As the lesson finally drew to a close, Rinfala remained in her corner, one hand silently restraining Arioth from protests as Varth and A'bri stepped forward. At least her hair-butchery had happened before that, and she hadn't had to deal with having Arioth and her clutchmate in the same immediate area. Shards...it was hard enough having them on opposite ends of a room! Finally the room was nearly empty, and she rose to approach F'sey, Arioth following closely. "Can I talk to you, sir?" she asked, voice quiet but level. She'd made up her mind about this, and nothing would dissuade her now.
Bored with the whole business, Arioth rustled her wings on her back and looked around, looking for something interesting to watch while Hers talked to Ialluth's. She was sleepy and bored and she wanted a bath, and she didn't really see why Hers needed to make mouth-noises at the insulting one. Hers made her apologize, but that didn't mean she had to like him.

With H'dra dismissed to take care of an unruly weyrling, F'sey had to clean up the room himself. The greenrider did not mind terribly, it allowed him to organize for tomorrow's lesson, but it was still going to take him a fair bit of time. Ah, well. Asking Ialluth to pass a message along to Ceylith for his weyrmate, he brushed a strand of dull red hair behind his ear and began to take inventory of what needed to be done and what he'd like to get done for tomorrow. Just about to get to work, a voice interrupted his train of thought.
Raising his eyebrows, F'sey folded his arms over his chest and regarded the new goldrider curiously. Eh, he didn't have time to stop. Making his way over to table to clean up after the meal, he beckoned Rinfala over. "I'm listening," he said. He could multi-task.

Alright, so she had his attention. Aware of Arioth's boredom, Rinfala forged ahead with the hope of getting this settled before the hatchling began whining like a sleepy toddler. "I want to apologize for earlier. I overreacted, and I failed to control my dragon as I should." Her words were stiff and formal, as was her posture, but there was a note of sincerity in her voice. "I might not have liked the method, but you were in the right to correct me. So...I'm sorry." Despite herself, her mouth quirked in a hint of a grin. "I'd give your hair back, if I thought it'd help. I didn't hang onto it, though."

F'sey glanced up when Rinfala continued speaking, eyes narrowing a fraction as he tried to determine what the weyrling was gunning for. Her apology had come quickly; children usually held grudges for much longer, especially where humiliating punishment was involved. The greenrider straightened and considered Rinfala for a moment longer before inclining his head.
"Apology accepted, Rinfala. I do hope you realize why that path is one you don't want to venture down?"
The Weyrlingmaster kept his gaze fixed on the goldrider as he waited for a reply, momentarily distracted from his cleaning duties.

A hint of suspicion...but so far, so good. Rinfala would take what she could get, considering that the Weyrlingmaster had little reason to believe her apology was genuine. Her next words were carefully considered--the last thing she wanted was to land herself in more trouble. How to say that she got what he meant without naming names in the case that it might not actually be what he meant? "One is enough, we don't need another. Holders can be wary enough of dragons without feeling threatened."

A hint of a smile started to curl F'sey's lips upwards before he caught himself. Rubbing his chin as though pensive, the Weyrlingmaster nodded, but glimmering green eyes gave him away regardless. So she had caught on. Perhaps there was still hope for this one yet. Arioth was certainly not Cheoth's daughter, there was no arguing that, but that didn't mean she had to have the same reign of terror her mother did.
"I am glad you've gleaned that much, at any rate. She should not, however, threaten anyone, be them rider, holder or craftsman. It is absolutely inappropriate and a rule through fear is not a very strong rule. You've seen how many fans the Jr. Weyrwoman has, I'm sure."
Rolling his eyes, F'sey began to clean up again. Best he get going, or he'd be here all evening.
