He hadn't originally planned on going so deep into the woods. His son, Silvera, had never been so deep into the woods where as he himself had been. He also knew his son had a penance for getting his hair tangled and knotted into so many things, it was worse then his mate really.

He'd already had to stop several times to pluck brambles from hair Silvera could not reach, and untangle him from branches and bushes. He wasn't upset or frustrated as many might be, it wasn't his son's fault he had such long hair. It was simple how he was and despite his son looking like a girl, he had thought he and his brother were females when they were foals, he had long since gotten used to having feminine sons and a tomboy for a daughter.

He didn't know why his son wanted to go into the woods, knowing he'd get tangled up such as he'd been, he'd have expected this from his daughter more then one of his sons. It was that reason, and wanting to spend quality time with his son, that had him giving in and had them now deep in the woods as his tail flickered and his ears twitched atop his head.

Black hooves crunches on leaves, the ground here was thick with dead leaves from years past, and twigs - branches even. "There is no one this deep in to see. I do not think many come this deep into the woods." Aside from those who were unsavory and the sort a Soquili didn't want to encounter. It was why he was on alert.

Even he wasn't sure why he'd asked to go deep into the woods. He had asked his father to show him around the woods his father being more familiar with them then his mother. His mother tended to get lost quite often in the woods, his father often having to find her and guide her along. Maybe it was his desire to not get lost like his mother often did, perhaps it was just wanting to wonder and feed his wanderlust.

Either way it didn't matter. He had suffered and paid for his wish to wander through the woods with his father. His precious hair! There were many a bush, trig, branch and bramble now boasting a strand or two, ore more, of fine snow white hair cutesy of the bit of nature grasping onto his fine hair and not letting all of his hair go.

Standing not a foot away from his father his wings closed tightly to his sides, mush like his fathers, his own ears swiveling atop his head and flickering with every sound they picked up.

"I don't think so either, but it is nice because of that. A secluded place to go and think and be away from every other soquili and being." Though even he knew those who were less then nice were likely to be found this deep in. He knew this was a risk but he and his father were fast on their hooves, though if he were to turn now and run from here he knew he'd come out of the forest...with half the forest, or more, dragging behind him from his tail...or he'd be completely tailless!

This was still however a place where it was quite and one could be surrounded by nature and just enjoy the dark peace of nature all around you.

Was there ever an age where the somber melody of the forest's voice had not called outward to all whom listened the creatures thought to themselves. Inhabitants were moving this way and that dressed in furry little coats or draped in colorful plumage. The mare who adorned the crystalline golden headdress stepped lightly through the brambles and twigs. She cared not to attract attention of predators now that a guest accompanied her. Arwen loved the forest for it was part of it as she was part of the grand creation she was stepping within. She was sure Saissis had never tread this far deep within the heart of the wood. But her own observation told her the little mare was quite content. Both had been without a companion save for the raccoon by the flutter's side. Arwen agreed nature would soothe painful hearts and carry them onward to a newer day.

Every so often she'd dip her head from the overhanging branches and step softly amongst the moss covered rocks. Even in its slumber or serene nature the forest was life in itself. The maiden mare respected this above all things in her travels and adhered to it well. She was admiring the flutter though for Saissis moved much like water over the terrain. Arewn had no worries anything would be interrupted moving to the heart where she'd relax and finally forget the trials behind her.

She paused though not in alarm when two faint scents caught her attention. Not breathing a word she kept moving knowing one of them well. She only hoped Saissis was trust worthy in following her.

It was like a dream almost as the water called to her so far within the forest. Being small she was quite nimble following the unicorn maiden that led the small party deep into the heart where the soul of the forest lied. She occasionally flicked her wings as a breeze passed them by. Her gentle gaze soon fell upon a pair of rabbits nibbling clover along the path. The didn't shy either as each mare passed which amazed the mare. The same happened with birds and even a herd of deer. It was to her as if Arwen was revered and respected even among the smaller animals.

