again after this.

"What works for some doesn't always work for others." She shrugged her own shoulders in return, shaking her head slowly. "If you're that bored why don't you go find something else to do beyond sitting in one place? Or were you on your way to doing that?"

"I hadn't really thought about what else i was going to do." He shrugged slightly. "Just ... restless." There wasn't enough to do and he didn't like all the sitting around. No one really got into fights with him anymore since he was harder to budge than the mountains themselves. Something about being a 'block head' always came up too.

"Well I'm not... I'm tired. It's been a long night." She huffed softly as she moved past him, taking a few steps away before shifting to flop down in a spot that seemed dry enough. She let her head fall to rest on her paws, tail still twitching back and forth as she closed her eyes.

He raised a brow as he watched her before shaking his head. He still didn't get how some of the others could just ... do that. It always took him forever to get to sleep and then took an effort to stay asleep. He just hated sitting still that long.

One eye opened after a moment and she stared across at him. "Are you just going to stand there and watch me sleep? I'm certain it's not all that much different from your meditation, save for your eyes being open and focused on something instead of closed." She tried to keep back a snort, eye closing.

He shook his head. "I just don't understand how you can just ... do that." He would probably end up having to run until he wore himself out to be able to get to sleep
