A grey creature with pink pattern was moving very slowley trough the rougelands. The high grass was touching his body gently as he walked forward. The creature was actually a lion tough his colors was a little bit odd but he didn't care much since he was almost blind the only thing that he could see was blury colors on his right eye but it had to be very close for him to see. Raj acted like his blindness didn't bother him but that was the only thing he hated about himself.Not to be able to see that was one of your six senses they all had to work perfectly for survival but in this case Raj had to make up for it with using his other senses more just to compensate. So you could say that his other 5 senses was more evolved. He twitched his tail at the same time as he sniffed around and felt the ground around him with his paws..now where could he be? this wasn't an area he was very familiar with so he had to sheck it before he moved any faster.
Then a tought of his friend Arachne suddenly hit him...where could that girl be? she was behind him before right? He turned his head around and tried to pick up where she was..
She was still behind him. The mostly white lioness moved quietly threw the land. Her red and black hair stood out brilliantly upon her body. Along with the spider web on her butt, with the spider upon her leg. Almost looking real. She hated it, but didn't say much about her discomfort with herself. She notice him turn towards her. "Don't worry, Raj, I'm right here." She said with a smile.
Of course he couldn't see it, but she felt it made things a little more at ease. Surely he could feel her smile. They had grown together, at least since he was a juve and she was an adolescent. She had grown a sort of love for him. Not as those for brother and sister, but a deeper love. Something she couldn't just openly say. Though that wasn't strange for her. She blushed, even though he couldn't tell she was. She wasn't open about a lot of things.
She took care of Raj, everything he couldn't do, she did. Such as hunt, and find water, and keep them going in the right direction. Even if she didn't know exactly what was the right direction. They had no real place to call home. Anywhere was what she'd call it. To her, it didn't matter where they stayed... As long as she was with him.
" It's not nice scaring me like that " he rolled his eyes at her as he kept his head towards her. If Raj wouldn't have met her he would probably be dead by now he hated to admit it but he needed someone and that someone was her. He knew she was older then him but that didn't matter to him he hadn't been thinking much about it at all but now they where both adults and both of them where strong and healthy and whatever they felt like doing they did.
He waited until she had cought up with him since he didn't knew this area it was safer for him to have her closer around him. " So you have any idea of where we are going? " they lived wherever they wanted but since they are always wandering maybe they had a goal? or did they? he wasn't sure but as long it was the two of them everything was fine.
"Sorry, shall I step louder?" She asked him. She didn't even notice she was being too quiet, it was just how she was sometimes. "I really don't mean to be quiet." She added to make sure she wasn't being mean about his blindness. She really didn't care about it. He was just as perfect without eye sight as he would be with it. Age mattered not with anything in her mind either.
"No." She said with a smile. "But that's the point of an adventure, isn't it?" The land was beautiful, in her eyes. Hardly any trees that she had to worry about. She would never go into a jungle or forest with him. "It looks like more plains... I think"
" You are a lion dear not an elephant so no~~ it's fine " he gave her a grin and puffed the side of her neck with his nose...he liked that smooth white fur she had he almost wanted to keep touching it but he forced himself to stop this was his best friend and she would probably think he was wierd if he even did something diffrent then just friends did. He was a male and she was a female maybe that was why things felt a little bit wierd sometimes?
" Heh i don't really care where we are going i guess umm forward? " he smiled and took a few steps from her so he could keep some distance from her. He had no idea how it looked really he could just feel and Raj went with the feeling and this area felt nice~~
She let out a little laugh, almost a giggle. She let out a giggle as he puffed her neck with his nose. She was ticklish it seemed. Or at least when it came to him she was ticklish. She'd never really thought about if other's tried tickling her. Though, she never let anyone get close enough to her to do that. Unless she was helping them in some type of way.
"Well, where we are going looks wonderful." She told him with a smile. She knew he could see colors, and that was it. Though, it was hard to describe to him on how things looked. It wasn't easy. Luckily he didn't ask very often. She wasn't very good at telling how things look other then the color and the size. She didn't feel odd around him at all, which was probably the most weird part about it. She felt completely comfortable. She blushed again, thankfully he couldn't see it. It was a light pink almost white, so her fur hid most of the color.
" Oh what is so funny? i think you would look funny as an elephant~~ " no lioness probably didn't liked being called an elephant but that is just how Raj was but he didn't have much experience with women only Arachne was his experience if you could call it that. Raj felt the area around them instead with sniffing, feeling the vegetation touching his body and by the colors of course atleast this area wasn't to dry.
" Well wonderful sounds good " he said and nodded towards the female as he started walking again. Lately Raj had started to think about that Arachne was probably old enough to find a mate or maybe some male company or what you called it but it made him worry a little because if she left what would he do then? not only would he loose his best friend he would also risk not to do any good after that. But why was he thinking about that? Arachne would never leave him...right? latley Raj had just been feeling confused and the only one that probably would notice that was Arachne..
Arachne couldn't imagine being an elephant, but she supposed if she was an elephant she'd look funnyy as a lion. "Maybe" She said with another smile. "I suppose if I was a elephant I'd think I'd be strange as a lioness too" She said with a giggle. "It's just how you look on it, I suppose. " She didn't think about the weight part. Because really, if she was fat, she wouldn't really know what to say about it.
