Bathory enters the VooDoo family home with a purpose, her singularly odd blue eyes seeking out her uncle as she swims. She keeps her form straight and tensed, ready for whatever she might encounter, not the least of which would be her uncle's displeasure at her presence.

She didn't have to journey to far before she happened on her Uncle. He was bent over a large flat boulder, from the elbow down his arms rested against the rock and his long hair cascaded down like a curtain around his head covering whatever it was he was so intently looking at. There were scratch marks and cracks as if the male and literally raked his nails over the stone or slammed his fist down into it ... and knowing VooDoo he probably had.
The large half demon usually just oozed power and poise but today that seemed to have diminished. Every muscle in his body was tensed, bulging out from beneath his skin. They made him look tense, so much so in fact he appeared to be ready to snap and just loose it.
VooDoo wanted to slam his fist down into the stone again, what was the ingredient missing that could make his spell more permanent.
The male was about to curse when he felt a presence and his jerked upright, how long had that been there ... dear Loah's he could have gotten himself into major trouble.
He turned slowly towards whomever was there.
Since she rarely saw her uncle his face would have been a shock. He looked tired, his eyes had lost some of their glow, he had stress lines carved deep into his face and he almost seemed to have aged faster than the half-demon ever should have.

Bathory floats, watching her uncle intently as he stares at something she can't see. Her solid blue eyes taking in his posture, his diminished aura, he was tired, exhausted, not at his best. If she were going to strike, now would be the time.
She doesn't, simply watching the man who's caused her so much grief, waiting to see how long it takes him to notice...ah, there. She buries her surprise at his appearance, keeping her face smooth and neutral.
"Uncle....we need to speak. And you need to rest."
Surprising words coming from a beta he's either ignored or deemed to be not family for her entire life. But there's no denying the family connection, not with her tail looking so very much like his father's, like her father's.
She draws closer, cautiously, alert to any moves he might make against her. Her eyes darting a glance at what he's been looking at so intently.

VooDoos's haggered mind didn't put the voice, and appearance to the abomination of his brother's loins at first. It finally did though and he had to physically tense more not to recoil with a venomous hiss at the female before him now.
"Go back to your own home, you aren't welcome in mine." He had always been the most stubborn and prideful beta in his family, striving for the best, nothing less would have ever satisfied him.
With a sweeping motion he turned back to the open spell book, diagrams of eyes, ad spells dotted the pages along with jumbles of words that were hard if not impossible to read if you didn't know what you were looking at. He bent back over the book, palms pressed firmly against the cool stone. Beneath skin and scale, his muscles twitched and jerked in protest of the use. Wild eyes scanned the book bellow him. He snorted as smoke blew from his nostrils.
With a growl he slammed the book shut and tossed it, jerking upright, his back rigid.

"Working yourself to exhaustion like this will not help Ouija. If anything, she'll only worry more."
Bathory doesn't move an inch, if he wants her out that badly, he'll have to throw her out, and the stubborn set to her jaw says she'll fight him for the right to stay.
"And just because you don't want me here doesn't mean I'm not welcome. Others are not so proud, or stubborn. They see the benefit in working with me. My blood is not so weak as you seem to think."
She sighs and shakes her head, lifting a hand and drawing the book towards her, leaving it to float in front of her while the pages flip.
"Believe it or not, -Uncle-, there are others who would like to help her, and you are obviously exhausted from being at this so long. Let me do the grunt work, the reading and such, let me prove myself to you."
She looks up, staring at him with those blank blue orb eyes, hard to believe they function normally, she looks like she should be blind herself.

VooDoo listened to her silently but his face never once softened, his mouth didn't even twitch from it's hard line. He was very hard to get close too, and the sweat glistening on his skin showed why, scars that the normal eye never would have seen as they were hidden by his own talents, etched deep into the bronzed skin and black tail. The stitched mouth, a deep scar running right across his neck. He didn't trust a soul outside of immediate family, and his own body was a testimonial as to why.
"I don't -need- your help girl, if I wanted help I have another servant to do the grunt work I need done."
He grabbed the book back from her and snapped it shut, a lock clicking closed. He set the leather book back down on the rock his hand resting firmly on it.
He eyed her when she spoke of wanting to help the female too, why would -she- want to help the female so badly to risk his wrath.
"This spell is to important to my aid to let an unproven girl help with it."

Bathory simply sighs and looks at VooDoo again, arching a brow at him. She regards silently for a few long minutes then simply nods.
"And its too important for you to be working on while exhausted. If you are so worried, then let me prove myself."
She shakes her head a bit and stares straight at him, unflinching despite his vehemence.
"I want to help her. Of everyone, she's always been kind to me and accepted me even though your own children treat her like s**t. I share a tank with magicians and Loa, demons and Vodoun practitioners. Do you really think that I -haven't- learned from them everything that I can?"
