Now, this may be more aimed towards guys, but have any of you been given wierd looks when you tell people you like Lucky Star? Or, for those of you who are "older", have been laughed at (or called a ***** if your friends are as sick-minded as my "co-workers") just because the girls look like they're ten?

(Im not a guy) But ive never seen anything wrong with guys likeing lucky star. The show isent very girlish. I never saw why pepole think its funny when a guy likes it. I think its becuase that theres only one guy in the whole series.

not really had that problem, but also haven't mentioned it to that many ppl irl. it shouldn't matter because by the end of the series, the four main girls are over 18, and even the youngest of the girls doesn't fall under *****, as per the definition of *****.

I'm not sure how many references there are. The ones I do recognize are:
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (armband)
One Piece (wanted poster)
Bleach (big sword and skull on the thing she's sitting on)
Naruto (headband)
Full Metal Alchemist (arm)
Death Note (black book)
My brother told me the eye thing is from Code Geasse, the skull in her hair is Guran Lagon (not sure if i spelled that right) and something about Black Cat and Beck.

Chaos and Butterflies Most people look at me enough for liking anime in the first place. . . sweatdrop Not to mention the looks i get when they know i like Lucky Star, they think its some kid show like Hamtaro or something!! crying I know how you feel... Sadly I'm the only otaku in my school...Maybe highschool will have SOME otakus > ,>

Yeah my friend said it was a kid anime and then told me to grow up
and I was like "wtf".....I think It was because her boyfriend doesn't like Lucky Star or she was having a bad day.... neutral
