Not Quite Human Rp The Story so far... In the not so distant future, there was a scientist who made a breakthrough with an embryo that had cat and human dna. This very scientist decided to keep the experiment a secret from everyone except for a couple trustworthy lab assistants who helped her with everything that she worked on. Since she lived on the outskirts of the city she used the cover of a green house and filled the greenhouse with jungle plants so that no onlookers could see in. Poison Ivy was planted on the outside of the green house to make it even more difficult and make it look somewhat run down after a while. Her name was Evelynn Montogue, though she was just Dr. Eve to most. Her experiment was named Katie after her late daughter, though most called her Kat. The experiment lasted nearly 18 years before the government caught wind of Katie's existance due to a sabataged experiment causing almost everything and everyone to die or be severly injured. Only the two youngest assistants and Katie survived. Now they are on the run from the government. Luckily both assistants are resourceful and geniouses which helps when your out gunned and outmanned. But it seems as though the government is always just a step behind them. Is the sabateur among them..? And along the way Katie meets others somewhat like her.. that other scientists have created..

- Try your best to make no one liners. I'm not going to ban you for it, but I will curl up in a ball and cry if it becomes repetitive. Do you really want that?! I'm hoping to make this semi lit.. So type things out nice and neat and READABLE!
-Also to make sure you have read all the rules I want to see a 'whee' emote at the top of your profile.
-Also to get a variety, if you are making a halfbreed, only one male and one female character can be of the same halfbreed species.. Ex Kt is half cat half human--there can only be one other half cat half human and would be male.. (but that doesn't mean you have to pair up with the same halfbreed species.) If there is enough people interested I may make exceptions.
-Halfbreeds are born halfbreeds they can't be made science isn't up to that level just yet.
-Be sure to read announcements for Events & Weather Related things. Events & Weather Related things will be in big bold, red letters.
-Do not use red in your post as that is to be left for events & weather related things.

Main Characters sad ((more coming!))) Katie "Kat" - She has lived her whole life in a greenhouse. She is the target that the military has been ordered to capture and contain.
Scotty Adaire - Youngest assistant though only in age, he has been helping Dr. Eve for five years now, when he was found trespassing in the greenhouse thinking it was abandoned. When he saw a catgirl his age he wanted 'in' imediately, though it may have been just his hormones curious at first he has proved very loyal..He has some sort of strange accentTatum Bloomer "Tator" - One of the oldest assistants only in how long she has been apart of the project. She once was a renowned scientist but one of her experiments almost caused a catastrophe equal to 9/11.. Interesting Info: He is excellent with sniper rifles and hand guns, but only carries an easily hidden knife when on an undercover mission. However his most useful and deadly weapon is his young and friendly face.

Physical Description/Picture: Bad-eye never wears military clothing, unless directly ordered too. Due to his rather unstable personality, it's been a long time since anyone bothered to when he was anywhere near a gun. Instead, he wears a black leather bomber jacket, his shoulder-length muddy blond hair slicked backwards. He wears a dirty dark-colored t-shirt is worn underneath the jacket, and a pair of faded jeans.

Personality:Bad-eye is not the nicest person you'll meet when walking down the street. He's sadistic, full of himself, and about as likely to shoot a friendly as the enemy. The good news is he runs by a code of honor. Too bad he's the only one who understands it.
Bio: Bad-eye got his name when in early military training, at the age of 18. Up until then he'd led a pretty average life for a kid, though he'd always been watched by teachers, afraid he might try to kill someone. He never did though.
In early training, Bad-eye was an exceptional shot, and was marked down to be trained as a sniper. However, Bad-eye had other plans, wanting to be in the thick of any fighting. So instead of shooting the correct targets in a supposed hostage situation, set up for the sniper test, he shot every single civilian. Despite hitting every target he wasn't supposed to, his accuracy was still technically one-hundred percent, and so he was passed into the sniper corps anyways.
Although he always resented this, he eventually proved to be such a skilled shot that he was put into a special team, made just for hunting 'terrorist' civilians, and given his choice of weapons. He is the only member of his team to have lasted more than three missions before quitting.
Interesting Info: His weapon of choice is a G3 Assault rifle, modified with a pair of interchangeable sights. The first is a red dot sight, set to provide perfect accuracy at short to medium range. The other is a long range scope, perfect for a hitting something at a hundred feet. Along with this he always has a military issue Swiss-army-knife strapped to his belt.
Note: His code of honor is as follows:
Kill only those that you are ordered to kill, or who are a threat to the mission.
Never kill for pleasure, or for emotion.
Show mercy to the enemy. Make sure they die as quickly and painlessly as possible.
If the option is between killing a friend, or killing yourself, to make sure the mission succeeds, kill the friend.
Never use weapons that cause collateral damage, and make every shot count.

