Hyde was wandering again, and for some odd reason this place was tickling the back of his mind. Like a memory of something he just couldn't remember. It made him frown, as his green eyes looked over the area where he was. A small stream laid in front of him, with decent sized trees surrounding the edges like some sort of border.
The male kat walked up to the bubbling brook, and scuff kicked a small stone into the waters. From there he sat down, his tail twitching around his body. He looked up, unable to really tell what time it was in the woods because of the trees blocking the would be light. Instead he guessed it to be around twilight, the time when day retreated and night was not just yet awake.
He sighed. What was he looking for?
~~~
For poor Ashitaka, it had been a rather long and hot day. He found that he didn't so much like this unforgiving heat, and had wanted to escape. Thus, he had spent the day along the edges of the lake. Every once in awhile, dipping into the water and hiding in the shade from the sun.
He was quite happy, to enjoy the slightly colder breezes wafting off the waters. In fact he had brought along a small flute, to help him enjoy the day better. It was twilight now, and since it was cooling off he felt the need to play said flute. He picked it up, put it to his lips, and began to play around with the notes, trying to find the right ones to go with his mood.
~~~
Her favorite meadow!!! Amai had once, twice... alright, too many times to count, she had thrown a party here! But instead of being full of people, it was empty. Rather, very empty. Amai took a deep breath, stood on two feet for a moment and twirled around.
She loved the feeling of her paws on the soft grass, and the smell of the flowers in the air. Those green eyes closed, and she continued to twirl, graceful as ever. Her good mood suddenly bubbled over, and Amai was laughing. The meadow tinkled with laughter as she let her joy fill her. It wasn't hot, it wasn't cold. It was perfect!
~~~
Savvy's father had wanted apples. As to why he had wanted apples at such a random time of day, Savvy didn't know! But what Waka wanted, Waka got. The dark colored kat found himself in the orchard, glaring up at the apples he was supposed to retrieve.
It had been too hot in the day before hand, to go outside and away from things like fans and cold drinks. But now, during twilight, his father had booted him out of the door and told him to go get some food. Probably just wanted out of the house so Waka could mope about his mate some more.
Savvy's... mother. His frown became a little deeper at the sudden thought. His tail twitched around a bit, and he was so into glaring at the apples that he didn't hear anyone else walk into the orchard.
~~~
Arya couldn't wait to explore something new!!! Beyond the lake she had found a set of caves. She was the sort of cat who loved to explore everything and anything. So the blue kat was standing at the edge of the caves, her dark eyes full of excitement.
She heard a rock fall, and skitter from the edge. Arya jumped just slightly, and peered into that direction looking for what had made the noise. And suddenly hoping it was something rather interesting!! Because interesting things were fun!!!

Blush had skipped through the woods to the stream she often visited. She had a little box with her, inside of which she kept small flat pebbles. She liked to bring her pebbles here and lay them in the running water so that they would become washed and shiny. After time, she would add them to a little collection she kept over her kitchen sink. Normally, when she came here, there was no one in sight. Today, however, was different.
When she saw the young man lounging in the shade, a huge but sweel smile spread across her cheeks. She skipped right over to him, her face glowing at the prospect of meeting someone knew, and smiled at him with her oh-so friendly manner.
"Well hello, there! My name's Blush. I've never seen you around here before!"
~~
Mysterious bubbles began floating to the top of the lake. Something was there...under the water. What could it be..what could it be..? And then, with a SPLASH!, Bubbles! jumped out of the water with a high-pitched squeel.
"Music?!" she cried, "Ohhh I looove music!"
She swam to shore with ease, heading toward the sound. She didn't much care where it was coming from, she just wanted to be near it. She hopped out of the water and danced her way in front of the male with the flute.
"Ooohh my, you're a good flute player! Play something fun!"
~~
Eggie wandered into the meadow slowly, his eyes wandering about him. He didn't quite know how he had gotten here...and he didn't quite know where exactly here was...but he was here, that was certain! His eyes stopped on a lovely female twirling in the middle of the meadow. Eggie cocked his head to one side, feeling that something was missing...something complimentary to this. He nodded his head, and suddenly there was golden comfetti raining down from the sky upon the female. Eggie smiled widely and clapped his hands.
