Here is where I share them
This thread exists for the sole purpose of sharing my finer [depending on your point of view] photographic moments.
Not every picture in this thread is wonderful or amazing, and none are in any way perfect. But I am proud of them none the less, for they are mine.

Guidelines to be kept
I don't want to make rules but this is my thread and I want to increase respect and minimise unpleasantness. To this effect I have a few guidelines to put in place.
✖ Constructive criticism is welcome, encouraged even, just plain criticism is NOT.
.....i.e. Don't just say you don't like my stuff, say why and what I can do to improve.
✖ This is my thread so please don't post your pictures, or else.
.....If you really want to show a picture you can post a link to your own thread or picture, but don't fill my thread with actual pictures.
✖ Don't dish out hatred. I don't care what someone says, don't start hatred in this thread or I will take action.
✖ Follow the guild rules and Gaia TOS, cause I will report you to relevant people if you don't. Be smart right?
✖ I think it goes without saying that you shouldn't be swearing, stealing or doing anything anti-social here. But I said it anyway.
✖ If you can't follow the guidelines I will ask you politely to stop. If you don't then I'll take it to Alustrial and let her decide what to do

This is where I give you some information, about how this thread will run and about my photography in general. Two categories, the post is split as such. Obvious right?
The thread
What's "The Buzz" for?
The Buzz is where I post my latest pictures, so that if [for some reason] my thread spills over several pages you don't have to search for them, they're there.
When does a picture stop appearing in "The Buzz"?
After a week. Then I post them in the thread. If you miss a picture [or you saw it once and want to see it again] well, then you have to trawl through some pages.
How often do you check the thread?
Every day [British day that is - GMT]. Or if I'm away whenever I can. If you leave a comment I will get back to you, I promise.
I have another question about the thread that you haven't answered!
Well I'm not psychic! Ask me and your question shall be answered. What's more it'll be posted right here for you and others to see.
The photography
What camera do you use?
You don't wanna know. Seriously, I use an amazing camera - a Sanyo VPC-X360 - never heard of it? Well it's 6 years old. It has no zoom and makes everything slightly grey [in a very British manner]
When I'm not using that wonderful piece of equipment I use my phone [which probably has a better camera...] - a Sony Ericsson W595. And people wonder why my photos aren't the best.
What editing do you do?
Depends on which camera I'm using and how it turns out. I do all my editing through a FREE site called picnik. I'll discuss specific editing for a picture if you ask.
I've seen your picture elsewhere, did you steal?
No! Not ever. If you've seen it either someone's stolen it off of ME or I posted it wherever you saw it. If you see it on deviant art under the username tigerlily963 that's me. If it's posted on any site by someone who's username is neither streets of nowhere OR tigerlily963 I would like to be informed!
Will you ever post a picture that's not yours?
No Ok, maybe but only if it helps explain a photo I've taken. If I ever do I will ask permission AND credit the person.
I have a question about photography you haven't answered!
Basically, SEE ABOVE but these questions will be taken on a Q by Q basis. If it's something really specific I might not post it up here but I will always try and answer your questions!

"The Buzz"
The latest and greatest
 The Duck06/08/09So I was by a pond last weekend and this duck just came out of nowhere and it was swimming round really close and I decided to take a picture of it.
And that picture turned out really really brown because the water was so filthy and I thought "well blow this, that's not very... pretty is it? And I know brown's natural but just NO.
So I went into digital photo manipulation mode and came out with this instead. Looks a lot more picturesque I feel. Plus you can pretend the water's a nice colour.

"Turn It Up To 11"28/07/09 A picture of my bass amp, of course this only goes up to 10 but Spinal Tap was such an inspiration is just cool so I stole the quote from the movie that everyone loves and remembers
I took it... because I thought it looked cool. I was trying some stuff out on my phone camera and I was just looking round my room for something I could work with to make a cool shot. Bang! Inspiration. I took a wider shot, I took a couple of angles but I liked this one. So this is the one I used and this is the one that'll be kept forever [or until all servers containing it are obliterated] {And she's ║[closed]║ the book •} --✖

"July Showers"28/07/09
Raindrops on flowers? Sure it's been done before which of my shots haven't? But there's a reason people do it. It works.
So April showers bring May flowers. July showers bring flowers just the same. Showers any time of the year do - you know, due to plants needing water to survive and grow flowers...
It's pretty, it's bright, it's cheerful... It's a flower and there's little more I can say even if I could talk for hours.

"Marquee Sky"10/08/09 So I recently went on this huge international camp, and it was all well and good and I thought I'd be able to take loads of pictures but I didn't. It just didn't happen. I took a couple. This was one of them.
I really like this picture. Again it's really simple, I don't do complex shots with lots of stuff. I like simple compositions [just me right?]
I took this picture sitting outside the Marquee looking over my head at it. And I just thought the bunting and the blue sky looked really nice so I snapped the shot. {And she's ║[closed]║ the book •} --✖

"Start Something Creepy"12/08/09
I absolutely love Start Something. Ok, that's not entirely relevant but I'm just setting the scene of why I'd take a picture of me holding it. The little person on the front is Ian... this is why I don't feature Lostprophets stuff in my photos more often, it makes me go all obsessive fan girl.
Anyway, back on topic, I also love my hair and my hat and I was trying to get a picture including all of that then I went to edit it and noticed the shadow under my eye which I intensified but that then made the whole picture take on a bit of a creepy feel.
