An anonymous avatar contest... with a twist!
Ever wish you could be famous? Well, now is your chance to shine!
Using only TekTek items (not Cosplay), try to make your avi look as close as possible to some famous person, whether historical or current, using Gaia clothing and items they might use. Have fun! Be creative! Keep it simple!
The Guessing Game will be judged differently than what we have done in the past. Instead of voting for the entry that looks best, we will be guessing who the avi is trying to represent. The entry with the most correct guesses wins!Each member will be allowed two entries, one male and one female. PM your entries to me and they will be assigned a number. Guesses will also be anonymous so people will not feel obligated to vote / guess according to who made the avi and also so the guesses wont give other people ideas. PM your guesses to me and they will be tallied. Each member will be allowed 2 votes, one for male and one for female.
Guessing will begin on August 15th and the contest will end on August 31st. There will be two winners, one male and one female. The winners will each receive a September 2009 Thank You Letter!!! The fine print: Because we want to keep this contest interesting, we will only allow one entry per celebrity. For example, there can only be one Michael Jackson entry. If someone has already submitted one, then youll have to think of someone else. Sorry it has to be this way, but, for example, if we had 15 Michael Jacksons with the same number of votes, we could not have a winner! Also, I will post the entries every day as soon as I get home from work. If, for example, there are two entries for Michael Jackson at the same time, the PM with the earliest time stamp will be entered. You will both be notified if this happens. In the event of a tie, then we will have a re-match. You will be asked to create a different avatar and then the guessing will continue for one week, at which time the winner will be announced.

This is a guessing game. The point is to make your avis recognizable as a celebrity, but if you make them TOO easy, you may not get ANY votes.
People obviously want REAL people, so if you make an imaginary celebrity, it must have been in a movie or portrayed by a real person in some way, so Ill need to know which actor played the role.
When you guess, you will be guessing the character as well as the celebrity.
The rules may change again as we go along... just remember, this contest is BETA! Lol!
