I'm not really the kind of person who asks for anything for their birthday.
Seriously. I have to write up a list for my parents, and after a while I just started listing off whatever came in my head.. including:
"A blender?
Cotton Candy Machine..?
Soap..?"
So, my parent's were just like "fuggit, artistic-minded daughter, just get a piercing, we don't really care."
So, I'm deciding between a New Dehli stud [ A small Diamond/Crystal stud on the right nostril] Or just some upper cartilage of my ear, PIERCED WITH A METAL STICK. EXTREEEEEEMMME!!!!!! scream
They both hurt about the same amount, and I'd be getting it done by a professional.

I... don't think snot crusts over the outside of your nostril. Oo
Honestly, I say you do the New Dehli stud. Metal sticks jabbed into your ear sounds... veddy veddy painful. eek

xD It's nearly impossible for me to get snot, outside of my nose.
And, the nose might be a little more painful, actually. But I'm a viking, it's okay.

Psh. Too expensive?
I'm not a kind of person who.. can't afford to lay down some big ones if I want something. To put things nicely. It's just my neighbourhood, my parents.. all that. But I refuse to get hot headed about it.
But, it would only be around 40-45 clams for both, but I only want one.

Then I vote you get the stud on your nose. That'd look much better than a pipe stabbed into your ear xd

Personally, I vote for the ear. Nose piercings rarely wind up looking good, and when you're going our for a job interview or something later on in life, it's -way- easier to hide/get away with a cartilage piercing than a hole in your nose.
Besides, I think they look better. ^.^