As she continued to follow the lovely unicorn she breathed in some wonderful scents reminiscent of holy berries, honeysuckle, and spearmint. It set her mind at peace, that being rewarding with a soothing feeling over sweeping her entire soul. As if she were standing within the ocean's gaze as the breeze traveled by her mind was calm as her thoughts were tranquil.

It was only when a scent of two males caught her attention had she stopped and looked toward Arwen with a worried reaction realizing she too had paused and was scenting the area. Her eyes were bright at that moment and a bit puzzled as Arwen started her decent into the forest again. Shaking her head a little she followed after unsure but trusting Arwen to be correct in her assessment of the situation.

Just like the two females who scented them upon the air he too smelled them. Turning, tail flickering behind him, he faced the direction the females would be coming in.

Having already been in Arwen's presence, quite some time ago, he knew who one of the mare's would be. Watching his son turn, and have to kick his snowy hair from his way he almost grinned. He had seen his son do that so many times when turned it was something he found amusing now, rather than a reminder that his sons were both more than a little feminine.

"Do not worry over who is coming Silvera, it is a friend of mine. She would not bring danger this way, nor have a dangerous mare with her." He spoke to assure his son.

Nodding from where he stood facing the oncoming mares, who he had yet to see, he turned his pale eyes onto his father. "You've told stories of Arwen, I have wanted to meet her often." Those stories always brought a smile to his fathers face, a smile similar to the one his mother brought to his fathers face.

"I do hope she is just like you've always said." He spoke while planning on telling his siblings he had met their fathers long time friend Arwen, especially his brother. The three of them, himself and his brother and sister, were quite close really.

Arwen was first to step through to the clearing where the two males awaited them. Her head stayed high acknowledging who she was and who she represented. A spirit that knew these woods well seemingly enough to be one with the trees and animals. Like a beacon in the darkness where the shadows lingered she shone so beautifully in the two stallions' presence.

Dipping her head to Legolas she stepped aside letting the smaller mare step forward to meet the awaiting party.

Saissis was wary of meeting those unknown and yet a wave of calmness swept over her as Awren parted to the side to let her pass. Her mind had been washed of things since she found her grand daughter was in foal. Perhaps she should of been more complacent and happier learning of such an event. Letting that slide from her mind she looked to Arwen then took in the other two.

The first was a rich bloodline as was the other in her eyes. One more of a flesh tone the other was soft as silver with remarkable long snow white locks that trailed over his shoulders and handsome neck. She couldn't help but gasp a little at the presence of these fine stallions whom she felt dwarfed around in her own petite size. Still there was no threatening notions from the two so Saissis breathed a bit easier
.

Istas on the other hand was a tad more vocal in her chattering bounding right up to the males as she inspected them. Her paws which were never filthy touched the stallions legs and muscles as she inspected for anything out of the ordinary. She played gingerly in their manes and tails till she was satisfied and returned to Saissis once more nodding in approval.

Arwen couldn't believe her eyes as the raccoon had made her inspection of Legolas and his son. But in the same time she was amused as well for Istas did this routine to mostly anyone that came near her. Her eyes shined brightly at the sight of both stallions dipping her fine head as her horn followed catching a ray of the sun as it glistened.

"Legolas has it been so long that we speak among the ages once more?" she asked in her greeting for woodland spirits were much different in grace and upbringing then others.

She smiled softly looking toward her companion that still couldn't get over her familiar's reactions to new Soquili. The little mare kissed and molded of the ocean needed a good laugh the unicorn thought to herself. More so what Saissis needed was more friends to help her pull from the meek and backward self she had become.

"This is Saissis. She is one of Celendria's herd which I present to you both in friendship and knowledge. I do not know of any other which has traveled as far as she, and still has yet to see the world for what it truly is." the unicorn spoke as she glanced over the two stallions.

Saissis felt herself blush though she held her head high when she responded, "Greetings. I've heard so much about you Legolas but your companion I have not."

