Cetus was walking through the deep green, yellowing sun baked grass. He hadn't come up this was for a while. What had it been, 6 months maybe? Give or take. Snow made it look so different then the green lively landscape it was now. And it was dark then.

"That's right, I was watching the stars with that girl." He mused. As he thought about her, he could have sworn he saw her now, sitting by the brook. "The heat is playing tricks on me. She can't be sitting there, coming out of the water like that." He laughed at himself a little, walking up to the brook, thinking to dispel the mirage. But the closer he got, the less likely it was she was a mirage.

He froze. Holy crap she remembers my name! Wait, mirages can't talk. He smiled warmly at her, walking up to stand before her. "It's been a while, my sweet Harley." he gave a quick little bow of his head to her. "Seen any new shooting stars?"

His face softened as he looked at her. "Aye, I haven't been watching the sky. It's not the same without you to watch with." The little siren in his head was going crazy with a cornball alert, but somehow, he meant what he said. It was more enjoyable to watch the stars with her, then alone.

"Well, maybe the stars want to stay in the sky, so your lovely eyes can keep watching them." There was that pesky little mental alert again.

Cetus couldn't help the faint purring that echoed from his throat as she spoke. "Maybe the sky lights up for you and I, and only you and I. Why else would it have been so brilliant the night we were together, and not again since then?" he repositioned himself to stand beside her.

"At least you've found a way to keep cool." He smiled and gently pawed a little water at her, gently, so the droplets never went past her elbow.

Cetus smiled. "Is it too cold on your paws?" He asked gently. "The water here isn't that deep. Unless it's the rainy season, it won't go past your shoulders laying down."

Maybe it was because he himself was aquatic in nature. But he never felt water was too cold. "I could just stand here and splash you to try and keep you cooled." Sure, it was teasing. But Harley was so innocent, so cute. He couldn't help the gentle teasing.

Cetus smiled before flopping onto his belly in the water. The water rippled away from him, rising up to Harley's elbows as they surged. "One thing I don't understand about humans... they fret over that money thing a lot. And spend so much at a spa. My human said a spa is just a fancy place for a mud bath." He scooped up a pawfull of mud. "What's wrong with this mud? If a mud bath is so special, then I say rolling around in the brook is the best spa treatment."

He chuckled a little back, amused. "Well, either way, human's don't know what they're missing with a free mud bath. Although..." He wasn't sure if he should continue his thought. Might as well. "... you really don't need this spa thing. Humans think it makes you more beautiful. You clearly are gorgeous."
