The Soul Society had no warning of what was about to come. As the day slowly passed, the sky grew darker and darker as clouds rolled in from the west. The wind picked up and the air chilled. It seemed as if all wildlife had ceased their normal activities as the threat drew near. To most, it would just seem like bad weather, but to the experienced, they'd have the feeling that something was about to happen.

Aoi sat at her desk, finishing up paperwork for the day. when she felt the clouds, she stood, going to the window in her office, glancing out at the clouds. Normally, she liked rain storms. But this one gave her a sour feeling, not like a usual storm. She frowned, returning to her desk, grabbing her haori and pulling it on, then restrapping Susanoo to her waist.
"What is all this about?" she murmured to herself, wondering if she was simply being paranoid, or if something bad was really on its way.

Kira looked out his open window with dismay. There was a storm brewing outside that came out of nowhere, all sounds of nature dying out to take cover from the potential downpour. This storm had Kira a bit unsettled; where the scent of rain should have appeared, there was only a damn and musty smell. Setting down his pen and getting out of his seat, the Soutaichou grabbed his zanpakuto from its stand, placing it at his side, and exited Ichibantai. He was headed to Juunibantai, he wanted to see what Mikoto thought about the strange storm.

When she saw the Soutaicho walk past the front of her barracks, she shunpoed to the entrance of the Juubantai, exiting. She bowed as she greeted him. "Soutaicho-sama...." she said. "I may be being paranoid, but this storm... It doesn't feel right... There was no prior inclination of it, and Susanoo isn't reacting the way he should..." she trailed off again, trying to see if Susanoo's usual pulses were against her back, but there was none. This storm wasn't giving Susanoo power like storms usually did, and that just made her feel even more uneasy about the dark clouds.

Juunibantai and Ichibantai fukutaichou were already outside Juunibantai talking about the very thing that had Kira worried. Shin was going through a lengthy explanation of what he believed to be the cause while Ryuzaki endured. Science was not his strong point, and almost everything Shin spoke of made no sense.
"Shin, Shin, come on. You know that I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. All I do know is that this is not a natural occurrence." The annoyed Ichibantai fukutaichou said as he tapped his foot impatiently.
"Ryuzaki-san, as odd this phenomenon seems, there is probably a perfectly logical and scientific explanation. You do remember that snow storm last year during the summer months."
"Shin..." Ryuzaki replied with a cross expression. "That snow storm was caused by you..."
"Well it sounds much worse when you put it that way. Regardless..."
"Heeey... you're not responsible for this, are you?"
"Heavens no! Hibiki taichou almost skinned me last year for the snow. I wouldn't do something like this while she is here!"
Ryuzaki could only shake his head at the young fukutaichou standing before him jabbering on and on about clouds and the upper atmosphere. "If I agree with you, will you shut up?"
"Hey! I am being serious. What else could be causing this!?"
"I don't know! Your a**!?"
"Ugh! You are so childish Ryuzaki!"
"Than why are you the one stomping your foot?"
"ARGH!"

Yoshimitsu stood outside of his office. "something doesn't seem right,i feel just as bad as i did back then when i..." he stoped himself there even though he wasn't talking to anyone. "oh well i couldn't care less about this for now, i guess i'll go for a walk to see if i can't get ride of this damn feeling." he said as he started walking, not paying attention to where he was going. he stoped when he saw Soutaichou and the taichou of Juubantai. he didn't walk to them but just stood where he was as if waiting.

Hibiki Mikoto was sitting in her office, filling out paperwork when a gloomy sensation fell upon her. The hell...? she thought as her violet eyes turned toward the open window and gazed at the darkening sky.
"I don't like this," she said aloud as she scooted her chair away from her desk and reached for her haori.
After slipping the jacket on, she walked outside, instantly feeling even more uneasy. Sighing, she proceeded forward where she spotted her fukutaichou and Ichibantai fukutaichou.
Approaching the two young men, she half glared at her own fukutaichou.
"Shin-kun," she began. "This isn't your doing again, is it?"

