The building itself lies in the center of a lake without water, filled instead with a strange sticky goo, that, while harmless, is rather disgusting. The lake itself is circular around the small island which holds the building, reaching about fifteen yards in each direction. The lake is also only three feet down at it's deepest, which means that it is fairly easy, albeit sticky, for one to escape.
A long stone bridge, supported by pillars, leads out to the center island. The bridge is about two feet wide, with no railings or handholds, so one must be careful not to fall in. The bridge is not perfectly straight either, zigzagging its way towards the island.
The building is made of marble, and resembles the temples of the ancient greeks. A wide double door leads inside, the bronze doors already opened. Once inside, you are met with a tiled floor in a large room. Two hallways lead out from either side, each lined with five doors on each side of the hall, a total of twenty doors in all. At the center of the room is an altar, also marble, about two feet high, with mysterious carvings on its sides.
The room would be quite impressive, if not for its other contents. The room is literally piled roof high with junk. Wooden crates litter the floor, cloth is thrown about, and the skeleton of some ancient creature sits in a corner, many of the bones missing. Books are piled in swaying stacks, iron candleholders stick out from beneath canvas sacks, and armor and weapons are scattered about.
The place seems abandoned, but what's that odd, sweet smell?

Snow approached the bridge over the rather threatening gooze. The air around him, or rather Mag, shuddered, and the temperature around him dropped a few degrees.
'We're not going over that, are we?'
Snow laughed at her enquiry.
"What do you have to worry about, Mag? It's just a little slime."
'But still...'
Snow shook his head, still smiling.
"Lady Perla said that it's perfectly safe to cross over. Even if we did fall in, I'm sure we could just climb back out."
'Says you.'
Snow just shook his head again and stepped out onto the bridge, trusting his guardian to stay with him...

Snow gingerly made his way along the first stretch of the path, concentrating. He stopped as he turned towards the first bend.
'What's the matter? You're doing fine.'
"Okay," Snow nodded and continued down the path. He made it past the second and third bends before...
'Look out! There's some slimy gunk on the path!'
"Where?" Snow asked, as he put his foot down directly into it. The slippery gooze caused his foot to slide out from under him, sending him sideways off the path.
Sploosh.
Snow sat up to his waist in slime, thankful he had landed in one of the shallower areas. He couldn't imagine what it would feel like if he had landed in the slime up to his shoulders or worse, over his head. Slime oozing off the backs of his hands as he picked them up, he grimaced in disgust.
'Told ya so.'
"Thanks for the warning."

Snow hauled himself out of the muck, trying to brush the, for lack of better word, stuff off his clothes as best he could with his hands. Deciding it was futile, he moved back over to the bridge and began to pull himself onto it, much as one would if they were attempting to get out of a swimming pool. In the process he only managed to get more ooze on the bridge.
"I'll have to get that off later," he murmured half to himself. Sitting on the edge, he pulled off one of his boots and upended it, dumping slime back into the pool.
'Hey, Snow...'
"What is it, Mag?" he asked, examining the boot to see if it was good enough to put back on again.
'Is it just me, or is there somebody else over there?'
Snow, sensing the general direction that Mag's aura was pointing in, turned and smiled, offering a tentative wave.

"Hey, Myu, look!" Nyx exclaimed happily, her aura seemingly growing harmer as well as gesturing in the direction towards Snow.
"Nyx, hush!" Myu hissed back as she stared back at the male whom was waving at her. She felt very uncomfortable and felt the urge to run but Nyx. Nyx would not allow her to run. She was going to make Myu stay. She was going to make her...be nice.
"Oh come on, you should be more trusting! Come on. Say hi." Nyx urged.
Myu scoffed, as she debated about being "friendly" or just running away. Wait run away? Myu never ran away. She would face anything; no matter how uncomfortable it would make her feel.
"Well..." Nyx urged again. She was always the type to socialize. She loved people and always needed social interaction to survive.
Myu sighed in defeat, "If they want to talk to us, then...they should come to us."
"No fun at all."
"...Fine." Myu hovered slowly over towards the male in question only to stop half way.

'Hmmm, that's strange,' Mag commented, 'I think it's another Zahdl.'
"Why do you say strange, Mag? I think it's wonderful," Snow whispered, wondering why she would phrase it that way.
'Well, it's just that the only other people we've met so far have been a few humans and a dwarf. This is the first other Zahdl we've run into.'
"Well, you spent most of the time dragging me around once we bonded..." Snow responded, smiling.
'What's that supposed to...hey, they stopped...'
Snow shrugged, not worried.
"Maybe they're shy or something. We should say hello." Snow said, as he put his foot back in his boot with a small squelchy sound. Acknowledging another warning from his guardian about the slimy pathway, he made his way down the bridge, stopping a few feet short of the newcomer. Smiling warmly, he greeted her.
"Hello. My name is Snow. I don't believe we've met?"

Snow inclined his head in the semblance of a polite bow.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Myu," he said, smiling gently as he came up from his bow. As he did so, Mag snickered in his mind.
'Nice first impression, if you don't count the fact that you look like the monster from the bog, slime boy.'
Supressing a flush, Snow decided to ignore his guardian's commentary.
"So, then, Miss Myu, what brings you here?"

Myu hovered backwards a tad, taken back at Snow's bow.
"So polite! Myu, why can't you be polite!" Nyx exclaimed, admiring Snow.
Myu furrowed her brow slighty, "Maybe I would be polite if I didn't have a nag constantly nagging me. Nag. Nag. Nag." Myu scoffed telepathically to Nyx.
"Funny." Came Nyx's not amused response.
Myu smiled slightly and turned her attention to Snow. "I was brought to this on a feeling that I felt. A force that I could not deny, but now I ask you, what brought you here?"

"The truth is, I was called here by invitation. The Lady Perla wished to speak to me and this was the location specified." Snow brought a hand to his chin, tapping the side of his face while thinking. "I must admit, there is a strange aura about this place..."
Mag, impatient with the small talk, reached out to make contact with the other guardian spirit.
'Well, for all we know, the "Lady" is doing her freakish magical experiments again,' she drawled.
"Mag..." Snow sighed, "You know that she wouldn't do anything dangerous..."
'Hmmph. Wouldn't put it past her,' Mag said huffily.

"Well, I think..."
"It is a distinct possibility that your being drawn here is related to Lady Perla," Snow interrupted, before Mag could get in another rude comment. "The lady is currently considered the top specialist on Zahdl and Guardian Spirits, falling just below the Librarian for informative purposes."
"She's friggin' weird, that's what she is," Mag stated. "If I had eyes, they probably would have been blinded the first time I saw her."
"Mag..." Snow warned, voice troubled.
"What? Oh...erg...sorry," Mag said sheepishly, realizing what she had said. Snow shook his head, sighing, but dismissing the matter.
"Anyway," Snow said, continuing his previous train of thought, "It might have been possible for her to bring you here, if not for the fact that she seems to have disappeared after inviting us. We attempted to send a reply before the specified date to come here, but our letter was returned unopened. We came here, partially to answer her summons, but also to see if she was alright."
"I'm suprised that the damn building isn't full of holes yet, from her damn experiments," Mag said, snickering slightly. Then she continued in a lighter tone, "I was hoping she could tell me more about guardian spirits. You're the first other one I've met so I really don't know all that much."