Interesting Info: His weapon(s) of choice are two silenced glock 19's, with four extra clips for each. He also sometimes carries a silenced tactical UMP, but only if the mission he is assigned will take longer then usual. When using the tactical UMP, he wears a special combat suit so that he can carry the extra weapons and ammo.

Bio:When Albert was a small child growing up in the suburbs, he stuck out the most. He was usually quiet, but usually cruel. As he grew up, he passed his BMQ with flying colors, rising up through the ranks quicker then any private recruited at the time. After hearing the news that genetic engineering was going underway, he demanded that he had the same done to him, just to make sure that he would be able to handle any 'situations' that the creatures would bring up. And so, he was trained in 2 martial arts, almost giving him superhuman reaction time and strength
Interesting Info: his speed and reflexes have been tuned to almost superhuman. However, he needs to keep his anger under control, or else he can lash out to almost anyone. He is equipped with a .357 super magnum whenever he needs a little extra firepower.

She went recon and served as a sniper in more then a handful of deployments. However, nearing the age of thirty she's stopped and begun to wonder if she really wants to do this her whole life. With her biological clock ticking this is likely to be her last assignment.
Interesting Info: There are three things she always carries onto the field with her; M-9 Handgun, M40A1 Sniper Rifle and a picture of her family encased in a rectangular steel charm.

Tall and lanky with long waivy hair of a muddy brown color. He has a thin pair of glasses which he only uses to see far away, and always dresses sloppily, with mismatched buttons, unclean clothes, and his hair is always messed up in some way. His eyes are a deep shade of green, and his narrow face, which is almost never fully shaven, has a few pimples dotting his brow line.

Personality:Very quirky, and extremely eccentric. He seems like he's always nervous with the way he speaks but it's because of the lack of outside communication he's had. He's actually very compassionate towards Halfbreeds and reluctant to deal with anybody who says they're from the government.
Bio: Oliver is a child genius who was raised by his parents, government scientists themselves, to follow in their footsteps. After learning of what his parents did as government scientists, Oliver emancipated himself and went out on his own to help halfbreeds with his science rather than subjugate them with horrid experiments and captivity. His current whereabouts are unknown to the Government, but he seems to move around a lot which is why he has remained on the run for the past few years.

His favorite toys were two Yo-yos, a skate board, and a soccer ball. However, everything changed when his parents found out about the halfbreed creations. And the incident that happened 3 years later. Now armed with his yo-yos, skateboard, and new shoes along with special glasses, he faces the government, the half-breeds, and who ever is out there.
Interesting Info: His "Toys" were technology enhanced by his parents to help him get through the madness that is the half-breeds and the government. His Yo-Yos are armed with a radar jammer that activates when ever the yo-yo "Sleeps" When it "sleeps" It "Charges" up power, when it's fully charged up, whenever he does Yo-yo tricks; attacks began to form (I.E: When he does an overhand toss a small wave forms on the flight of the Yo-yo, then it moves towards the direction where it was sent. His skateboards been technology enhanced as it can hover. It runs in solar power, and can go around 60-70 MPH Maximum. Because of his safety, his mom put in a shield that also runs in solar power. It has a back up battery that lasts for half the night but the power drains whenever he holds up the shield for too long. His shoes has also been technology enhanced. Thanks to his loving but absent-minded father. His shoes give him advance kicking powers to super-human levels, as well as jumping and breaking abilities. Lastly; created by his parents. Although these glasses don't improve his vision (He's 20/20 perfect anyway XD) his specs has a built in Voice activating system, a GPS, and a special Radar that doesn't jam when he sleeps his yo-yos, and he looks stylish too.

She speaks very sweetly and sometimes, to get her way, she will speak with a sweetness that is thicker than honey. Leto may be kind to her friends, but if you mean them harm, then you better watch out. Also, if you don’t respect or if you abuse her trust, she leaves you to die. Not in the physical aspect, but she will mentally toy with you to the best of her ability. Her negative characteristics is that she tends to over work herself and she trusts others too easily sometimes. Also, she doesn’t like being put under stressful or pressured situations. Leto really wants something exciting to happen towards her and often gets in trouble with her thrills for excitement.
Bio: Leto has always lived the average human life. She went to school, found a job, and is now working part-time while she goes to school. Though, Leto has always craved adventure and has always wished something exciting would happen to her. Though, it looks like what Leto wished for may be a bit too much for her to handle. When she gets in between the government and people with animal DNA, things might start to get messy.
Interesting Info: Leto wears a ring on her left ring finger so that people won’t hit on her all of the time.

