Well, we have a Great Hall (somewhere) and we have common rooms, so why not have a library?
Let's face it, you can't read Harry Potter all the time. (Much as we might like to) So, to pass those bleak passages of time between books, we have to do something, and many of us fill that void through reading other books. Therefore, I propose we devote this thread to other noble books. Whetehr they be old favorites, new loves, or something we've just picked up off the library shelf, this is the place to tell us about it.
Who knows, perhaps you'll find something capable of helping you pass the time while waiting for the seventh book?
Have fun, and remember, this is a library, so keep your voices down. wink

I don't know if I got this right but lately i've been into the Star Wars books.
I'm also a big fan of Michael Chricton, the author of Congo, Jurassic Park, Airframe, The Sphere, Andromeda Strain. Almost all of his books become movies.

I can't put down the Three Musketeers series by Alexandre Dumas for the life of me. I'm on the sequel, Twenty Years After at the moment. These dashing cavaliers are so addicting.
Maybe its just French authors. I have a major thing for Victor Hugo's works too.

But I never go. neutral

I've never been able to get a hold of a 'for sale' copy of Twenty Years After though, the one I'm reading I rented out of my school library. I suppose it's just not as popular or something.

The "So you want to be a wizard" series. Despite the sucky name of the first book they really are fasinating books. A more complex plotline than the Harry Potter books though, I acctully have to take my time reading them.

Fear My Bloody Fangs. The "So you want to be a wizard" series. Despite the sucky name of the first book they really are fasinating books. A more complex plotline than the Harry Potter books though, I acctully have to take my time reading them. I've often considered reading those, but the title of the first one is so...blah. I never could bring myself to read them. Perhaps I'll have to try them when I get some money. xp Anyway, I ADORE Mercedes Lackey. She's usually who I spend my non Harry Potter time reading. I recommend her highly to any fantasy fan.