Arachne had no plans in trying to find a suitable male, not when one was right beside her. Even if she wasn't fully aware of it yet. She some how knew that she'd be with him. Though, that thought wasn't in her mind at the moment. "What would it be like... being an elephant. You wouldn't have to worry about anything, I suppose" She thought on it. Heh ad gotten the idea into her head.
Well if that day would come he would do anything to make her stay since their bound was stronger then any other stupid male. He put up a plan in his head on how he would make everything go the way he wanted it if it ever happend. Raj had just been thinking these strange things latley...what was wrong with him? could it be the zebra they ate a few days ago? if was kind of old probably sick as well...
Arachne looked at him with a worried look. He was silent, he was never silent. Was he sick? "Are.... Are you ok?" She asked him concerned. He always had at least one thing to say. That was one of the things she liked when being around him. It was never too quiet. It was one of the many good things about him. She could feel herself wanting to smile at him, but the concern that perhaps he had caught something while they were wondering around kept her from doing so. "Your not sick are you?"
Raj's eyes looked very empty today even more empty then they use to look. So even Arachne noticed something was wrong with him well maybe it was then? But he didn't want to worry her that was the last thing he wanted " Oh i think it's nothing...or maybe that zebra we ate a few days ago was very old or sick but it's ok my stomach can handle it " he gave her a grin and puffed up his chest to look more strong and manly.
Raj was not a juvenile anymore not even an adolescent he was an adult and even his body had changed a lot latley. His purple mane had grown longer and thicker recently and his muscels har gotten bigger. Tough that was hard for Raj to see since he was almost blind. Tough he felt the same even if he had changed." You don't feel strange after eating that zebra do you? "
She continued to look at him with a worried look. Even if he couldn't see it, she was sure he could sense her concern. "Are you sure? Should we stop for the day and rest?" She didn't want to push him if he was sick. Her tail twitched on the dirt.
"No... I feel just fine." She said to him making her even more worried. Maybe he was allergic to something that was in the meat. She couldn't help him if that was the case. She was useless when it came to finding the right herbs to fix problems like that. If she wasn't as white as can be, she was now.
Raj suddenly stopped and turned his head in the direction he felt Arachne was. " I promise you i am fine ok..." He gave her a soft smile " But a short break would be wrong or what do you think? " He looked at her with his magenta eyes and hoped that he looked as confidence as he usually did. Maybe it was stupid to say anything he had never felt like this before but he had this feeling it had to do with Arachne and he didn't want to tell her that she might be the reason for all these strange feelings. No he simply couldn't say that. Or if he did he had to figure out a good way to say it.
" Is there any good resting spot around here? "
She couldn't help but to continue to feel worried about it. But she suppose he was alright, he wouldn't lie to her. "I think there's a nice big rock somewhere that we can sit behind to block the sun" She told him. as she looked around for a good spot to sit. There was a medium sized rock not too far, but wasn't as big as she hoped. It'd work for now though. "This way" She said as she tugged on his leg with her paw gently. She walked back wards a few steps to make sure he was going in the direction she had started to pull a little.
Raj felt her paw and he started to walk after her after she had taken the lead. " Does female hips swing more then male hips Arachne? " he didn't know what that came from but since he couldn't see he had to ask right? Tough Arachne should be use to Raj asking strange questions sometimes.
But Raj felt a little better now that he didn't think to much about everything...things where so much easier when he was younger being an adult was much harder then he tought.
She'd never thought about that one before. Females were kinda skinner then males so she supposed they could swing more then males. "I'm not sure, I don't really watch my hips and your hips" She told him honestly. Which got her a little curious. Maybe she should one day pay attention to that? She never though she swung her hips, but then again, She could do things without her knowing until someone poitned it out.
" Heh so you don't know well can't you watch over your shoulder as you walk? " that couldn't be to hard right? or he could put his paws on her hips as she walked...or maybe that would be to wierd. What was he now thinking that sounded so...perverse somehow. He didn't want to send out the wrong signals to her.
" Is it far towards that stone? " he wagged his tail as he tried to picture Arachne's hips infront of him. Now he got all lost in his toughts again..
"I'm walking backwards, so I can't really say if that's how I walk when I walk forwards." She explained to him. Of course she could watch now, but knowing her, she'd end up running into the rock, or tripping over herself. Oh, that'd be embarrassing. No, she needed to keep her focus of looking back and at him.
"No, Just a little farther. We are going to have to stop in ten or twelve steps." She told him as she tried to estimate the exact distance.
Raj continued to walk the 10-12 steps until he could feel the rock with one of his front paws then he jumped up on the stone and sat down. " You think we will fit on this rock? it feels a little small " He gave her a grin but he didn't actually mind sitting close to her so he was kind of happy that the rock was so small.
Then Raj looked up...it seemed like it was going to be dark soon he could tell the diffrence specially when the sun didn't shine as bright anymore.
