Writing is a part of life! It's what keeps things interesting! Post your poems, stories, and other such in topics and watch people admire them!

Remember, follow the Gaia TOS, don't critisize just to be mean, and no swearing or sex in your stories! Keep it PG13!

Thank you and have fun! biggrin

Hm, is there any way that you can limit it? Maybe even change word?

Luckily I write nerdy Star Wars stories, so swearing won't be an issue for me because the nasty ones don't exist in Star Wars, or at least you won't recognize them lol. As for the sex...Hmm, what about if at a part it just says, (Insert Sex Scene Here)? I don't think I have any stories where there is actually a sex scene, maybe one or two that are inferred, but just in case.

No sex or swearing? Ah, you're no fun. Well, I'm not sharing any of my stories then. I don't qualify.

I wrote this when I was kinda bored and listening to music. So..yeah. Oh, and first ACTUAL RELEVANT post

People are so naive nowadays and can't see,
The beauty in others like you and me.

They only see what's on the outside.
Physical deformities and trails made by all the tears cried.

Once marked as ugly, nobody gets a second glance.
Only visual manipulations get us a second chance,

To be accepted as a shell with no emotions or personality.
They can't see inside us, they can't see our reality.

We all need to find our true selves.
Figure out who's truly beautiful and who's just a shell.

Screaming out who you are will show who your friends are truly.
The best ones will see and show true beauty.

They will love you for who and what you are.
They will see your potential will take you far.

Keep them close to your heart and help them succeed.
Help them to set their inner beauty free.

...and this one was written around the time when MJ passed. I saw NOTHING about the war for a while, but saw plenty of Farrah Fawcet and MJ..sry if i misspelle FFs name

Sitting by the fire on a cold winter night,
Shadows play and dance with the light.
Coexistence between the two never seems right.
No segregation between them though they always fight.

No peace for the two, desstined to battle for control.
The war between the two is millenias old.
Never shall we see either side fold.
Both hold strong and stand courageous and bold.
Age old war heroes get lost in time and history.
Few stories remain of their triumphs and victory.
Now in the afterlife, they surely weep in misery.
For their tales shall now be shrouded in mystery.

In this age we worship those with fame, power, and money.
None deserve it and I find it funny,
So many lives lost in war to the running and gunning.
Few are remembered unless they're a celebrity.

This world is becoming more corrupt every day.
We push our friends and family away.
We don't care who we hurt or watch what we say.
Repent is way overdue and it's time to pay...

First actual relevant post? Isn't the thread meant for comments about the subforum, making it so everything you just wrote would be better placed in a thread all it's own inside the subforum?

Alus, I just wanted to make sure my writing is allowed. Because with swearing and sex not allowed, I was just wondering what the threshhold is of Idealogically sensitive.

Well, I guess you can refer that they have sex, but no details beyond that.

Haha, that's too bad.

Remember, it has to follow the TOS and I'm pretty sure that no swearing and sexual content is part of it (correct me if I'm wrong). The site is meant for 13 or older, but there are younger people who get an account anyways and I will not be responsible for exposing explicit content that isn't even of my doing.

So no swearing or sex, but you can reference to it like 'Jack swore in digust' and such.

Technically, they're (^) correct. Any poems you have, you make into a topic in the ~Wrting~ subforum titling that it's your poetry. It's not really supposed to go in the Rules topic of it.

Is swearing really against the ToS?

I think it's a form of abusive words. A person I know got reported for doing it by a couple of gaians. Hence a lot of people use *'s instead, but I think that's more or less the same thing in my opinion.
