THIS IS METAPLOT! We have begun everyone! It is assumed all of the pride is gathering for the news, and no post order is yet set. razz
Kabichi lead Shupavu and Yakuti to the central area of the dens, the young female sitting as tall as she could, before giving a calling roar. Her mother had told them there was at least one other commander...
Where was he?
A few gathered, and Shupavu stood by his half-sister, before issuing a louder call, the two beginning to growl and roar to summon the pride. At their paws, Yakuti, still sore from her attack, left a pridal stone necklace.
Her Great Grandmother's necklace.

Bokoboko was a bit nervous about this first meeting. She was not well known to the pride, as she had just taken the few steps towards joining it. She was in fact, nervous. She had never been in a pride before and it was her turn to be a bit of a scaredy cat. She leaned against Primitus for support, her teal eyes closed in-well, she wasn't sure if it was fear or nervousness.
She was a bit petrified really... But her mate was there and that was enough comfort. She was not sure of what was going on but figured it was important, so she would keep her maw shut for now.

Slowly ushering her brood of cubs out, Kohpi went up to her sister and half-brother, nuzzling each before sitting next to Kabichi. When she saw what the cub had dropped, red eyes grew wide before snapping to blue. "Kabi... What...? What happened...?"
Pushing through everyone else, Kumbuko ran up to her father and aunts, pressing into the former. "Papa... I had a bad dream..." She looked over, seeing the neclace. Green eyes grew wide before welling up. "Oh, no... Gram-gram..." The juvenile let out a whimper, burrying her face in Shupavu's fur. "She can't be, she can't! She ISN'T!"

A yellow lion slipped through the crowd, making sure not to get to close to anyone as he found a clear spot and sat. His eyes scanned around for members of his family, especially his mother, but he saw no one and didn’t have the courage to go looking for then during a meeting. It was his first one after all and he didn’t know if he would be yelled at for searching for his siblings while it was going on.
Hunching, the adolescent listened to the powerful roar and wondered what had happened or more importantly, what was going to happen.

Shushara padded out after Kumbuko at her father's call, yawning sleepily. What was all this ruckus? She settled next to her sister, eying the necklace, but instead of panic, the lioness cub merely nuzzled her sister groggily.
Primitus sat in a mortal disguise at Bokoboko's side, frowning at the expressions before him. This didn't bode well, but he did not reveal himself. Not yet. The male nuzzled his mate, rumbling in his chest at her reassuringly, reminding her no harm would come with him by her side.
Kabichi bit her lip, looking from her sister to the assembled pride.
"Tonight, a cub in the pride was attacked by an outsider." Kabichi said quietly.
"Shupavu and I went with the commander to investigate... She attacked the would-be cubnapper and drove her away... But..."
Shupavu spoke, allowing Kabichi to bury her face in Kohpi.
"Commander Mioyo is missing. And possibly dead. At this time, we only know of another commander, commander Dovev..."
Shupavu eyed about. Wait... The firekin male was missing? Suspicious... At least to him...

Dovev hurried into the growing crowd, only to hear words that he hadn't wanted to hear. She was missing. The lioness who'd brought he and Belle into this safe haven, this mismatched family. She'd given him the choice to lead with her, and now...Had she somehow known? Was that why?
The green leopard approached the siblings, head bowed. "I came as quickly as I could. I...are there no leads to her fate, Shupavu?" He couldn't imagine Mioyo just vanishing. What had happened? And if she was...dead...where was her body?

Bokoboko watched all these happenings, her teal eyes frightened. Already she was afraid. She knew this was something important because Primitus was hiding his true form, which she sort of disliked. She loved him as he was but-she supposed there was a reason for it. She lifted her fuzzy ears as the events were described. She rested her head against her mates chest, listening to him rumble. It was calming-soothing.

Li'a had heard the loud roars, so sudden and urgent, as he was just settling to doze for a nap. And having seen other members of the pride moving toward the source, the youthful male stretched and trotted along with the others. It didn't take too long for him and some others to make it to the crowd, and the lion canted his head at the odd mood hanging in the air. What was going on?
Curious, Li'a nugged his way forward with furrowed brows to all the words he was hearing. An attack? Someone missing? Wh...what were they to do then?