Her ears swiveled catching the sounds of something not too far off, a soothing message that trickled and fell into the pool below. Water always was a comfort to the little mare, almost like a blanket that could wash time over of bad memories. She let her feelings slip by and focused on the present marveling how magnificent the two males were. But even she knew herself was special, she just had trouble admitting it in front of others and mostly herself.

Istas blinked as she tussled in Saissis long silken tail peeking out at the males. Saissis was being social so this of course would get interesting. Still the raccoon wondered how long the conversation would last if there was a waterfall nearby.

Watching as Arwen was first to step into the clearing, followed by another, he kept his eyes on his old friend. As ever did she seem at peace with nature, as he himself was, and always a shining being in the midst of darkness. Nothing had seemed to change about her, nor the way in which she carried herself. It was something of the past qhich had come forward into the present time, and would follow into the future, something familiar and countable.

Finally his eyes swept toward the mare who was in Arwen's company. A flutter, like his beloved mate, though his mate also possessed a horn unlike this flutter. What his eyes caught also was a small creature which looked so like the flutter he couldn't help but smile.

Watching as the creature, racoon, touched and played with his being he noted, briefly, that it did the same to his son. It was inspecting them both, like all curious creatures did.

"I indeed fear it has been that long my friend." He spoke calmly bowing his head to Arwen, and the other female than as well. "I fear it has been many ages, more than it should have been, Arwen." He spoke calmly. He had not wished to loose touch with her, she was something of a sister to him. Both being children of the woods in a sense.

"It is a pleasure to meet such a mare. She will eventually see the world as we do, one cannot expect such things to be seen by all as quickly as we see it Arwen." Legolas spoke, giving the flutter something of a grin.

"Ahh yes, there is reason for that lack of knowledge. Arwen does not know this stallion at my side. May I present to you both one of my three children, Silvera." He spoke bowing his head, yet at the same time turning his head in his son's direction.

Curious, he was curious. He had wondered for a long time what his fathers friend looked like. He knew when his father spoke of an old friend he meant one of a select few. When he spoke of a female whom was an old friend he meant Arwen. That was how he knew who was coming their way, and was no stepping into the clearing.

It was like watching a princess, a very confident one, making her way into her court only this court was one of trees and grass, of animals and nature...a very fitting court of one such as she. With a smile, gentle in nature, upon his features he bowed his head in greeting to the unicorn. He did not see the other mare till he had lifted his head. Such a sight was she, smaller wings than he had ever seen upon a soquili but still they were fitting for her somehow. She was interesting to look at, and not in a negative manner.

After looking her over he let his attention drift from father to Arwen and back to the mare whom he didn't know. Hearing Arwen and than his father speak he bowed when his father introduced him. Raising his head he smiled. "It is a pleasure to meet you both. My father has spoken at length about you Lady Arwen, all good things...all of the old times." He spoke gently.

Arwen nodded with a softness that was as deep as the flowing river. She was proud her woodland brother had passed on his heritage. Sadness sung in her eyes that she was alone. Yet not that was anything to worry about for she was strong and forever as immortal as she was.

"An honor bestowed upon you Silveras of the wood and all it protects" she spoke soft and full of Rhythm. Like a silver bell set upon a lucid stream as the breeze did blow. She breathed deeply as her eyes washed over the two turning to the tiny mare by her side.

"Saissis tis a joy for children in one's life does it not? Someday I may be blessed with the same when only the star shines brightly in the east. You have a fine son Legolas"

Istas looked at Saissis and frowned, "Saissis? She's talking to you." Pawing at the mare's bottom right foreleg.

Saissis looked up as if in a daze. Her eyes seemed distant, almost called elsewhere by a far off dream. She blinked looking downward to her familiar then to the other three.

"Hmm oh yes it is wonderful...." her words trailed off, that single element speaking her name slowly, longing, forever.... peaceful. Blinking again she managed a smile. "Forgive me my thoughts have been drifting as they were created for a way now."

Arwen frowned a tad looking at Saissis. She had forgotten that the flutter's mate as her own had vanished off in their own worlds. Some took it worse then others in departure.

