 Story
Black clouds covered the silvery full moon. Therefore encasing the sky in darkness. Thunder rumbled, indicating that a storm was coming.
Below this storm, a jet-black stone castle stood tall on a rocky cliff. Sapphire ocean waves lapped at the edge of the cliff.
In the distance, white mountains could be seen. These mountains are located in a place known as the Barren Zone. In the Barren Zone, it always snows, even in the summer. But here, where this demonic castle lies, it never snows.
Lines of savanna grass surrounded the castle, their golden blades whipping in the ferocious wind. It seldom rained here, leaving the grass yellow and brown. This savanna grass is just outside of the ramparts, guarding the castle from unexpected and unwanted visitors.
A grim, gray stone path lead the way up to the castle doors. Lying in front of the doors was a wooden bridge and below it, dark water. Glowing yellow eyes peered up to the surface.
The castle had three towers, each one taller than the other. One of the towers, the tallest one, had a half oval shaped window, barricaded by prison bars. A bright light shone through the window.
Inside the castle, smooth stone tile was laid out across the floor. The walls looked the same as they did on the outside of the castle. Bubbling could be heard from a black cauldron in the middle of the room. A torch settled in a holster, lighting the room with it’s bright fire.
But one part of the room stayed concealed in darkness. A crimson throne sat there with a dark figure resting in it. A grin appeared on his face. “I believe the potion has sat long enough.” His deep voice rumbled. “Time to continue working on it.”
With that, he stepped out into the light. His blood-red cape dragged on the floor as he walked across the room, a gait to his step. The cape’s hood blocked out what he truly was.
He made his way to the cauldron and glanced over at a book sitting on a large table. “Bat’s wing.” He mumbled and dropped the small black wing in. The cauldron responded by bubbling more viciously and then dying down.
“Hmm. According to the potion book, the last ingredient to the Potion of Eternal Slumber is the Blood Berries from the Forest of Shadows,” he read. Turning away from his book, he called into the darkness. “Protabador!”
A large, black, wolf-like creature indolently made his way to his master.
“Yes, Blood Lord?” He grumbled. The Blood Lord got slightly irritated by the laziness in his voice, but he decided to ignore it for now.
“Go to the Forest Of Shadows and fetch me some Blood Berries.” He ordered and pointed to a thick wood, flooded with menacing pine trees that scratched at the sky.
Protabador nodded, slightly more interested now. “Yes, Master.” As he turned to leave, the Blood Lord’s voice sounded behind him.
“Remember,” he warned, “pick the berries by the stems, they’re highly poisonous.” Protabador acknowledged his warning with a nod and then took off towards the Forest Of Shadows.
The Blood Lord watched his loyal servant-and pet-leave, that grin remained on his face. He sat back down on his throne, a power-hungry gleam appeared in his eyes. “Soon...” He stated. "Soon I will complete the Potion of Eternal Slumber. I have tried for a thousand years now to obtain the power I so richly deserve. This time I will achieve it.” He stared into space as if remembering the past. “Those children will not stop me. I’ll make sure of that…” That malevolent sneer of his blossomed on his shrouded face again “When I poison the chosen ones, no one will be able to stop me!” His thunderous voice transformed into a menacing laugh that echoed throughout the castle.

Elie stood in a snow laden clearing. Snow topped trees surrounding her in all directions. She had no memory of how she got here, just remembered that she had gone to sleep. This must be a dream... But it was one weird dream. She never really had any abstract dreams, they were all realistic and had a meaning. Her mother had told her that she was a dream interpreter. So she kept a dream journal by her bed to write down her dream, and always remembered every detail. So I must be here for a reason...
As if answering to her thoughts, she sensed a presence near. Gasping, she spun around to see a large arctic wolf with stunning blue eyes standing before her. Elie froze, her blue eyes meeting the wolf's. But the she-wolf was calm, not vicious. Greetings Elie. The thought seemed to come from the wolf.
You are telepathic?! Elie wondered i shock.
Only with you. The wolf answered. I am Yuki, your spirit guide.
Elie blinked. But Elie is the name of my dog...
I am your dog... In her superior form. Yuki answered.
Well why are you coming to me in a dream? Elie asked.
Yuki sighed, her breath turning into frost. Unfortunately, this isn't a friendly chat... I have come to warn you about an upcoming danger.
Elie blinked. What danger?
You are one of the chosen ones Elinor dear. You and some others are destined to save the world and destroy the Blood Lord once and for all. But he is after you all. Creating a poison that will sentence you to an eternal sleep.
Elie froze. I'm a chosen one?! I knew I had powers but I didn't kno I was meant to do with them... I-I don't know what to do. Will you help me?
Yuki smiled lightly. Yes. I will always be there to help you. But heed my words and be careful of who you trust. Her voice faded away and then Elie was plunged into darkness.
Elie opened her eyes to the bright rays of the sun peering into the room. Her alarm clock was going off. Reaching over, she turned it off and sat up. She yawned, stretched and rubbed her eyes. Instantly, she grabbed her dream journal and wrote down her dream. Looking down, she saw her sleeping Alaskan Malamute Yuki. She thought back to the dream. Was that real? Sighing, she got ready for school. As a 15 year old girl, she had to go to school.
She got dressed, ate, brushed her teeth and hair, and put her blue hoody on. Slinging her backpack over her back, she called farewell to her mom and opened the door to step outside. A whine made her look over her shoulder to see Yuki standing behind her, her blue eyes narrowed worriedly. Elie turned around and pet Yuki on the head. "I'll see you when I get home." She said and smiled, walking outside, closing the door behind her. She caught the bus and sat on a bench, waiting for the bell to ring, phasing out into her own world.