Bio: Michal was born 3 years before Dr. Eve created Katie. Her husband was originally also her assistant. When Katie was created the family was ecstatic. Michal was happy to welcome his new baby sister, even with the distinct catlike features. When it was time for him to start Kindergarten, the military had caught wind of Katie's existance.. Michal's father was picking him up from kindergarden and planned to meet his wife and Katie in another town as they had shut down their basement lab and made it look like an empty basement. Unfortunately, Michal and his father never met up with Dr. Eve, as the military had captured them, and accidently killed Michal's father. To sweep away the evidence they sent Michal away for 'special training' at the age of 5. As he got older he had somewhat forgotten of his childhood drama--except for in his sleep. Finally after 15 years of following orders, he got fed up and decided to hack into his own classified file and read about his origins. It was then he began to remember his childhood draman.. A fellow soldier, Terry, had witnessed this and decided to turn Michal in. Before they could arrest Michal he had gone A-WoL to find and protect his sister. He was more determined after what he had read about what had happened to his mother. He blamed the military for ruining his childhood and family.
Interesting Info: A world war two combat knife, a custom silenced 9mm handgun, A.I. interface.
Michal was a test subject for the military A.I. program which caused him to split personalities. One side a dark twisted side that will get the job done no matter what the cost, the other side his lighter side he is much nicer and helps people, he can switch at free will between the two. Michal is a master of stealth with a special stealth suit, That cloaks him Partially, so hes almost invisible to the human eye when hes in the dark or shadows.

Physical Description/Picture: In order to blend in, Kat tends to wear a hat at all times to hide her ears. She sometimes will wear her hair in pigtails which hide her ears in hot weather. Her tail is a bit easier to hide.

Bio:To Kat, Dr. Eve was as close as a mother as she ever had. When the two assistants came to get her for her routine checkup when the explosion had taken place. Scotty was the one who grabbed Kat's hand and pulled her away from the wreckage. They had ran about a mile away before any athorities had arrived. Unfortunately, they found enough evidence about Kat that the government sent the military to retrieve her. She can never stay in one place too long.
Interesting Info: Surprisingly she hates tuna from a can. She likes her fish fresh from the water..

Personality:Shy, forgiving, polite to friends, rude to anybody who threatens him, hurts him, threatens a friend, ect.
Bio:He was raised in a lab doing painful expiriments created by loving people. The expiriments hurt, but there was a slight reward after them, a meal. At some point, the government heard about. Immediatly, all the expiriments, Adam being the only human, err.. part human, one, were destroyed, but they let him loose.
Interesting Info:He plays the electric guitar, says that the Raven part of him just just a "slight genetic quirk," and he doesn't like to be in one place for to long thanks to the government.

Rina tried to convince them to let her go by making a deal. They agreed on one of them. She escaped at the age of 5 with the promise that she would return 10 years later on that exact date and let them perform tests on her. Of course, she doesn't plan on returning or having any tests pulled on her. But they do. The scientists are now anticipating the day she returns. They expect her return. Or else they shall hunt her down and take away any hope of ever leaving the lab.
Interesting Info: Rina always wears a collar as it was the scientist's tracking device. Not very high tech though. On it is a bell that rings when she is in trouble or escaping. She has turned it off by fiddling with the buttons and stuff on it. She likes to keep it on as a sign of her triumph.

Riju’s eyes are slitted and yellow-green. She covers this up by keeping her eyes half-closed, giving her a sleepy appearance at odds with her sharp nature. Her tongue is forked, and she tries to keep it out of sight, but has a bad habit of ‘tasting’ the air. Riju also has various scale-like patterns on her skin and a large, scaly tail. Bio: Riju was ‘born’ in a clutch with several other half-Komodos, none of whom lasted very long. Riju was the only one who lasted more than 2 years. The scientists who made her tested her on strength, speed, and agility, leading her to believe that she would be expected to fight. However, she never got the chance to find out their true motives, because when she was 7 an extremist environmental group raided the research compound, destroying experiments and killing scientists. Riju didn’t particularly dislike life in the compound, but she wasn’t about to stay in a place where experiments were being killed left and right. She ran, making a living in the forest for a few years before turning her attention to humans. Riju often broke into human houses when the owners weren’t there and studied how they lived. She stole small bits of money here and there. Eventually she had enough to get her birth certificate and other paperwork forged, and is now living in a big city as a taxi cab driver.
Interesting Info: Riju has a cast-iron stomach (not literally) and is always hungry. She eats anything and everything. Perhaps because of this, her bites are highly dangerous and can become infected quickly. All of her teeth are slightly sharp.

