Why is it that no one cares for the earth.
I mean pretty much no one does. They don't care that this earth that we live upon has so much history. No one even wants to know too. Every person everyday go through out their own busy life and they forget to thank God for everything he has done on this earth. The Lord has fought battles, he has made peace, he has cared for each living person on this earth, and yet no one cares about any little bit. Now, I know how busy life is when you rush rush rush everywhere you go and you barely get enough sleep to get through the next day. And I know that there just isn't enough time to pray or look up and thank God. I'm not saying I'm perfect either but I think we all, no matter who you are, I think we all should praise God everyday as much as possible. The Lord is the reason we live and the Lord is the reason this earth is a beautiful earth each day no matter the weather. Not only should we praise God but we should take care of the earth each and everyday too! We need to show God that we can take care of the earth and that we can follow him and his Word as he has told us to do! So, take care of the earth and praise the Father each and everyday! God bless you all , and all your life's desires toward him!

I dunno about praise so much.

The world is a glorious place. I think we should accept that glory, and appreciate it - I went a bit overboard in M&R recently about a sight-hunting jellyfish and about cuttlefish in general, for example, because the existence of such things tickles me pink.

But the battles of the Lord were ultimately battles of men, sites where one person took up stone or stick or sword to strike down some other person for no particularly good reason. The wars of mankind may be interesting, but they don't merit praise either.

Wars purely of the Divine, well, we don't see them, do we? If they involved us in any way, then they'd be wars of mankind as well.

Long story short... I'm confused on what you're after. Is it that people don't praise God enough? (in which case, I think you're wrong) Is it that people don't appreciate the glorious nature of everything? (in which case I agree) or is it that people aren't acting in proper stewardship of the Earth? (in which case I agree, but this is probably a fundamental flaw of human nature)

I kinda see what your going after and I do agree on most things. And I absolutely agree that most of the world does not appreciate what God has done for us. The book of Exodus is a great example. Most people, especially the ones that claim to be christians, only talk to Him when they have a problem or need something. Do they thank Him afterward? Well, some do.
I don't know if you meant this, but I agree that we do not take care of the earth properly. God told us that we " have dominion over the earth." With this great responsibility, we have to be good stewards and take care of what God gave us. And we, as humans who trangress all the time, are irresponsible and lazy.

i am after all those things the Lord needs to be praised for what he has done for us in other words we need to thank him in every way we can
but also i think people should appreciate the earth and what it does but not because it does those things but because God did those things
and also i think that people should take better care of the earth because the earth is a gift that God has given us to take care of

yea i was getting at that exactly
also dont u agree that we should take better care of the animals too. after all he gave us animals to take care of too, rather to eat or not we should speak to them like humans because the are just like us yet look and speak different same as other humans to other humans though. they are like us tho and yes we were made in the image of God but the amimals were made too and the were made for us to take care of not abuse right?

I agree that animals need to be treated with love and compassion. God put us over the animals because we have the capacity (perhaps not in this lifetime) to think like He does. And, who better to take care of the animals than a self appointed steward who is made in His own image? When adam and eve sinned, God cursed many things, including the ground. And I believe when He did, nuts, fruits and vegetables could not get the nutrients that they once recieved. So, I think thats why we turned to animals for the same proteins and other nutrients that our body strives for. But, in Leviticus, God lists all the animals that should not be eaten because they are considered unclean.

i had a high school friend tell me that strip mining was not only allowable but it was our religious duty, since in Genesis God told humanity to "fill the earth and subdue it" or something like that.

lotta hooey if you ask me.

the creation story says that after each stage of creation God said "it is good".

so does that give us permission to trash it so that it is not so longer much good?

i think not!

This Document has a statement that makes sure that whoever quotes this will sign and therefore agree that for now on they will make this earth a good earth, the living creatures on it good, and that they will praise God forever and ever!

So, if you agree that we should do those things sign this document (as in quote this and type your name) and start doing those things!
Are you with me! If you are SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
