"Mom? Can we get this?" That was River. One of the oldest brothers in the family, and second to Tykier. He held up a water gun.

Eve sighed, "No, River. Now put that back... We have to get things for the whole family, and you want me to use my money to get you a stupid toy?"

Kyler snickered whilst holding onto the cart with his tentawings.

Yanya thought it felt good to be trusted. Ever since the day she had arrived, her new parents Sam and Aara had treated her like a smart, self-sufficient young lady instead of the child others seemed to see. Looking at her younger brother, she wondered if it was just because she was angelically behaved in comparison to the dark little boy.

Rhys, despite being quite small, had somehow managed to get one of the generic bouncy balls out of the high-walled bouncy ball bin and was bouncing it down the aisle in front of Yanya. Aara had asked the pair to go pick out some snacks they thought they might enjoy, but of course Rhys had made a beeline for the toys instead. There was another family nearby, but the spawn didn't register that they were there until he lost his grip on the ball and it bounced away, eventually coming to rest at Kyler's feet.

He stopped several feet away from the other boy, somewhat taken aback by Kyler's tentacles. He made a little noise of surprise before asking, "Hey, cannai have my ball?"

Tui and La moved as though they heard, and responded to the little kid's question. Kyler turned around, "Hold on," he smiled, bent down, and was moving his hand over the floor before he felt the ball, then picked it up, and held it out.

((Damn, I wish that you can go back and edit the post style... Dx I forgot to Ornate this one! D cool )

Rhys reached out and gingerly grabbed the ball from the other child. It was kind of weird the way this kid wasn't quite looking at him, but whatever. "Hi, I'm Rhys. Your wings're cool." The boy wasn't yet adept at hiding disappointment and his tone was fairly monotonous and insincere. What he really meant was that he wanted a pair of his own, but he wasn't about to say so. The dark child reached out to grab one of Kyler's feathered tentacles, but Yanya was quick to grab her brother's hand.

"Don't touch," she said, her voice strangely motherly for someone so young.
