I went to the temple today with my ward and did some baptisms by proxy and some confirmations. It was so amazing. This is my second time going and I can't wait to go again next week!

During the confirmations, it was almost like I could see the people's faces that I was being confirmed for. It's kind of hard to describe.. But I was pleased with the work I was able to perform and I know those people I did temple work for were pleased too! heart

I've felt that too, like they're leaving the room to go on

Yea...It was so cool because I felt them there and it's like they were waiting on me to complete the work, then as soon as it was completed they were pleased and moved on to finish the work that they needed to do!

congratulations it is a wonderful thing to do I personally really love the food there and it is a major bonus to the spiritual feelings, my dad isn't Mormon so I don't get many of these feelings in my own home so I try to go as often as possible smile

Neither of my parents are L.D.S. either. They are actually totally against the Church. I converted when I met my husband. I've believed in the Book of Mormon since High School, just not Joseph Smith

I knew a guy that took 17 years to join the join, countless number of missionaries taught him, but he finally joined when his heart was ready... So never give up!!!

hmm I think it's been the same amount of time... thankfully though he hangs with a former bishop and one of the guys that teaches the Deacons (the problem with him joining though might be that he is a mechanic... but he did stop drinking and smoking... hmm maybe there is hope smile )

Yes I have accepted Joseph Smith as being a true prophet of God.
My parents won't even talk to the Missionaries civilly. I still pray for them every day though, and I talk to them about the Church regardless if they want to listen to it or not.

Mostly what I talk about is all the good things the Church has done...if the subject of doctrine comes up, my mom gives these responses that equal to the amount of one sticking their fingers in their ears and saying "LA LA LA! You won't convert me, because I know more than you!"
And my dad, just remains silent...

Mhm I have.
My mom says that the Church does a lot of great things and she doesn't think they are bad people, but they won't ever get her to convert just because of good deeds. She has vowed that any thing with Joseph Smith's name on it or any thing that has any thing to do with Joseph Smith, she will not accept as truth.
