 [[Like the title? ;D]]
One eye slowly opened, then squeezed back shut. Then both eyes opened, blinking a few times at the light. Isabelle yawned and stretched, flexing her tiny paws. She pulled herself up from the high branch she had chosen to sleep on; the safest place she could find to sleep. Who knows when a demon could pounce!
She looked around, scanning over the undergrowth below her with sleep filled eyes. She sat down and rubbed them with both her paws. sticking her tongue out at the yucky sleep.
Suddenly, her tummy rumbled very deeply.
"Ooo, I guess it's time to get some breakfast" Isabelle groaned, rubbing her empty stomach.
She ruffled her feathers, then stretched her wings out as far as they would go, then jumped off the branch and glided her way down to the ground.

Kuniko decided to explore the surrounding region. She had never strayed very far from her home before. All kinds of sounds greeted her as she made her way down the bramble path; playful insects, swaying trees, and all kinds of wildlife.
A rustling in the grass made her pause, wide-eyed and cautious, but she soon felt foolish as she saw it was only the wind.
Chasing down a stray leaf that seemed to playfully dance along the air, she stopped again. Listening all around her, Kuniko's ears twitched lightly like little sonars trying to dectect the intruder. Something had plopped to the ground nearby...
Poking her nose though the tall weeds, she crouched low to the earth, trying to use her instincts, if she ever had any, to hunt down the creature.

Isabelle sniffed the air, just to check nothing was around. Then, she looked about her for any bushes that may have berries or something, bit amongst all the greenery, there were no tiny sources of food.
Her tummy gave another load, disapproving grumble and she sighed, ears drooping.
"I would go to a human, but I don't know where any are from here" She moaned quietly, plonking herself down on the ground and staring miserably at the floor.
But, why had she already given up? She hadn't even looked properly!
Suddenly, Isabelle's ears pricked up at the sound of something. She jumped to her paws, eyes darting around her. What was that? Was something there? A demon?
She gulped, trying to stay alert and register every sound. She started to panic, playing out scenarios in her mind of all the possible things that could happen.
And when it all came down to it, she was pretty damn scared!

Kuniko wiggled her nose through the thick tangled bushes, trying to avoid the prickles. She knew something was there this time, not just the wind but an actual living creature.
She had never seen a demon before, but she had heard stories. She was fearful of ever coming in contact with one, but knew if she did, she'd have to do something... she'd have to make the first move to protect herself.
Spotting a cool-colored fluffball, she raised her head only slightly. The demon! It was hard to see past the wild weeds and get a clear view of it. Hadn't the demons in the stories looked a bit... different than that? Nevertheless, she had to be aware.
Wiggling her bottom, she silently calculated the distance, required power, and then... she pounced.

Isabelle's legs started shacking a little bit - why didn't she just fly away? But either way, it was too late, because the next thing she new, BANG! Whatever she heard and slammed into her back, knocking her over.
She yelped loudly, as the demon was on top of her.
"Get off! Help!" She yelled, kicking and squirming - she was terrified!
Then, she opened her eyes, after having them firmly shut from fear. The creature on her didn't look too much like a demon, with a purple fluffy mane and purple wings. It was another Kuniku pup!
"What?! Your not a demon!" She yelled, half out of confusion, and half out of frustration. This pup had scared her half to death! And for what reason? She was too speechless to ask.