Oto missed a note as he heard the roar of the thunder. It annoyed him, yet he hoped that it wasn't his fault why it rained. He laid his Erhu on the floor then stood up. Before glancing at the window, he took his zanpaktou first then tied it around his waist. He saw the raindrops dropping rapidly down, the thunder annoyed him, so he wore his headphones. Oto scoffed while he was fixing his black kosode. Walking out of his room, he took the lantern then blew the fire off. Oto then shunpo'd to his fukutaichou.
Oto appeared beside Aoi, his hand resting on his zanpaktou's hilt. "Aoi-taichou..." He spoke, his bright cobalt-blue eyes glanced at her. The strong and cold wind blew his pale-blond tresses and scarf sidewards.

Kira greeted Aoi with a nod, stopping to look pensively at the ever darkening sky. "I was thinking the very same thing, Nakano-taichou..Something about this is troubling.." He thought for a minute, looking back at Yoshimitsu, then to Aoi again. "Whatever the case may be, Hibiki-taichou may be able to shed some light on this." He turned, walking briskly to Juunibantai, hoping that Mikoto would be able to explain.

"Just take care of it! Jeez...not like I havn't stepped out before..." Grumbling, Seto walked out from the infirmary, slamming the doors behind him. Grumbling, he headed off in the direction he felt others' reiatsu coming from. He had noticed the clouds a while ago, but it had taken hours of shouting at his subordinates to take care of his paperwork and the few patients that were in today for him to actually get outside to do anything.
As he kept walking, he kept an eye on the clouds and sighed, trying to calm himself down and rationalize things. "It had best just be a storm or some idiots who got in over their head with their zanpakuto's power..."
"Oh who am I kidding....this is bad..."
Turning a corner, he came across Hibiki and the two fukutaichous. Moving closer, he waved a hand in greeting. "Hello you three! Interesting weather, no?" he asked jokingly. Better to instil a happier mood than just reinforce the unease the clouds were causing.

"It isn't a normal storm..." Nakano murmured as Kira began to walk away. "That I can say for sure." she glanced over her shoulder as Oto appeared, nodding to him. "Nadameru-san. Come, we'll go with Soutaicho-sama. I hope that we can get permission to investigate this odd weather." she said, beginning to stride after Kira, not necesarilly caring whether her lieutenant followed or not. If he chose to, then so be it. If he decided not to, then she'd chide him for disobeying her later. Now wouldn't be the time.
"I don't know what kind of storm this is, Soutaicho-sama... But I do know that I don't like it." she commented as she caught up to Kira. It was a well known fact that the Juubantai taicho loved it when it rained and stormed, as her power nearly doubled. The fact that she seemed unhappy about this storm would have been unsettling to most people.

"It's more troublesome than interesting Natsume-san," Mikoto responded only glancing at the yonbantai taichou. "Storms are depressing and... this one feels... odd..."
The scientist sighed softly as she looked up to the unsteady skies again. One could only hope that this feeling that seemed to have every shinigami in Seireitei shook turned out to be something that really wasn't worth troubling themselves over.

As they walked past him Yoshimitsu fallowed with hopes that someone could tell him what was going on so he could get ride of the feeling he had. " I have to say i agree this storm dose feel odd, more so then any other i can remember." he said looking at his shackles thinking about some of the storm he could hear from the prison

Nodding, Seto brushed his hair out of his eyes and adjusted his haori.
"Mmhm...If something is going to happen though, it hope it happens soon before people really begin to panic or worse..." Putting his hands in his pockets he leaned against a nearby wall and watched the clouds. They were still drawing closer, but still seemed so distant still.
Adjusting his zanpakuto he froned slightly, This is definately going to get worse before it gets better...but that's why we're here...to keep it from getting too bad.

Kira nodded in agreement. "It's strange, Nakano-taichou, that the storm seems to be coming from the wrong direction..It's carrying a heavy feeling with it, as well." Arriving in Juunibantai, the blonde acknowledged all that had gathered. "Hibiki-taichou, I take it that this is not one of your experiments..do you feel something odd about this storm, too?" Hey looked quickly over to Ryuzaki and Shin who had ceased fighting.
