Through her habit of spending all her free time exploring, Intulo had found herself in a part of the savannah that had many more trees than she was used to. For the most part she tried to stay in the open land, since she knew it was safer for her with her speed, but flat grassland got very boring after a while, and so she had been drawn to an area of the roguelands where the half dead looking trees were much more common. Padding around a particular set of trees, she had been about to leave when she had spotted a shape in one of them that appeared much too large for even one of the birds that frequented kills. It had to be another feline.... Padding towards the tree, the blue cheetah looked up from the base of the tree and her suspicion was confirmed. There was definitely a feline shape in the tree, though what kind of feline she wasn't all that sure about.
Stepping back a bit so that she wasn't in danger of being under the shape if it fell, the overly curious cheetah called out, "Hello up there! What are you doing??" No, she wasn't always the sharpest horn on the antelope....

He'd been stuck in this tree for about an hour, give or take. He'd been up here to try to catch himself some dinner, thinking he was old enough for it. Clearly not. His mewls went unheard for a long time, so he'd just given up and was looking for a way to get down. His red eyes scanned the tree, and found he couldn't get down without hurting himself or someone carrying him down.
Where was his dad when he needed him?!
Someone's voice caught his attention and he looked down. There was a female down there. She couldn't see him, but he could see her. "I'm just... hanging around," he said, clinging firmly to the branch, trying to to act or sound to scared. He was though, terrified he'd be stuck in here for the rest of his life with only fruit to eat. "I... uh... I'm stuck?" He felt embarrassed saying it out loud, but why hide? Maybe she can help... he thought to himself, a frown pulling at the corner of his lips.

Oh! From his voice Intulo could tell that the stuck feline wasn't full grown, how sad! How had he gotten himself up there anyhow? The cheetah wasn't one for climbing trees or even being vaguely interested in climbing trees, so she didn't really understand the other feline species that did pursue such activities. No, she was quite happy running along on the ground, but this little one still seemed to need some assistance....
Well, at first his answer didn't seem all that distraught, but when he continued and admitted that he was stuck, the concern took over Tulo's emotions once again. The poor thing! She had to help get him down... somehow. "Oh! Well, um...." The truth was, she didn't really know how to go about getting him down, since there were obviously no branches low enough for him to jump safely down from.... But maybe he could get back down the way he had gotten up? "How did you get up there in the first place? Maybe you can get down that way?" She really did want to avoid needing to catch the young male, who was already about the same size as she was despite his younger age, and she also didn't really want to try to climb the tree herself, since she wasn't sure that she would handle the height all that well....

The cub grew slightly irritated as the female continued talking, but she was going to help him down, wasn't she? Orophin hoped so. He prayed she would. "I don't remember how I got up here in the first place!" He whined out, a pout appearing across his muzzle before sniffling a couple times. Maybe if he jumped, he could land on her! He didn't weigh much, so he shouldn't hurt her, right? And he wasn't too high up. Orophin was just a huge wimp when it came to being off the ground. Thinking his options over, his footing started to slip without him noticing until he plummeted down to the ground, landing on his paws, rolling. His fur stuck on end, tears poured down his cheeks and he stayed on the ground shivering in a little ball. What the hell just happened? He fell!

Intulo's mouth twisted a bit in annoyance as the young male continued to whine about his predicament. How long had he been up there? She found it unlikely he had really forgotten how he had gotten up, that was just foolish! If he had felt so inclined as to climb a tree, he really should be able to figure out how to get down on his own too! Just as she was about to say just that to the male, she heard a scuffling and suddenly the pale brown feline was directly in front of her. "Oh! Well, that worked I guess...." Looking closer she realized that he seemed quite upset. The blue cheetah didn't really understand what was going on, but seeing him with tears made her unhappy too, so she moved towards him, trying to figure out how to comfort him. She was not a mother, and barely out of adolescence herself, so she really had no idea how to care for a young one who had been upset, but she had to try. "Uh... are you all right?" That's what her mother had always asked when she had gotten scared, so maybe it would work.... That being said, Tulo had never really been comforted by the question, so maybe it wouldn't....

Was he alright, that was a retarded question in Orophin's opinion. But he didn't say that outloud because that would be considered very rude. His head was hurting and he felt like he'd fallen a lot further than what he did. The tears eventually stopped and he uncurled himself with a whine. The leotah male hated hurting; and that's all he was doing right now. His joints were aching because of his odd and rather swift landing. "I.... guess I could... be worse," he said, rather breathless. He licked his muzzle a few times and then looked up to the female.
"Who're you?" He alwys started with introductions first; it was what he was taught from before he left his mother. "I'm... Orophin. Oro for short."