" Come up here and join me will ya! ~~ "
She giggled. "I was more thinking of laying behind the wrong, not on it." She continued to giggle. He was so silly sometimes. No, they both couldn't fit on the wrong. At least not without being completely next to each other. Though, she didn't mind about this, she also didn't think it was a good idea to say the least. At least not yet.
"Do you think I can actually fit up there?"
" Of course i think you can fit here~~ first i lif up my right front and then you will sit down next to me and i will put my paw around you so we wont fall ok? " he tought that plan of his was kind of good but maybe she didn't want to sit that close to him. When they where younger this wouldn't have been a problem at all but latley things seemed to have changed.
" We use to do this when we where younger right? what is the diffrence " He tried to give her a childish facial expression but nothing on him looked very childish anymore.
She continued to giggle. This was amusing. "Raj, we were smaller then. We've grown quite a lot since the last time we shared a rock." She suppose she could do it, if he really wanted her to. Was she ready to jump into this uncomfortable feeling? Well she'd never know until she actually meant
"I suppose you holding me up could work, but I don't think I can hold you up." She said honestly. She wasn't strong, and wasn't going to pretend. "So... How are we going to do this?"
" Errr how about you get up behind me then? i can lay down and you can umm sit behind me and lean over me? or put your front body over mine? " he came up with this silly idea now they could atleast try it? that is what he tought.
" Just try to get up here and we will see what happens ok? either we both fit or we don't it's not more difficult then that " He gave her a smile instead that had nothing better to do anyway.
She was still unsure of what to do. Though, it was best to just go along with what Raj said. He was normally right anyways... Walking around to the back of the rock. She placed her paws on the top most part of the rock that she could reach before trying to lift herself upon it.
"Well here goes nothing" pulling herself up, she almost slipped but caught herself with her claws. Hopefully they could at least get it to work. She let out a laugh as she had almost failed to get on the rock.
" Ok now what? should i lay down? or maybe i should try sitting on my backlegs and you could sit infront of me? " He tought that was even better maybe then they could really fit. He liked doing these silly things with Arachne she always made life so much fun. She was his friend and his family since he had never known his own father or mother he figured they left him since he was handicaped. Being almost blind is not normal for a cub...but he survived against all the odds.
"Well... You move first, and then I will move. " She giggled. "or if we both move, we'll both fall off." It was like some weird type of game. Though, not sure what type of game it is... Lets see who can fall off the rock first, maybe? She couldn't help but find this all funny. "I hope you don't think we are going to sleep on this rock." She added.
" Ok i move first then " Raj sat up on his backlegs and tried to hold up his front paws up into the air so Arachne could get infront of him. This plan might not be so good after all but they could atleast try right? " Don't be scared the worst that could happen is that we both fall right? " He laughed since he tought all of this was so silly but still fun.
"As long as I fall on you and not the ground." She told him playfully. She didn't want to get hurt. Pain wasn't that fun at all. She tried to move in front of him, but this was a little tricky. "Are you sure we can do this?" She asked him. He was more to know if this would work then she. Even though he was blind. It was funny how that worked. He had better senses then her without his eyes. "Like this?" She asked him as she was now... mostly in front of him. She couldn't fully be, or she'd knock him, and most likely her off.
" I guess if we fall you can fall on me i have no troubles with that~~ " The tone in his voice sounded a little bit diffrent not just playfull but something more..." And sure why not? " He placed her front paws on her shoulders and tried to make her lean towards him so they could keep the balance together.
" So what about this? it's working fine~~ " tough they could probably fall any second
"Am I suppose to be sitting? Or do I continue to stand?" She asked him with a giggle. For she wasn't yet sitting. and didn't see where she could sit. With his paw on her, it made it hard to do anything. If she sat... She'd be sitting right on his foot, or perhaps his tail. She wasn't sure and was afraid to look back in case she caused them to fall. "But I can stand, I sit a lot. She told him with a laugh.
" Errr maybe laying? or do you fall then? " He had no idea anymore all of this was getting complicated now 2 adult lions was not supposed to sit on a small rock like this. Then when he moved backwards to try to make more room for Arachne witch caused him to fall and he pulled Arachne with him. He landed on his back and Arachne landed on him " Ouff! that didn't go so well " Raj didn't even have time to react.
But he still had a smile on his lips because all of this was just so childish.
Arachne's reaction was to try to catch herself on the rock. Her claws where out, and against the rock making a horrible sound as she landed on Raj with her butt. Still clinging to the rock before she realized it was too late and she was already upon the ground. She let out a giggle. "Perhaps we should pick a bigger rock next time." She told him as she hid her claws with in her paws and got off of him. She hoped she didn't hurt him. "Are you ok?"
" Haha i am ok but i guess this idea was really stupid " Maybe they should pick a bigger rock next time? He felt that she first landed on him very quickly and then she got off him fast as well. But Raj continued to lay there in the grass on his back. " So what do you wanna do now? "
"Well if we want to get anywhere tomorrow, we probably should get some rest." She said with a smile. "You know how bad you travel at night, so it's no point in staying up late and sleeping in late." She said with a nod. Most lions did stay up during the day, but the never really walked around much mostly laying about lazy and taking small naps before night came. End
