Time passed in a contented blur for Bia, each day she smiled at the sight of her sons and granddaughters. The ache in her heart was slowly fading each word she had with Deimos, everytime she was able to spot Phobos smiling, the way her granddaughters played. Small things, but even the smallest of things felt like a miracle to her. She never thought to see a grandchild at all let alone three, and three very unique girls they were.

Bia slowly moved to find what they were up too never venturing too close unless invited she simply liked to watch and take it all in. She noticed the adornments the girls wore and despite her curiosity she had yet to ask them about them. Atropos was the only one without a trinket, but of course her naturally sharp fangs were quite the adornment in and of themselves.

Pointing her nose to the wind, the largest sister watched as a raven rode the air currents far above. It wheeled and spun, turning its head until its beady black eyes met her own gaze. It suddenly swooped with a raucous caw, it's curiosity getting the better of it. She watched it as it started flying above and around her, sometimes landing with one foot on the ground, but jumping back into the air if her ear so much as twitched.

Tilting her head to one side, Atropos glanced at her sisters, for the three of them were never out of eye sight of each other.

Watching the raven, Lachesis dropped her stick to the ground, between her paws, where Clotho's piece of shining string lay. Cocking her head, she glanced down at the two pieces of oddity, making a small chuff of sound.

With a sudden lightning intensity, Atropos snapped her jaws and suddenly the raven was in her grasp, squawking and flapping it's blacker than night wings so fiercely, the long-fanged femme had to shut her eyes to keep from getting blinded.

A sharp crunch punctuated the noise, and then all was silent. Tail wagging gently, Atropos let the body drop to the ground as she made her way over to her sisters.

"Phobos . . . "

The alpha's ears were back, and he glanced at his brother with blue eyes stormed over in worry.

"I saw it," the vagabond murmured, mirroring Deimos' thoughts and feelings about their little nieces.

Bia smiled and walked over curiously her red eyes gleaming with pride she wasn't concerned...but of course she probably would have pushed away any concerns. Now that she finally had her family she would probably forgive them any transgression.

"Atropos that was amazing darling! Your so fast!" Bia praised with her tail wagging. She moved a bit closer hoping to spend a little more time close to her granddaughters.

Grinning at her grandmother, Clotho grabbed her string in her teeth and worked it around her front paw before pouncing on her grandmother. Of the three, she was the most affectionate and she showered her grandmother in licks, tail wagging as she tried to get Bia to play.

Watching Bia with her piercing gaze, Atropos cleaned the blood from her elongated fangs with a casual swipe of her tongue, her gaze than flicking to Deimos and Phobos, meeting their stares. "Faster then you know, dear grandmother . . . "

Deimos started to pace, his worrisome thoughts biting at him. Phobos' presence usually kept him calm, but too many things were battling inside his head. Clotho's words still claimed the forefront of all his worries, and he wondered what the sign was that she had talked about. A sign that would let him know when it was safe to move the pack.

But he didn't know what it was. What if he missed it? What if something happened to the pack because he didn't catch some important part of the puzzle?

Growling in frustration, he flopped onto the ground and rolled onto his back, staring at the sky through the reaching branches of the trees. A shadow loomed over him and he locked gazes with his brother.

"Relax, Dei. You're going to drive yourself to crazy if you don't let some of those thoughts of yours go. You're a strong wolf and a capable alpha. We all trust and know that you'll protect us." Giving Deimos a reassuring lick, the black vagabond stretched out next to him and let the sun relax him into a doze.

Bia chuckled as Clotho pounced and tenderly nuzzled her rolling over playfully to bat at her with her paws and n** at her ears. She adored her granddaughters even the sometimes eerie Atropos. In her she saw some of Moirai and it made her heart clench with love and apprehension. Still there was no fear left in her, not when it was fear that had destroyed so much of her happiness. She probably wouldn't even have been afraid if Atropos had snapped at her, hurt perhaps but never afraid of her own darlings never again. Some would call it sheer stupidity, and others blind devotion, neither extreme was wise but Bia for all her years was not wise her tender emotions ruled her.

She wriggled away from Clotho and moved to lay down near Deimos worried for her son. He was so heavily burdened and she wondered if he realized how much he looked like his father at times. Ares too had been worried and burdened that winter when they had born their sons. The very air seemed so against them and only their love for one another kept them warm and alive most nights. She tore her thoughts away from the painful memories and focused on the present.

Deimos glanced at his mother with half-lidded eyes, ear flicking towards her. "Hi," he murmured, letting out a sigh and closing his bright blue eyes. The sisters started to play, and their sounds, so worry free and playful, calmed him a bit. Made it easier to ask what had been on his mind since Clotho had spoken the words.

"Did you know that my father had a brother?"

Bia looked at Deimos curiously and tilted her head "Ares never spoke of siblings..." She murmured softly. She closed her eyes for a moment summoning old memories , painful memories of her mate long gone.

"We met closer to the mountains though...it wasn't near here..." She sighed and opened her eyes looking at her son. "Why?"