Shupavu looked to the green leopard, bowing his head in salute to the Commander.
"She disappeared running off a cubnapper. All we found was her rank marker. Other than that... Nothing. If we're to find anything, we'd need to track the other rogue down and interrogate."
Shupavu kept alert, attentive, watching the pride, and any straggling outsiders.
"Unfortunately, this leaves us prone, aside from you, Commander. Most of our ranks are cubs, unless some of the adolescents wish to aid defending the pride."
Shupavu frowned-- he had no desire to endanger anyone Juvenile or younger. At worst, they would need to be kept safe, watched....
Primitus continued watching the situation. Things were tense-- but then, he could sense the pride was understandably frightened. He pondered intervening--helping Dovev any way he could, then looked around.
Of course as a leader he couldn't do nothing, but he also couldn't remain the Commander. This was not his pride, these were not his people to lead. They were Dovev's, and Mioyo's, and they needed help. Primitus groomed Bokoboko's cheek before he glimmed, eyes fading to their proper glow, his wings unfurling into sight with the gleam of midnight stars as he approached Dovev, and bowed his head respectfully, the massive god's expression calm.
"If you wish, Commander, until Commander Mioyo is found, I will be glad to aide and assist your leadership." Primitus rumbled calmly.

Nana sat next to Primitus and sort of felt a bit out of place. She for one had never known violence or hurt. She had almost starved to death as a cub and from the beginning had the gods on her side. She leaned against Primitus as he kissed her and she sensed that he was going to make his move, stepping away so he could unfurl his true self fully before she took her place proudly by his side.

Nyx weaved through the others, determined to see what was the big commotion and why her mother wasn't the one sounding the call. And then...she saw it. Her mother's necklace. And she heard the explanation given to Dovev. No....first her brother. Now her mother.
"Mom...Mom is gone?" The pale lioness looked to her half-brother with wide red eyes, hoping this was some very BAD joke. But...it wasn't. She knew it wasn't. Nyx looked to the remaining Commander. "I am not much of a fighter...but I know this place like my materials. I can help keep watch for intruders and things that do not belong."
And her mother. Her mother couldn't be dead. Not Mioyo. Not the strongest lioness Nyx had ever known. Mioyo would come back, when the time was right for her. Her mother would come back...right?

It was almost too much. Almost. Dovev frowned, but his mind went into overdrive. There was much to do, and not enough time. Somehow, he had to MAKE time. He took in the offers of the god before them now, and Mioyo's red-eyed daughter. The god had surprised him a bit...would likely surprise him more once he was back in his den and able to process things, rather than just act.
"Help...would be a most welcome thing." He bowed a bit to Primitus. "We have few numbers, and fewer friends." He looked to Nyx then. She was thinking very clearly, despite what had just happened. Mioyo had raised her girls well. "Your offer is also accepted. But be patient until you are called on." He looked at those before him, then to Shupavu. "We need to hold a meeting, with a representative from each of the ranks. Figure out where we go from here. Until further notice, we need to protect the civilians before our outer borders." He looked back to the crowd. "Travel in at least pairs. And little ones...stay with your parents or the adults."

Gram-gram couldn't be... She wasn't dead, was she? Kumbuko shivered, ears back, nuzzling into her sister. Where had Gram-gram gone? Where could she be?
Pushing his way through the ranks, Ngoma looked around at everyone. What was going on? He'd managed to miss what the green-tailed one had said. He listened in, one eyebrow up. "Maybe she dropped that thing, so you don't chase her, like some sort of notice that she's coming back. I don't smell any blood."
Peeking around the massive white male, Kimiko frowned. "We can help..." At the look Ngoma gave her, the scarred lioness stepped forward. "We may have come from the Firekin lands, but lions there are of a tough breeding. I'm no Firekin myself, but Ngoma is, and he has a point... Maybe your commander left her marker, so nobody needlessly chases her. Staying focused on defending the pride is a good idea... So nobody else goes missing."

Shushara pressed into Kumbuko, watching the large white lion tentatively. Was he going to help? She buried her face in Kumbuko's side, shaking.
Shupavu nodded.
"We do. I'll work on gathering as many as I can." Shupavu gestured in salute, turning as he moved to do so.
Primitus gave Dovev a reassuring smile, nodding.
"Alright." He smiled to Bokoboko, grooming her ear, and wrapped a wing around her. "Love? Do you know if perhaps we may locate some allies as well?"
Kabichi looked to Ngoma and Kimiko, tearfully.
"Do you think so? Mama's coming back?" She snuffled. Losing her mother twice... She was shaking, looking ill... Ready to pass out. It was too much, and she began to sob.

Nana looked up to her mate and gave him a small smile. "I don't know if I can do that but i know there is something I can do!" She said softly, walking away from her mate and towards the crying Kabichi. She stepped up to her and without a word, pressed herself against the stranger for comfort.