"Stars are falling! Stars are falling! Stars are falling for yooouuuu!"
~~
Glenda was a graceful little thing. Her feet barely made a sound as she wandered into the orchard. Though it was nice to be there collecting apples in peace, she missed her children and was sad to have left them at home. She knew that her oldest daughter was very good at caring for them though, and so they were in the best of hands beside her own.
Glenda carried a basket with her, which she plopped the apples into once she'd picked them. She would make Jin's favorite tonight to thank her: baked apples with cinnamon. She hummed to herself as she went about her work, and then stopped when she spotted another fae.
"Oh, hello," she said in her soft voice, "I didn't expect to see anyone here so close to suppertime."
~~
"Woah!" came a male voice from the top of the caves.
Max came tumbling down after the falling rock. He'd tried to lean on the thing without realizing it was loose. Max hit the floor hard with a loud THUD! He rolled onto his back, groaning slightly.
"Damn..." he whispered as he opened his eyes.
When he opened them, he saw the female he suddenly felt even worse.
"Great..." he said, jumping to his feet. His pride was certainly hurt.

His face snapped up as soon as he heard another fae enter the area. He was the sort who picked fights, and rather enjoyed it. After all, he didn't have to feel anything while he was fighting. Instead he concentrated on his oppentent and nothing else.
What he found wasn't a foe, and that much was for certain. She was graceful, and sweet looking. Friendly in a way that made him certain she would get along with his adoptive sister, Oni. A small smirk made it's way onto his face, as he stayed the way he was.
"Hullo Blush, my name is Hyde. I've never been here before, so I guess it fits."
He wasn't trying to be mean, in fact he was being rather friendly. For Hyde at least. Noramlly, even female faes had him ready and on his toes. A female could toss down just as good a fight as a guy. But she... she was dainty? Yes, dainty. Glowing, and soft... and... well, he shifted where he sat. This was rather odd... wasn't it? She was friendly, and normally he hated that in everyone but his family. But with her... it was okay?
~~~
Ashitaka was so startled by the female, that he said nothing at all at first. Then he coughed and a blush spread across his face. A slow sort of smile appeared and he ducked his head to be proper like his mother taught him.
"Of course I will miss... if you give me your name."
He kept on smiling softly, before raising the flute to his lips yet again. He'd pause, waiting for her name. As soon as she said it, or rather said anything, he'd start playing again. Even if she didn't give him her name, Ashitaka would play her a song.
This one was lighter, and happy, full of sweet cascading notes and fun half notes that played at being almost like birds in the trees around them. His pale blue eyes were dancing as he did so. There wasn't anything the purple kat loved more than making people happy with his music.
~~
It was sudden of course, since her eyes had been closed. Someone else was in the meadow with her, and suddenly clapped saying that the stars were falling... for her? Those green eyes landed on a brightly colored male, who was smiling almost from ear to ear. She giggled at his funny words and titled her head to the side.
"Stars? Stars are always falling for me, it's why you don't see them during the day. They come to live with me during the sunlight."
She was of course, talking about her fur. One paw swept at her pattern, indicating what she was talking about. Her green eyes sparkled, she loved being around other fae. Amai was such a social creature, even one other fae could make her entire day.
~~
Savvy looked up, dragged out of his darker thoughts by a sweet voice. He blinked a few times, like someone coming out of a day dream, wondering if he was still gazing into nothing somehow. But the pretty fae wasn't moving, and wasn't some sort of day dream. He stood up, and cleared his throat with a half smile that both he and his father shared.
" 'ello there missie. Moi pa wanted some of these 'ere apples, so he sent me offt to find them."
He spoke about his father, but Savvy wasn't a young fae. He merely had family ties that he wasn't ashamed of. He stood up and winked at her, every bit as lively as normal.
"Would you like some help? Oi wouldn't mind helping yee, if yee'd help me pick some more apples. Oi promise to do the carrying missie."
His acccent may have been a little odd to here, but he was smiling as he spoke. It was because he grew up abroad, away from the fae around these parts that he spoke in such an odd lit.
~~
Arya managed to step out of the way just in time for another fae to fall where she had been! What a close call! The guy jumped to his feet, apparently none the worse for wear. Arya was slightly startled, but smiling at him all the same.
