Kawaa smiled as she bounced along back toward the family's den, listening to some kind of music in her head. It was a really cool song, all drumbeats and pounding rhythm, with high sounds over the top like the wind blowing through reeds or something. She really loved this kind of music, though she'd never heard it outside her own head.
It didn't really bother her that she was the only one who hear, either, it was just sort of ... a soundtrack for her life.
Poking her head into the den, she peered about, wondering if anyone else was here right now. "Hellooo?"

Bebenya liked the family den, mainly because it was safe and warm. He had found memories here and it was always a great place to run to when he felt worried or scared. He also liked it because only his siblings and mother were here, which meant no getting picked on…most of the time. Right now, he was enjoying chewing on a bone that was left behind from their last supper and since all his other siblings had rushed off to play, he could now have a chance at chewing on it and not get it taken away. Fighting wasn’t really his greatest skill, and he devoted his time to safely playing with the bone.
When he heard a loud ‘Hello’, he shoved the bone under his belly and looked about, not wanting to get tackled for the bone again. “..Yes?” He called out, wondering who it was. It sounded like one of his sisters, but he couldn’t tell which.

Ooh, so someone was here! Wrinkling nose a bit, Kawaa played a little game with herself in trying to figure out who for a few moments. Which meant there was a long period of random silence...
Finally, though, she padded farther into the den, peering about. Ah! Bebenya. Darn, she hadn't guessed right. "Heya," she said, plopping down in front of him. "What'cha doing?"

Beben smiled when he saw Kawaa. His sister was a shade of deep blue much like his other siblings. The oddball that he was, Beben was far from the same colors as his siblings, but a striking reverse of yellow. Still, he felt inside the den, they were all family.
“I’m chewing on a bone.” He lifted his stomach up and pushed out the bone he had been hoarding. “What are you doing?”

A bone huh..? Well, that was cool with her, though she didn't particularly like doing that a lot herself. Now if there was meat on the bone, sure. She'd chew on it until the meat was gone. But after that...? What was the point?
"Cool," she replied with a little flick of her tail. Then, "Lookin' for something to do. Wanna play?"

The cub stood up, lifting from his bone to look at her. She seemed energized, and he wondered if this was a good or bad thing. Being excited could lead to rough play, and sometimes rough play hurt. Still....he liked being involved. Playing was fun!
"Yeah, I'd like that!" He said, and found his tail mocking hers, moving to and fro as he felt something better to play with than an old bone.

"Okaaay," Kawaa said slowly, nodding at him. "What should we play, tho?" She considered for a moment or two. "Hide and seek? Chase? Ooor wanna fight?" She wiggled her rump around a little, eagerly.

As much as he grew in a pride that practiced fighting and hunting on a regular basis, Bebenya was quick to put aside the option of fighting and running. While he had raced before, he had very little confidence he would win. The same went for fighting, something he cowardly shyed away from. Instead, he played it safe and went with the best, safest option of the three. "Hide and Seek sounds great! Want to hide first?" There was plenty of places to go to in and outside of the den.