Bio: Jacqueline was captured by the Government when she was young, and, rather than being killed, since she was still at an impressionable age, was raised by the Government as an experiment purely for taking orders and killing anyone the officials taught her was a threat. Her current objective is to wipe out the other halfbreeds as a suboordinate to the other Government officials sent on the mission, by whatever means necessary. She has no other life than what the Government has determined to expose her to, save for the faint memories that she shared with other experiemtns and her creator, Dr. Eve. Jacqueline has been taught to push those memories away and is basically brainwashed by the Government. Her animal blood makes her swift and agile, although not strong, she uses patience and fast attacks to kill.

He also has a white, long tail, but he keeps it tied to his back or leg in his pants to obscure vision of it, while he wears a beanie to hide his ears.

Personality: The best way to describe Heero is hot-headed, always ready to get in a fight and stubborn to boot. He is the guy that most would have a rather difficult time being friendly to due to his arrogant attitude. He enjoys fighting and his motto is "The more powerful my opponent is, the better." He does have a gentle side though, but it's kind of a hard thing to bring out of him. The scientists weren't so nice to him, so that's probably the main reason he has trouble communicating with others politely.
Bio: Not a good past. Born in the lab and treated like a lab rat for a majority of his life. Countless amounts of tests were performed on him and he endured it, but while doing so, his anger built until one day, he exploded. With his blood, he was much faster and stronger than normal humans, so overpowering them was no problem. Getting out of the damned place was a bit tricky, but with a few scratches and bruises here and there, he managed to get out.
From there, he started doing odd-jobs to obtain money and live. He slept in an alley next to the dumpster of a fancy restaurant. The fools threw out food every day, regardless of being used or not. He took advantage of this and kept a full stomach pretty often, until the place closed down. He started running around, stealing and such to survive. He grew up in the streets, learning a lot more about fighting and surviving than most would in their entire lives.

Though, the worst of his bad characteristics is his fierce temper.
Bio: Colin was created (with lion DNA) by Doctor Alice Lovette. She was smart and pretty, not to mention the fact that she acted so nice towards him. Though, she messed up by letting one of her assistants work with Colin instead of herself. Colin grew distant and his behavior began to digress rapidly. Sadly, it wasn‘t soon enough that Alice began working with Colin again. She was able to get him to stop being AS fierce tempered, but there was no hope. The government said that he was too dangerous, so then they warranted for him to be put down. Luckily, Colin escaped death by running away.

Personality: He's actually very kind and loyal, and he tries to stay calm to the best of his ability because when he gets mad things have a tendency to break. The first tantrum he had put two people in the hospital and destroyed a wall, he was only 2.5 years old at the time.
Bio: His creator wanted a child. Her name was Sharen Sahleen, she wanted a son, and since she wasn't in a relationship, she did what she could, and created Mike. She always tells him the reason she created him with the beetle dna was to make him strong enough to take on the world without her worrying about him. There were many times where his strength was hazardous, and it's caused him to feel like he's growing up in a world made of cardboard. Every move he makes, he has to do precisely otherwise he would destroy something. Sharen actually hired a martial artist to train him in how to make such precise movements. One time his master tried to spar with him, and broke his hand upon hitting Mike. Mike hadn't even raised a defense. The day that he found out that the government was after his mom, he talked with her and decided it was best that she go into hiding. He now works two jobs, unloading and loading trucks and stocking shelves at Home Depot. (He does his best to hide his strength.) He now lives in a small apartment and is working towards stopping the government so his mother can come out of hiding.)
Interesting Info: He has slight training in martial arts, but his true strength is well, his strength. Like the Beetle he was made from he can lift 850 times his own weight (153,000 lbs). That is only an estimation, he's never been able to test out his full strength, he has lifted and moved a bus once. He also has a slight exoskeleton to protect himself.

One day before he pulled another prank on his keeper some government guys showed up and said that they'd let him fly freely anytime he wanted if he caught some criminals for them. Ryu happily excepted with the exception that he got to chose a new outfit, which he got and modified to his liking.
Interesting Info: The metal pendent on his leather choker has a transmitter, he can use echolocation when he can't see things normally.