"Hello there! Are you on an adventure as well?!"
Well, wasn't she cheerful? He seemed okay enough, jumping up like that, so Arya didn't ask if he was okay. Surely, he'd be able to tell if he was hurt and say something about it like a sensible fae! But that didn't seem to be the case, so who cared? She was meeting someone new; maybe even a new friend!
"Oh! Well, it's so nice to meet you, Hyde!"
She giggled to herself, excited at having found someone to keep her company.
"Are you busy? I was just about to wash my stones in the stream there. Some of them are ready for display. Do you like polished stones?"
Blush reached into her box and pulled one of her nearly completed pebbles out. It was a deep red in color with a black marble-like pattern to it. It was very lovely.
"They come out so pretty, don't they. Would you like to help?"
~~
"My name's Bubbles!!" Bubbles! said enthusiastically, and as soon as she'd said it she was happy to find that he'd kept his promise.
With joy in her step, Bubbles! danced around the little space to the tune...or at least sort of. She was graceful, yes, but she also danced to tunes that fell into her head and so didn't match up perfectly with the sound coming from the flute. She danced and danced, and then suddenly she stopped.
"Hey wait!" she said, "I almost forgot! What's your name, hmmm?"
She inclined her body toward him as she asked the question.
~~
Eggie gasped dramatically, "They come to live with you?! Really?? Truly??"
He was shocked! Stunned! Amazed! He had to know more! In almost an instant, he was at her side, studying her pretty markings.
"They live on you! That's amazing! You're a fallen star! Ohhh Fallen Star, let me make a wish upon you!"
Eggie knelt down before her then, and the falling confetti stopped.
"Star Light, Star Bright, First star I see to-- er-- day...I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight!"
And with that, Eggie closed his eyes real tight, apparently concetrating on his wish.
~~
Glenda was intrigued by the Fae's accent, if not a little charmed. She smiled at him and nodded her head once.
"I would like that, very much."
She handed him her basket, which she had to admit was getting a little heavy for her small paws, and began plucking apples from a nearby tree. She was sure to place the same amount in both her basket and his.
"I'm Glenda, by the way, and you are..?"
~~
"Pfft! Of course I am! What'ya think?? I'm a PokeTrainer afterall, and a damn good one at that! How bout you? You look like you're out on some kinda quest too."
He looked her overy once. She was obviously a trainer like he was...ugh...girl trainers. Max was one of those boys who figured girls really couldn't be PokeMasters, so he never paid them much attention.
She giggled, and he smiled a bit. His shoulders snapped straighter, and he stood up to walk over to where she was. Polished stones? All sorts of faes had different hobbies. His was getting into fights. Fez had loved candy. Oni loved to bake. Ashitaka loved to play music. Waka loved sports, or rather had loved sports. And Savvy, well, he liked to sail, and sing bad songs.
Hobbies. Everyone had them. Polished stone collecting didn't seem that weird in the mix of his family's random household. He smiled and siddled up to where she was standing. Close enough to nod and pulled a stone out of the box to help.
"I think I'd love to help."
~~
She was dancing. Dancing like a spark was in her heart, like the song was in her blood. Not really his song apparently, but a song indeed. It was a good thing, her dancing around like this. Ashitaka was smiling as he pulled the flute from his lips to answer her question.
"My name Miss Bubbles! is Ashitaka."
Ashitaka son of Kokoro and Oni. The purple kat looked up into her face and smiled. She was pretty, and full of love for life. Ashitaka rather liked that, it was a very endearing trait.
"Do you want me to play you another song Miss?"
~~
The male kat came forward, gasping about the stars on her fur. She giggled as he dropped to his knees to make a wish on her; the fallen star. She kept on giggling, she couldn't help herself. He even closed his eyes to make his wish. Amai couldn't help herself.
"If you tell me your wish sir, I just might be able to grant it."
She had leaned over to whisper it in his ear. The orange haired kat stood back up, her eyes still twinkling. This was a rather interesting day, wasn't it?
~~
Savvy took the basket, taking it with ease from the smaller fae. He'd be able to carry both, stacked. The dark fae chuckled and followed her, never straying away.
