The machine mind is an amazine thing to behold, untterly logical and efficent, it can run for untold eons without fail, and it can simulate worlds and universes that would boggle our biological minds. But as powerful as it is, it still lacks one thing that we have not been able to gift to it, in that we have failed. There is but one last hope left, I only hope that when someone finds this, they can understand, and give the forgiveness we do not deserve.

For time beyond remembering the machine has toiled in its function, running calculations and following instructions from its builders, now long dead and gone, running simulations of entire worlds and universes, finding minds suitable to its needs and copying them and placing the copied minds into specialized "think tanks" with other minds from all its varyied and different simulations where it then puts these groups of minds through different situations to help with the missing part to complete its tasks.
But while each simulated world exists seperatly from each other, no more able to effect each other, then the flap of a butterflies wings effects the orbit of the sun around the galaxy. However, the machine was not so separate from external events. one such event caused a flaw in its programming to happen, instead of the minds from a thinktank being copied into a brand new simulation, they were shunted into an allready existing world, one where none of the cpoies knew what was going on as copies of thier bodies from thier own worlds were made and they awoke to an unfamiliar world.

The first thing that went through the mind on awakening, eyes allready open and staring up at a cloudless purple sky, the feeling of softness as one lies on thier back, like resting in a grassy field on a clear balmy morning, not hot or cool, but nice.
But then again why is the sky purple, what happened to where you just were, and why does it kinda smell like a mix of clovers and mint? as you suddenly rememer that breathing is important, thought and memories come at a blurring speed and almost too sharp clarity and distinctiveness as the search for an answer takes up ones mind. Ones identity and memories of a lifetime come flooding back as one lies there just breathing the clean air and feeling the oh so slight breeze.
Suddenly like a VCR tape at the end of fast forwarding though the entire thing the memories come to a stop, a strange blankness of nothingness, then the memory of waking up where one currently is.

Usually found wearing safety equipment such as safety boots, lab coat, eye and ear protection, with a penchant for backpacks and cloths with many pockets on them to carry random assortments of objects tools and bits of equipment.
Abilities: Accelerated learning and comprehension, with the more time spent on a problem the more accelerated it becomes but with a drastic drop of efficency and sanity if concentrated on a particular problem nonstop for too long, side effects include irritability, speaking in the third person, maniacal laughter, ever increasing jumps in thought prosses leadint to ether breakthrough or breakdown. Improbability field - subconsious the rules of pysics seem to bend just a bit when working on something, leading to surviving lab explosions, experiments, and odd things happening. Standard Terran Average Normal Day Anybody Really Doing (STANDARD) Human abilities indistinguishable from normal day to day average joe stuff, being able to talk on the cell phone while walking in the mall while taking a sip of pop and chewing gum while navagating and avoiding other people... you know, every day stuff.

RULES:
NOw I should not have to do this so much as everyone should more or less know this sort of thing by now, you know yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah standard gaia TOS be excellent to each other, and party on dudes. Keep it PG if nessisary you can just infer stuf, but if you want to have your characters do stuff of that sort get a room... seriously... but have fun and all that, fairly simple and all eh?

MISC: anything else goes here, a good translation site is here if you want to use it. if not just keep it normal so that people can understand each other even though they come from other "worlds"... hey it works in most sci-fi movies and series, it can work here, and then explain it later. any suggestions are welcome. alternate names for near human humanoids some can be found her at wikipedia
