Marinus sat just on the edge of his territory, where the trees started to thin out and he could climb up into the trees and look out onto yellowy grasses and open plains. He remembered getting to travel all over lands like that, open fields, sandy beaches. He had liked those the best. He felt closer to his saviors when he was walking on the beach, which was probably why he had picked his territory in the cool jungle so carefully. He had specifically found a place that had a nice, clear lake with a lovely stretch of sandy dirt between the grass and the water.
So there the purple and orange leopard sat, in the shade of the trees... making chains of flowers.
Mar was a weird male sometimes. He liked cubs and pretty things, was a terrible fighter, totally awkward in romantic situations with adult females, and rather naive at times.
"Such a lovely day," he chuckled to himself as he continued weaving the blue and white flowers together.

Miw giggled as she bounded away from her brother once more. Her brother and herself 'were playing hide-and-go-seek.' But Miw wasn't exactly in the mood to do that. She was more in the mood for putting her brother through hell once more. She really enjoyed messing with her brother some times... Alright well that was a bit of a lie. All the time she really enjoyed messing with her brother... She also enjoyed playing with her other brothers, not to mention dragging her sisters around doing things that she liked to do... Mostly getting in trouble that is.
She giggled again as she pushed her way through a few bushes. She had no clue where she was going but she was trying to keep track of the way that she came from so she could wander back to where she came from. Then there was something that caught her attention. A sound of a voice and also the sight of another. She trotted over to who ever it was and grinned widely. "Hi there!" She looked at him then paused arching a small brow.
"Are you making flower chains?"

Marinus looked up at the sound of another creature's voice and smiled cheerfully when he saw it was a little cub.
"Why, yes I am. Would you like one? I think you'd look absolutely adorable in one," he replied with a nod. He had a lighter voice than most males, a little bit higher, and yet no where near the pitch of a female's. He was also rather large for a leopard. He was about the size of a small lion, almost a foot taller than a normal leopard.
He tilted his head slightly to one side, the tuft of fur on his head flicked neatly to the side of his face so that his vision wasn't impaired in the least.
"You're not lost, are you?" he asked suddenly, concern slipping into his voice. He hadn't considered that at first, but after that moment of thought between his first bit of babble and the question, it had popped into his mind. That would be absolutely terrible if she was lost! Her parents would probably be worried sick.

Miw licked her lips then grinned widely at the male, she was a little surprised at his voice. "Sure I'd like one!" She giggled a little more before sitting down on her haunches with a smile that stretched from ear to ear. "They are really pretty... But why are you making them? I thought males don't make them..." Her voice trailed for a moment. She was pretty sure of that, she had never seen her father make one. Well he did once but it was for his mother.
She licked her chin before pawing at him. "No I'm not lost. Me and my brother were playing hide-and-go-seek. But he was a little mean so he can wait for me to finish." She giggled again before looking at him. "Are you a le-po-ard?" She asked trying to sound out the word the best she could. She remember her father talking about one before but she had never seen one herself.

Marinus chuckled as he wrapped the chain he had done so far around her head. It was too short, so he pulled back and started working another flower into it.
"I don't know why we wouldn't. I suppose it's not a tough thing to do, but I'm not really a tough-guy to be honest," he explained, giving her a little wink. "I'd much rather be fun and playful and make pretty things."
He smiled as she tried to say "leopard", amused so much over cubs as he was. They were such adorable little things. The oldest of his little sisters had always called him immature and girly, but he didn't mind in the least. If being happy and making pretty things was girly, then he was happy to be so.
"Yup, I'm a leopard. You can tell 'cause I'm kinda muscly like a lion, but I don't have a mane or a tail-tuft. And you can tell a cheetah because they're really thin and fast with a tail kinda like mine," he explained, flicking his tail out to tap her on the nose with the fluffy tip.

She looked at him before blinking a bit. "I've never heard of that... Its odd, but alright if that goes for you." She giggled a bit as he tried to fit the chain around her neck. She was a little sad that it didn't fit but she quickly got over it before she started to watch him again, to a point she was watching to see how he made it so she might be able to make one herself. "Pretty things are really cool though..." Her voice trailed before she listened to what he said next.
"I've never seen a cheetah either." She shrugged then nipped at his tail springing forward off of her haunching and pouncing on it, chewing on it a bit as she did. "I wish I had a tail like this." She giggled even more as she looked up at him.

The large leopard laughed when the little cub pounced his tail. He wiggled it under her paws, continuing to carefully weave the stems together.
"Aw, now that's not nice to call me odd. Why not just different?" he asked, an amused smile on his face and his laughter in his tone. He tilted his head and looked back down at the flowers, picking up another one between his toes and weaving it slowly into the chain.
"But you have a cute little tail. I always wished when I was a cub that I had a tail tuft like you lions." He grinned at her at that point, tilting his head a bit.
"Would you believe me if I told you my family are all lions?"

