I think the guild needs a place where people can discuss their favorite guitar players, bands and etc... I've noticed a lot of smaller threads being created talking about one or two bands each, and they're getting more common. Any opinions on this? (and logical opinions are what matters. I need backed opinions or examples)

Well sometime in the future there will be an option to create subforums in the guilds, so we can create a different sub-forum JUST for that. However even if they do do that in the near future, we cant do anything about it until Labyrinth gets back on here.

We need more members for subforums, but let's be somewhat selective on the members. Maybe there should be a level requirement.

A subforum is just that, a SUB forum. Everyone in the guild would have access to it, right? Either way I don't think we should exclude anyone from a guitar-hero related subforum, because anyone we allow in the guild itself has common sense enough for intelligent comversation. Thats why we moderate the requests.

Well, suffice to say it really doesn't matter much if LS isn't here to create a sub-forum. The last I saw of him he made myself and some others into moderators of this guild...
Maybe to start a regular thread that's based on guitar heroes would work. Should someone post a new topic about their favorite guitar hero or something like that the moderators would have to step in, redirect the thread/poster and casually delete that thread.
it's the simple option, there are more.

I think probably one of the greatest guitar heores of all time is Van Halen, mainly because I have been a fan of him for almost all my life, but Michaelangelo Batio is like the 8th world wonder.

I agree with that. I love both EVH and MAB. After going on Michael Angelo's site and listening to some of the songs I found out all he uses to record is a drum machine, no bass, and his own guitar XD

I'm Rhoad's younger bro. My fav. guitarist is Randy Rhoads, but if I were to put one here, I'd put Yngwie Malmsteen.

Well, as long as this is becoming the idea. My guitar hero remains Larry LaLonde. He's very underestimated, and unheard of amongst many guitarists I talk to. But his solos are amazing, not always the most complex in the world. But his flow, and soul makes me wish I understood guitar like he does. Also his style of playing his guitar is flawless, I've never seen him make a mistake or mis-nail a chord. Absolutely every guitar line he's made, and recorded makes me jealous all over when I hear it.

Sounds good to me. Can mods sticky/some equivalent? That would work. I know what you're saying, though. We hear a lot about Vai on these forums, it seems.

However, the mojority of his music that I've heard is from his playing with Primus.