As Arwen spoke a smile came to his fine, ethereal, features. His son was indeed a blessed child and hearing Arwen's words, words he had not heard in so long, touched him somewhere deep inside himself.

"A joy it is to have children. I have been blessed with three." A triple blessing, such a blessing he'd been bestowed. His own words a similar rhythm and his words slow, calming, and ever peaceful.

"You will be blessed with children Arwen, the time will come." She would be a lovely mother, it was a shame she was not one yet. Bowing his head to the as he finished speaking a smile came to his lips. "Indeed I do, he has been blessed much by his mothers appearance...a star fallen from the heavens, a winter star my mate."

His gaze turned than to the smaller mare. Something was troubling her...something had happened to unsettle and upset her. He'd ask Arwen later.

Bowing his head to the unicorns kind words of blessing. Pale eyes then trained themselves upon her. "Your words are kind and welcomed by me."

Listening to the talking of his father, and Arwen his own pale eyes looked around, everywhere and yet no where in particular. Finally Silvera decided to speak up.

"I believe you will be blessed with children Arwen, how could you not? For someone such as yourself not to be so blessed would be a true atrocity, which which I do not believe any higher power would commit."

Her eyes were full of mystery seemingly always calm unless truly threatened. She felt a brief moment of sadness from her smaller companion not wanting her to feel abandoned or rather left out of this fateful bonded meeting betwixt the three err four of them. So she listened to the call that pulled the little mare so deeply responding to Legolas in a request, "Legolas I ask of thee that we find the hidden falls for its song calls Saissis more deeply then the wood does for us." She was not mean in her request but her own vigil of Saissis was troubled.

"As for children Elven brother and son, the wood has whispered many times. Yes, there shall be a day when the spirits will grant me such a blessing. A wondrous adventure sets out for those that listen rather then choose to pass it by." She smiled toward his son with a dip of her head hoping they'd follow her into the forest to the falls. It was sadness living within Saissis that water soothed. It was by right she was granted her tranquil meditation she needed.

Her gaze looked upward toward the horned mare, that longing settling so deeply in those pooled eyes. Was Arwen asking the stallions to go to the water?

It called so sweetly as each trickle sang in a song of softness. Come and be by my side. Come and listen as I tell my song. Leave your sorrow behind.... listen to my song.

She swallowed in guilt and sighed, "I must depart for now Arwen. If you want you can meet me by the falls. I can't stay...Forgive me" she frowned as she let a passing breeze lift her to the sky and carry her towards the water.

"Not right not right. Poor thing. Arwen you bring them to the falls..." she chittered as her little paws carried her after the little mare.

"A child of the water then." He spoke nodding his head and moved to follow his Elven sister into the woods, to the falls. "We will then go there, let her soothe herself and find her peace within the soothing babble of the waters." It was amusing how the Earth called to himself and Awren and to his son, or his son would never come into the woods (due to his hair of course), and yet the water called to this odd one out.

"All will be at peace when we reach the falls, the Earth calls to my son as well, as does it call to my daughter and other son." Especially his daughter, she was more of a warrior in spirit then his sons.

"Soon enough you will be blessed and when you are my sister your children will be as blessed as you." He spoke gently, going to nuzzle his sister, in all but blood. "The heavens will bless you a love that surpasses all, when it does I must meet this blessing of yours." Watching the mare depart, for the waters, he smiled gently. "It seems she is as in need of the waters as we are of the Earth."

"It would seem she is more in need of water then I am of the Earth." The call to the Earth was not as strong for him as it was his father. His call to the winter however was only surpassed by his mothers call to the winter, to the snow and ice to the very cold that made up winter itself. His mother seemed to live for the winter and all it entailed, like a snowflake turned into a soquili. His father however had other things by which he compared her to.

Trailing behind his father, and something of an aunt, he knew he'd have to keep freeing his hair...he just hoped his aunt would help his father so they could start moving again faster.