Miw giggled more as she nipped at his tail very amused by the tail, she was such a cub some times. "I'm sorry." Her ears lowered for a moment before she went back to chewing on his tail. "I didn't think of using the different..." She shrugged then looked at the chain he was making the started to n** again. She really looked forward to seeing what it looked like.
"Aww, but if I had that tail I'd be different from my siblings." She puffed out her chest. "I have 8 of them, so being different is nice." she nodded at the idea before looking athim with a bit of a surprised look. "Really? How does that work?" She asked arching a brow. "My name is Miw-sher, by the way, almost everyone calls me Kitten though." She wiggled around a bit before she let go of his tail for a moment. "Whats you're name?" she asked curiously.

"Heh, not too hard, Little Kitten. You bite too hard and it hurts..." The leopard chuckled a bit over her chewing on his tail. She really didn't have the teeth to hurt him, but it was a little uncomfortable to be chewed on.
"Ah, well, do any of your siblings have pretty flower necklaces?" Marinus asked with a tilt of his head as he tested the length again. One more should do it.
"My name's Marinus. When I was little, a pair of lions found me on the beach and took me in. When I was little, they had three little girls, three little sisters for me. They always made sure I knew I was a leopard and not a lion, but I was still their son," he explained as he weaved the last flower into the chain, fixing the ends so that it made a necklace instead of just a chain.
"You kind of remind me of my sister Sisie." He slipped the ring around her head and patted her a bit. "Do you get into lots of mischief, too?"

"Oh..." She said as she let go a bit and watched him, leaving herself to bat his tail in between her paws she was taking in how to make it, she might make her mom one when she got home, that would be really cool if she did. She was sure that she could find some flowers to match her mother's colors... Then she was pulled from her thoughts as she looked up at the leopard. "Wow... they don't. I'll be different now!" She giggled once more as she looked at him.
She wiggled around as she tired it on again. She was excited to get to wear it around and she would wear it around proudly on top of that! "Really? Wow thats really cool." She giggled as she wormed around. "I live with my daddy and his mate, she's like my mommy too, then all of my siblings. that was really nice of them though." She nodded to the male proudly.
"I do?" She asked before grinning widely as she looked down at her flower necklace. "Its do pretty!" She squealed before she looked at him. "Thank you." Her voice trailed at his next question. "Well... I do. But don't let my daddy know!"

Yup, this little lioness was just like his youngest sister, Lachesis. Atty had been the really mature and outspoken one, Cloie had been sweet and timid, and Sisie had been a nice mixture of the two. Sweet and rambunctious. He chuckled with a nod and ruffled the tuft of fur on top of her head.
"Mmhmm, just like my littlest sister. And don't worry, I won't tell," the laughter still in his voice as he made his promise.
"You have quite an impressive family. Do you like having a big family?"

Miw giggled slightly as her fur was ruffled, she hal looked at her neck admiring the necklace she was going to have to show it off a lot when she got back to her den! She was going to tell about her new friend that she made who made really awesome flower chains! She wormed arounda t the idea of showing it off. "Thank you!"
She then shrugged slightly. "I like it. Four of them are my actual brothes and sisters the other four are my moms children. ITs a little odd and big, some times awkward to sleep its its really fun. I like it." She giggled slightly again before looking around. "I really should go home though... My brother might be heading back home to tell on me." She looked down at her paws before flicking her hair out of her eyes.

Marinus tried to imagine a big family like that. It'd be like having his regular family, only adding on a few more cubs that were his actual brothers and sisters. It was an interesting idea, but he didn't envy her mother and father. Aelia and Valerius had enough trouble dealing with him and his sisters. He couldn't imagine having to raise eight cubs, himself, even with a mate.
Oh, goodness a mate. He got flustered at the mere thought of having a romantic relationship. He definitely wasn't prepared for that. Sure, Aelia and Valerius had been deeply in love and great parents, but in all honesty he had no idea whatsoever how to deal with females his age. Maybe that's why he liked spending time with cubs so much. He could just play with them or make them toys. No need to try and charm them or try and keep them from leaving him or anything like that.
"I'm glad you like it. Yeah, you probably should be getting back. Wouldn't want your parents to worry about you. Just be careful, okay?" he replied, tilting his head again, hoping that she would get home alright.

Miw was compeltly distracted as she tried to stare down at her flower chain. It was a little hard when it was around her own neck but she was trying anyway, it was amusing to her. But she was soon distracted by him talking once more. Oh! Yeah thats right she just said she should get going.
She giggled slightly before she bumped her head against his. Before nodding. "I will." She giggled slightly before turning around and started to trot hom.e. She really couldn't wait to show off her pretty new necklace.