"Me name? Oi'm Savvy. Weird sort of name that it is Missie. But moi Pa did name me that. I wonder wut he was thinking, naming me Savvy and moi sis Parlay. Glenda's such a pretty name Missie. Oi think it suits ye well."
He was in a much better mood then he had been, while by himself. Savvy never liked to be alone, for that very reason. Too many thoughts about his sister, and his mother. Wondering what had happened, and where they had gone. And what it had done to his father as the aftermath.
~~
She looked at him, wondering why he was so... aggresive? Well, everyone was different, right? The girl tilted her head and her oddly colored tail twitched just a bit. The smile had never vanished from her face during his talking, or when he looked her over.
"I love exploring. So I was thinking about exploring these caves here!!!"
Without another word she walked into the caves, still smiling. It was darker, so she pulled a flashlight out of her bag to be able to see better into the darkness.
"Do you want to explore together?"
"That's great!" she said, and she grabbed his arms gently to lead him to the stream.
"It's pretty easy, takes no work at all, really! This is all you do."
Blush knelt beside the stream and set the box down beside her, open. She took a small handful of stones and began laying them in the most shallow part of the stream. Here, they would be submerged but weren't likely to be washed away. She lined the up beside eachother.
"Just like that."
And she took another handful and lined up a few more.
~~
"It's nice to meet you!" Bubbles! chimed as she skipped over to sit beside him, "Hmm no, I think we should find something else to do, Ashitaka! Ohh I know! It's soooo warm out today. How about some ice cream??"
Her head tilted to one side as she made the suggestion. She was obviously a wee bit ditzy, and so her attention span was short. The only time she really ever stuck to something was when she was in battle. It was obvious by her deadly-looking armbands (which served her as weapons) that she was one of Faetasia's soldiers. Lucky for him, she worked for the good side.
~~
Eggie's eyes opened very slowly. They seemed different somehow as he looked up at the young lady. That crazed child-like gleam in them was gone, and had been replaced by a very calm, sultry look. He smiled at her in a rather debonair fashion and took her hand in his as he rose to his feet.
"Ah..but my dear, if you reveal your wishes they will never come true."
You see, Eggie had an odd sort of split personality condition. Often, he was the odd crazy little thing that had skipped into the meadow. But sometimes, he was a very handsome, very polite, very charming man who could really charm the ladies. He smiled at her, looking over her fur again.
"Though who could really wish for anything more than to be graced by your beauty..?"
~~
"Ohh...well that's very sweet of you," she said, a small hint of red overtaking the silver of her cheeks.
"It's a shame you have to get these apples back to your father. I would have loved to invite you over. I'll be baking these apples for dinner! They make a wonderful treat. Though...perhaps if you did join me and my family, I could bake yours as well for you to take as a treat for your own family."
She looked up at the gentleman. She was hopeful, for certain. With so many children, it had been a long time since Glenda had had a young man to accompany herself with.
~~
Well, he couldn't very well let this girl seem more adventurous than he was, so he followed her in, "Sure, I'll come with ya! Wouldn't want ya to be scared, all alone in here."
He grinned at her, reaching into the pack he always kept to pull out a flashlight.
She tugged on his arms, and Hyde felt very compelled to follow her. Blush began to pull stones out of the box, and line them neatly along in the river. He picked a few out of the box that caught his eye. A bright green stone, a few amber looking ones, and finally a dark color that he couldn't put his finger on exactly.
Following her example, he lined them carefully in the most shallow part of the stream. Normally, he would have huffed off and told her to take a dip in the stream head first. Why was he so calm?
"Do you come here often, polishing your stones?"
~~
Ashitaka smiled as she made the suggestion of ice cream. The male kat stood, and nodded. He tucked the flute under his elbow and offered his free paw to where Bubbles! sat.
"I think that would be a lovely idea. Ice cream is the very thing we need to cool off."
Whether she took his paw was up to her. If she did, he would help her stand and they would be on their way to finding ice cream. If not, he wouldn't make any comment and just let the limb fall where it may.
"I think there was a small shop nearby."
~~
Amai had been smiling, waiting for an answer. Waiting to find out what his wish was. However, as he stood and smiled, her eyes registered her shock at his sudden change in nature. He was sudden a very different creature indeed!!!
