It had been a week since the first time Klahan had met the healer. With her care his wounds were healing nicely. The minor ones had left barely noticeable scars and the deep gash on his shoulder did not hurt as much. He could walk again but at a measured pace, otherwise the wound would open up again. He still depended on Faraja for food but now at least he could reach the water on his own.
A couple of days ago he had also begun to do some stretches and light exercises. His muscles were stiff after lying around so much. As he went trough a simple routine he thought about the past week. He had been so sure he would die. And then she had come out of nowhere and took care of him. Faraja was a good friend. He enjoyed her company very much and he didn't want them to part ways so soon after meeting. He would have asked her to come to the pride with him, but he didn't know if there was a pride still. He didn't want to bring unnecessary danger onto her.
He strained his leg too much and sharp pain bit into his shoulder. Stifling a growl he sat down for a brief break.

Faraja glanced up from her grooming as Klahan sat back for a break, she always worried that he would over do things, rush his recovery in the hurry to return and find out just what fate his pride had been dealt. She could understand such a need - Klahan was a warrior and it was hard for such creatures to lay in sickbed while their comrades might still be fighting. Faraja however was more concerned with getting the lion well and raked her eyes over him appraisingly, he was healing swiftly and she did not see any signs of reopening. She wonder briefly ho long his patience would last - eventually she knew he would leave and she would do her best to make sure he left in the best possible health.
"Your doing very well...you'll be hunting for yourself in no time at this rate"
She remarked from where she lay in the shade, resting from her earlier hunt.
"I've heard swimming is quite a fine way to strengthen muscles...though I've never tried it"