Blinded by the sun, Xander fell to his hands and knees once he reached the top of a sand dune. He looked about only to find a large beast of blue. He took a second look and realized what it was.
Don't be afraid Alexander, it seemed to whisper into his mind, I'm not going to hurt you.
Tali. Xander thought closing his eyes.
Yes young one, it is I. The voice continued, Open your eyes and look to the east and tell me what you see.
Opening his eyes, he stood and looked off into the distance, seeing a large sand storm heading their way.
Xander, you can do such powerful things like creating a storm like that, and in the future, you will have to.
Why? He asked.
There is a a bad man who will end you and the others whom belong to the Chosen. You are just one of few who can stop this horrible man, but be warned, there is a posion that he has is very dangerous, so be cautious at all times. The dragon looked to the east. Rest your mind and wake to a new day, and in time, we shall meet again.
Xander had fallen into a deep slumber after the odd dream ended, only to wake awhile later. The sun blinded him as he opened his eyes, but heard a hissing and felt something scaled slither across him. "Morning Tali." He said and yawned before picking up the female snake and draped her over his shoulders as he sat up. He looked at the time and groaned softly. "I'll get ya some breakfast before hopping in the shower." He said to Tali and kissed the top of the snake's head. It didn't take him too long to prepare for school, but he put Tali in his shirt, the snake wrapping itself around his abdomen before Xander pulled on a jacket to help hide Tali. He'd been held back a year since he didn't have enough credits to graduate. He rushed out to the bus and almost missed it. It didn't take long for him to reach the school and rush into his class where he took his seat in the back and played with Tali abit, hoping he wouldn't get caught.

The moon rose high over the city on a cool summer’s night. Raven was running down the street panting hard as she turned the corner. She stopped for a brief second to see if the thing was still following her. She slow peaked her head around the corner and saw the huge shadow still in hot pursuit. She bolted from the spot running down an alley it another attempt to lose the thing. She rounded another corner only to face a dead end. Quickly she turned around to try and run back but it was no use. The shadow was standing behind her, red eyes burning. Raven fell to the floor, tears running down her cheek.
Suddenly there was a roar and a huge black bear come up behind the beast and swiped it against the wall. The shadow fluttered for a moment before disappearing into the night sky. Raven stared at the bear, not sure if she should move or not. Her legs told her to run but her heart told her the truth.
"Ferra?" she asked almost not believing what her heart told her.
"Yes Raven. It's me." She said getting back down on all fours. "I come with a warning. There is a wicked man who has a dark purpose. He is known as the Blood Lord and he is planning on killing you and a few others."
Raven shook her head and said, "Why does he want me? I'm nothing special."
Ferra moved closer and replied, "Because you are one of the chosen. You have been tasked with the safe-guarding of the world. But do not fear my child. I shall be with you always."
Raven awoke with a start as her alarm buzzed in her ear. She rubbed her eyes and shut off her alarm. Raven then put her feet on the floor and cracked her neck. "What a dream." she said shaking her head. She looked over at Ferra still curled up on her desk next to her bed. She smiled at the little pet and walked to her shower to get ready for school.
After she showered and got dressed, Raven got her bag and her deck of playing cards and went downstairs. She grabbed an apple before hugging her foster parents and yet off to school. When she got to school she went straight to her first hour and sat down towards the back. She reached into her bag to get out her text book, but found Ferra nestled at the bottom of the bag. "Not again." She thought to herself. Raven got here book out and laid it on her desk along with her playing cards. She shushed Ferra and told her to be quiet and started playing solitaire.

Elie walked into her class and sat in the seat next to Alexander, which was next to a window. She sighed and stared out the window. All of a sudden a face peered in. She almost jumped out of her seat in shock but then recognized the face. Yuki stared in at her, her blue eyes keeping an eye on her. How strange... Her dog never followed her to school.

Xander looked at the girl whom took a seat next to him and nearly yelped as he felt fangs sink into his hand. He looked at Tali who pulled her fangs out of his hand and looked towards the girl next to him. He stared at Tali, unsure of what the snake was trying to tell him. "What?" He whispered to his pet, hoping to get an answer.

Raven dropped her card when she noticed the girl by the window jump a little bit. She wondered what made her jump as she bent down to get the card. As she got the card she looked over to her bag to see Ferra stairing in the direction of the girl. "Get back in the bag" she wispered to Ferra pushing her head back into the bag. She sat back up and contiuned her game.

Elie turned back around and saw a boy and a girl glance at her and pets staring at her. All of a sudden her dog started growling viciously and crashed through the window. Elie screamed and jumped out of her seat, spinning around. Yuki had jumped through the window and was now inside the classroom. Blood was staining her snow white pelt but she payed no mind to herself. She just stood there snarling, her eyes glaring at some unseen force. Elie followed Yuki's gaze and gasped. Everyone in the classroom except for her, the two students she saw glance at her and their pets were frozen in time.

As the dog jumped through the window, Xander cried out in surprise and fell back in his chair, smacking his head upon the floor, causing it to bleed alittle. His vision blurred for a moment before it cleared. He got to his feet and touched the back of his head, wincing abit. He looked around the class and noticed the two girls and the animals were the only ones moving while the rest remained frozen. "W-What's going on?" He asked. Tali slithered up his leg, wrapping himself around his limb.