She blushed, because Amai couldn't help that part. However, to help her recover from the sudden feeling of being well... a young kat again, she tilted her head back and laughed warmly.
"Quite the charmer sir. I do believe I should have your name, to always remember who it was keeping their wishes from the stars."
~~
Baked apples did she say? Why, baked apples would be better... and his father would forgive him if he came home with them already baked. Less work for his dad, at least.
"Now there sounds like a right idea! It's just me and moi Pa back at home. Oi don't know nuthin about cooking, and neither does he! We're always makin' a roight mess o' things back home."
He chuckled, smiling down at the pretty fae. No blush creeped upon his face, but he had caught the one on hers. But she had invited him back to meet her family and have baked apples.
"Oi would luv to come over Miss Glenda."
~~
"Scared? I'm never scared! I love to explore, it's the best thing ever!!"
She was marching along, trying to figure out where to go next even as she plodded along her path. After the caves, what then? What else could she explore?!? Well, maybe the caves would have something interesting at the end of the tunnel!
"You sure you don't get scared? I'll hold your hand, promise!"
She was half teasing, and half serious. If he was scared, she'd help him out!
"Once a week!" she said as she layed the final stone, "There, now we let them set for a while. An hour usually does it. I like to sit under that big tree over there to wait it out. Come one!"
Blush leapt to her feet and skipped over the the tree she had been talking about. She plopped down in an indian-style position and waiting for him to join her.
"That's how I knew you hadn't been here before. I would have seen you at least once!"
~~
Bubbles! reached up and took his paw enthusiastically. She used it to spring herself to her feet, and then dusted herself off.
"Awesome! Then you can lead the way!"
Bubbles! really liked sweets, so she was more than a little excited.
~~
"My name is Eggie," he said, nodding his head to her.
Eggie reached his paw out to her, hoping she would allow him to take hers. His eyes never left hers and his smile remained warm.
"And you, sweet Fallen Star? What is your true name?"
~~
"Oh! Well that is good news then. I think we have more than enough apples, come on and I'll show you the way!"
Glenda reached her paw out to take her baset back. She couldn't let him carry both his and her apples all the way.
~~
"What?? I don't get scared!" Max nearly growled the words out.
He huffed and hurried his pace, deciding to get ahead of her so that she was left in the dark. Of course, he would keep her in earshot so she didn't get lost, but he did want to see if she'd get worried being in the darkness like that.
Hyde was already making a mental note that the smaller female came here once a week. There were other details that he would have to ask, but he found himself already planning to be here when she was. It startled him, this odd feeling.
He followed her to where she was sitting, under the big tree. He sat with his back on the bark of the tree, green eyes on Blush. He smiled softly at her.
"Do you come every week at the same time? Or would I have to randomly show up a lot to find you again?"
~~
Ashitaka found that he didn't have to help her to her feet at all. She sprung up quickly. There was no need for him to guess that in a fight, she would be the winner. He chuckled and began to lead the way.
"It's a small walk, so it shouldn't take us too long. What's your favorite ice cream?"
It was a good thing to know. After all, they were about to go get said ice cream. He believed in being a gentleman completely, as his dear mother had taught him to be. There wasn't a bad bone in his body, to be honest. He'd never do anything except be a gentleman, on purpose.
~~
Amai kept up the blush, it just went go away. What was she, a teenager?!? He took her paw in his hand and smiled some more. It was giving her flutters in her stomach, where there had been giggles in her throat.
"Well, Eggie. My name is Amai."
Her eyes were twinkling as she smiled at him. She hadn't felt this way since... well, she couldn't remember. Every time Amai had a train of thought like that, it seemingly slipped away.
~~
Savvy smirked at her, a half crooked smile that added a glint in his eyes. He held onto both baskets, even when she reached out for hers. That was not in the fine print, and it was not going to be happening.
"Oh no yee dinna. Oi am carrin' these here baskets. Yee save yer paws for all that bakin Oi can not do. Tis a harder task then mine."
He chuckled at her, and nodded to let her know that she should lead the way. Savvy was having fun with this. He was enjoying spending time with this fae. It was... nice.
