In these thick brush lands, once coming in, it can be nearly impossible to find your way out. In the center of the forest, it is pitch black; no light comes in. There is a legend here, which is why the place is called Black Rose Forest. Apparently, there was once a girl who lived here. A creature from outside the forest, a foreigner, fell in love with her. She told him to go and find a black rose, and only then would she marry him. He looked over the earth for years, searching for a black rose... finally, years later, he found one, and quickly returned to the forest to give it to his beloved. However, once he returned, she was gone. After another year of searching, he found her headstone at a cemetery just less than a mile away from the forest. It is said that when he went back, he never has left this forest, giving up his existence for the one last memory of his beloved... the forest as dark as his soul; forever night.

Brannon, had just left the graveyard. Figuring the next best place to start looking would be the Black Rose Forest. Walking along the path parallel to the river, he marveled at how much it reminded him of home and growing up. "This would make an almost exact replica of home."

Fall kicked her feet back and forth, splashing up water. She'd just finished her visit to Grace and Gage's humble abode. Happy, as usual. The bitches. Fall was...content, but it didn't stop the ache in her chest. Losing Jonas, Ana, Brannon...nothing could fix that ache. Nothing.

Brannon could hear splashing in the water. Looking down stream he could see a figure. "What the heck, lets see who it is and if they at the very least seen mom." Brannon headed toward her.

Sensing Brannon, Fall's claws extended. Probably another hunter. They were like annoying flies, circling around her head and buzzing in her ear. Well, she'd squish this one too. The last hunter had met his unfortunate end with a thicket of vines. Poor fellow was still skewered somewhere in the forest.

Brannon took some time getting to where he seen the person along the bank, he got stuck in the mud once or twice. "Hello?" he called out, when he got closer.

"Goodbye." She said, folding her arms across her chest. Calling out had reassured her that he wasn't trying to kill her. However, she kept her claws extended. Idiot was probably a lost traveler. Fall obviously hadn't gone deep enough into the forest.

That voice. Sure enough it couldn't possibly be. "Mother?" Brannon called out, quietly, not sure if it was a figment of his imagination. "Mother, is that you?"

"Mother?" Rising to her feet, Fall turned towards the traveler. Her eyes widened. This man before her looked exactly like Jonas, but had called her mother. That couldn't be possible though because Brannon and Ana had died.
"Brannon?" She asked hesitantly.

"Yes." He said in a whisper. All his years of searching, had finally ended. "Yes its me mother." Brannon took a few steps forward, before launching into a run. "I have been looking for you forever."

Fall smiled, truly smiled and pulled Brannon into her arms. "I-I thought that when Jonas had died you and Ana had also died. I could've sworn." Tears of joy dripped down her cheeks. "Oh, Brannon." She said, kissing his forehead and pulling him closer. "I've never been so happy."

Brannon returned her hug, though keeping in mind that he is much stronger than anyone else, tried not to hurt her in the excitement. "Neither have I, neither have I." He was on the verge of tears.

"Is it only you?" She asked, "Is Ana still alive?" Brushing her fingers through his hair, she smiled. God, he'd grown into such a handsome boy. There was a certain pride to the thought. She'd raised him afterall.

Brannon's face soured. "That... Traitor went and found Phantom the first chance she got. She gave up on finding you, and went to find that thing that created us."

"Ana isn't a traitor, Brannon." Cupping his face in her hands, she said, "I may have raised you two, but Phantom is your biological mother. If Ana wanted to get to her roots, then I completely understand. You should too."
