Does it make you a guaranteed H.O.F. if you when a couple of Superbowls? Until the 07 season I wasn't convinced that Brady was in the hall of fame, I usually think of someone as a H.O.F.er if they are a great player, like you can be on a garbage team but you are still the best QB ever and you never go to the playoffs, and never get the stats, but I still would vote them into the H.O.F. because they were a great player.
And what if a juggernaut team has dominate players every where except at QB, they win 4 Superbowls, does the QB get into the Hall of fame? he did win 4 Superbowls but he wasn't the reason why.

If I remember correctly but Barry Sanders never won a ring but he was a good Running back and he never won a Superbowl.
As for any other QB being in there wait a couple of year for Dovonvan McNabb because he hasn't won a Superbowl but it relys on votes.

and on people opinion about you, if they don't like you your not getting in.
Their are lists of people who were great that never won a ring, but some people think if you don't win one it's because you weren't that good.

Oreion and on people opinion about you, if they don't like you your not getting in Your just complaining for the sake of complaining(I don't like Brady) but I'm pretty sure he'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame earlier than his cheating Coach.

What am I complaining about? I agreed with you, in fact I voted for great is great.

This topic is going to go nowhere but bad. I know because of how many times this conversation has taken place in the real world.

I'd say if you were never clutch enough to get into a championship then you shouldn't get into the HOF.. Of-course there are exceptions.. But mostly you have to be a good player and win a Superbowl.

I don't think it is the make or break.
We'll use my boy Ed Reed for example, We can all agree he will be a Hall of Famer correct?
Say the ravens dont win another superbowl in the next 3-4 years and he retires, I say he still goes into the hall of fame.
While it may help to get you noticed to get in, I don't think it is a make or break point in the process.

Nope. That mighta been the year we had Rod Woodson.
Like I said in another thread, I was 6 or 7 at the time. So im not sure who the safety was, I just know Ed Reed wasnt it. I think he was 02' ? if I remember right. I'll check.
Edit: Yep, 24th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft. and yes, We did have Rod Woodson the year we won the superbowl.

I have the question does getting to the probowl team mean your in or not? Because I think Stover our kicker sure does deserve it but he only made the probowl once. But he is now I think in the top five scorers of all time.

Look at Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Barry Sanders. All of them do not have one and I could keep going on with names. All you have to do if you do not get a SB ring is make sure you leave a lasting mark in the game. There are plenty of players though that have been snubbed over the years as well because they never got a SB. Randell Cunningham is a prime example. The mark he left on the Football world is a huge one and there is almost no person who does not know who Cunningham is.

Im sorry, it seemed like you were asking a question that just needed more of an answer than anything. But if you were going to go for kicker for Pro-Bowl, there are a few more that deserve it more than Stover. Stover would have to get into the top 5 in terms of points, accuracy, and average in length. Also more playoff games than what he has been in. Gary Anderson is the guy who would any Kicker should want to be in order to get to the hall of fame. He is going there no question.

I'm not talking about the exception guy, I'm talking about guys like Brady, if Brady had not gotten lucky in 3 Superbowls would he be in the Hall of fame (not including the year of 07 when it was made clear he is in). Kurt Warner is a prime example, he is a H.O.F. caliber QB but if he had never won the 1st Superbowl would he get in.