~~
He stomped ahead, and she giggled while shaking her head. Boys could get so silly!!! She continued on the pace she had already set, her own flash light darting around in the darkness so she wouldn't trip.
"I was just wondering if that's why you were hanging out at the entrance of the cave is all. Waiting for someone else to come by. Adventuring is always better with more people to enjoy it with!!"
"To find me again?" Blush giggled at the fact that such a thought had even crossed his mind, it flattered her, "Yes, I come the same day each week, usually as early as I can get out of the house."
Blush leaned back against the tree, sighing contently as she closed her eyes.
"This is my favorite place to be. It's so very peaceful!"
~~
"Ohhh, deffinitely Tutti Frutti! It's so colorful and pretty, oh and yummy!"
With every word, Bubbles! seemed to add a little hop to her step. She was obviously not one to sit still for a moment.
"What about you? What's your favorite??"
~~
"Amai..." Eggie allowed the name to roll off his tongue, "So lovely, like..."
His face twitched.
"like..."
He was ready to say something beautiful, but his face twitched again, and suddenly, his eyes changed...
"like...WHAT?! Amai?! No! You are Fallen Star! Your name is Fallen Star! If it's anything else, my wish won't come true!"
Eggie smiled at her in a silly way and began to hop in circles around her. He had switched back.
~~
Glenda smiled at him. She'd forgotten what nice company a true gentleman was.
"Well...if you insist," she said somewhat sheepishly, "Follow me, Savvy."
Glenda turned and began walking away from the orchard and into the woods.
"It isn't very far...er...but I must warn you, I have many children at home..."
She bit her lip, hoping this wouldn't scare the nice man off.
~~
Max sighed to himself. She was right. Adventuring was more fun with more people. He sighed to himself and slowed down, waiting for him to catch up.
"Look...I'm not so big on girl poketrainers," he shuddered dramatically, and then gave her a lopsided grin, "but I guess we could try to be friends. What are your favorite kinds of adventures?"
[font=red] Hyde shifted slightly, not sure what to do. He rubbed his back along the bark of the tree for a moment, lick his lips, shifted his weight, but his green eyes never left her.
"I never spend too much time in one area. Feels weird to me. My sister had me staying a few weeks with her, but nothing ever feels like home."
Nothing ever did. Hyde had to wonder if anything ever would. Maybe, one day. And he hoped that he never ended up like Oni or Waka. He wasn't strong like Oni, and Hyde would probably end up worse than Waka.
~~
Tutti Frutti? Ashitaka had never had that type of ice cream before. She was full of life, and enjoying every moment. It made Ashitaka rather happy to be in her company.
"I rather like strawberry. Plain, isn't it?"
He chuckled sheepishly, laughing as he did so. The store came into view as they continued to walk along. They weren't that far away.
~~
Her heart fluttered again as he spoke her name. She kept on smiling even as his face twitched and he was back the way he use to be. She laughed again, and stepped away to twirl. He was shifting back and forth between the two personas. Which one was the real kat before her?
"Well Eggie, then Fallen Star I am. Though of course, you may call me Star."
She laughed again, and twirled around a few more times until she felt very dizzy. She flopped onto the grass, still giggling while her green eyes closed.
"I feel so dizzy!!!"
~~
Children. Now, as Savvy was a male and single at that, who thought of children as a far away adventure he would meet some day, children was a word that made him almost miss a step. He hadn't thought... many? Oh goodness.
"Are you sure we have enough apples? Or should we get more?"
At least he wasn't getting hung up about it or anything. Just moving on with life, though he paused in carrying so they wouldn't be beyond the trees just yet. Just in case they decided they needed more for more mouths.
~~
The guy slowed down so she could catch up. The rather blue kat walked forward until she was caught up. From there they would be together, and the adventure would be more fun!
"Why not? Do girl poketrainers annoy you or something?"
It was weird to her. But of course, she was a girl poketrainer!!!
"I like adventures that let me make new friends, and go to different places then I've seen before!"
"So you're a wanderer?" she asked, rather interested, "That seems like a very exciting life."
Blush smiled, picturing herself as a rogue among deerkin. She could see the world!
~~
"No, not plain at all! Especially ig you get those little chunks of strawberry in it! Mmmm yummy!"
