Trishtan, a patient of Dr. Yu, is extremely sick... or at least he thinks so. No one knows exactly what kind of sickness he has, but he constantly coughs and is under the impression that he will die in a matter of days. According to Dr. Yu, however, Trishtan is perfectly healthy.

A major hypochondriac hailing from Obel, Trishtan pestered Yu a lot in order to get medicine to treat his 'condition'. What Trishtan didn't know is that his medicine was nothing more than balls of flour, believing it to instead be some sort of 'trade secret'. Frequently coughing, Trishtan expressed an allergic reaction to Nay-Kobold fur, kangacorn fur as well as Giant Owl feathers. He agreed to join Lazlo's group following the liberation of Obel in order to get more medicine from Yu, who was also serving in the group.

During the war, he made the mistake of purchasing some real medicine from Yu's assistant Carrie and was appalled that it had no affect on his condition. Following the war, Trishtan returned to Obel where he was appointed to the Kingdom's Royal Guards. Several years later, he was ordered to assist Kyril in his infiltration of Obel, joining his group. Still suffering from his hypochondria, he refused to believe Yu when the doctor tried to finally tell him about the nature of his medicine. During his time in the Obel military he also became good friends with other officers stationed in the Kingdom such as Jeremy and Millay.

Following the collapse of the Kooluk Empire, Trishtan returned to his duties in Obel, presumably still suffering from the affects of his 'illness'.
