Hey, i am on a low budget, and my mom wants to buy me a guitar, and i found a ******** sleek b.c. rich warlock in our pricerange (150-200) and i was wondering if its a bad idea?

The only low end BC that I like is the Slipknot signiture one. Although, you should try the guitar out before buying, only YOU can tell how it feels when YOU play it.

B.C. Rich bashing is very misleading. No, the guitars in GENERAL aren't bad at all, its the low end Bronze series that is defunctified. Those guitars are pretty much unfit to play on without the buyer doing a major setup overhaul, and the pickups are shite. I tried one out a little while back just to see, and its sucked so bad, my local shop dropped the price to basically nothing, and stopped supplying Bronze series guitars.

Do yourself a favour and save up for something more in the $350-$450 range. The platinum series is pretty spankin' compared to the Bronze series. So long as you play nothing but metal smile if you plan on playing anything but thrash metal on a BC Rich, get some new pickups.

Low end B.C's aren't exactly great, and I assume that the price is in British pounds, correct?

I'd look into a few other brands than just the BC. Looks can be misleading, so a great looking guitar can be one of the worst to play.

A word from the wise.

not really if its the bronze series its really good for a beginner but if its the one bronze thats like 129 than dont buy it or youll have to replace the pick up but the one that cost 150 is awesome

I spell it as both, but I find it hard to believe that they'd sell a BC for 150-200 dollars. Even the low end stuff.

In fact, I'd question any guitar that was under 200 dollars new.

Well see we aren't exactly bathing in money, and we are only getting this two hundred dollars because my brother is gettign a grant from college. So i probably wont be gettign a guitar for better. People ask why I hate capitalism.

Further more, I dont want to JUST play metal, i like a LOT of music. PLUS i dont even have any ******** pedals. As far as guitars go i have a Squier P-Bass, a borrowed Fender Jazz bass, and an Ibanez electric that needs soldering.

If you really want a new guitar don't go for the Bronze Warlock. Thats my advice as a guitarist who has an inkling of what he's talking about.

Oh I love you Ash.
A platinum pro or NJ series guitars would be the best.
But a Platinum is definately a very goo quality B.C. Rich, and is still pretty cheap.

Stop, your flustering me xd

Anyway, from what you've said you HAVE a guitar already, so why do you want to move sideways on the guitar ladder? Move UP man! Splurge a little. I know I will when I get my second (stock bought) guitar.