She giggled, remembering the sweet taste of it in her mouth. Her excitement grew when the icecream shop came into view.
"I see it! There it is!" she shouted, hopping circles around Ashitaka.
~~
"Star. Good Name!"
Eggie watched her twirl and twirl, and then eventually flop down. It made him erupt with laughter.
"That looks like fun!"
And of course, he copied her movements, flopping down right beside her in the grass, but he allowed himself to fall back more and lay in the grass, looking up at the sky.
"Ooohh! Look at the clouds! What do they look like?"
~~
"Ohh, yes, we have quite enough. I have a few back home as well."
She smiled at him. She was so relieved he hadn't changed his mind! Many young single faes didn't like the company of a lady and her children.
She motioned for him to keep on, and led him into the woods.
~~
Max shrugged. In all honesty, he was the type who figured boys were just better than girls, but he knew better than to say that aloud.
"Yeah those are good adventures I guess...my favorite are the scary adventures! Haunted places and all that. I'm sort of an expert on ghosts. I hope there are some in these caves!"
A wanderer, yes, that seemed about right. Hyde smiled just slightly, and finally his gaze feel from her to the ground.
"It can be exciting, but then... it's kind of lonely."
Wasn't gunna beat around the bush with that, now was he? But that wasn't Hyde's style in the least bit. He was blunt and honest, all the way through.
~~~
She was jumping all around, having fun. Fun was something rare at his house since... since his father had left. Ashitaka let out a low chuckle and opened the door to the ice cream shop for her, waiting for her to step through before following.
"I suppose when you put it that way, it's not plain at all."
~~~
He followed her into the woods. It was an interesting thought, the fae before him had children. Not one child, which might match her apparent age, but children. As in, more than one. And from the way she talked there were several.
But that was fine. No big deal. He had been around children, he really hadn't been around children since he had been a child. That was simple enough, right? Just make them laugh, not cry?
"That's good then. Da'll kick my arse if he didn't get a couple."
Savvy chuckled, still grinning from ear to ear.
~~~
"An expert on ghosts?" It sounded like something interesting to her. It sounded like something scary as well! Arya peered into the darkness, as if looking for the ghosts and scary things he had hinted at.
"How did you become an expert at that?"

"Hmm...I suppose I could imagein it would get lonely..."
Her eyes wandered out to the river, which was sparkling in the afternoon sun.
"Oh!" she exclaimed, "Come, on I think they should be ready!"
Blush hurried over to the water's edge with her tin and began gently picking the rocks out of the river. As she placed them in the tin, it was clear that some of them were shined to perfection. Some of the others would need an other dip an other day.~~ Bubbles skipped into the ice cream shop, a huge smile on her face. Immediately, she ran up to the window over the flavors and began looking at them.
"Ohh... there are so many flavors! But I already know what I want."
She was eyeing that blue and pink swirled tutti-frutti.~~ ((I didn't see a reply for Eggie)) Quote: "Star. Good Name!" Eggie watched her twirl and twirl, and then eventually flop down. It made him erupt with laughter. "That looks like fun!" And of course, he copied her movements, flopping down right beside her in the grass, but he allowed himself to fall back more and lay in the grass, looking up at the sky. "Ooohh! Look at the clouds! What do they look like?" ~~ Glenda giggled softly at his remark. She found his accent extremely cute. Her eyes looked ahead though, toward home. It wasn't a long walk before the sounds of home came into earshot. There was a loud crash, and then someone yelled, " Yuki! No! Don't set your sister on fire!" A frown spread over Glenda's face, " Err...you may have to excuse the children at first. You see, they're all adopted, and they don't always get along..." When they finally approached the house, Jin was in the front yard, soaking Jolie's scorched tail in a basin of water. Wine was fluttering over head, overseeing this with a worried expression, and Yuki (who was the culprit) was sulking behind the fence. At first sight of Glenda, they all cried in unison, " MOM!" ~~ "Well, I saw one once! When I was still just a little kid. It was floating out in the woods! After that, I started learning all about them, as much as I could. Most of them really don't want to hurt you or anything...they're just stuck...wandering..."
His voice tailed off, and then with a grin, he lunged at her.
"BOO!"
