I got the third graphic novel recently and I do love the way it's executed, but there are so many differences between this book and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It's hard for me to say which one I like more, but I think I prefer the movie, to be honest, but I would really like to know what other people think and whether or not like the author's interpretation of the novels as well. 3nodding
Sorry I haven't been in this guild for so long... I usually didn't have that much time online before.

I always wondered why they changed the movie to be so different from the novel. O=
I'm still waiting to get the third manga, hopefully my book store gets it sometime by next month.

The movie was R rated so they could have shown some of the original adult content. Hehe, including D stripping down Leila naked and laying ontop of her to keep her warm while she had a high fever. But I thought D was cold fleshed all the time? Maybe he was trying to cool her temperature? Anyhow, not getting completely taboo in sexual graphics to the point where we see Leila being raped by her brothers (who became just co-workers she joined up with later on in her life). But I think the death of Meier Link in the book was too sudden and didn't show him as heroic and strong as the movie displayed. And Charlotte killing herself at the end would have left the viewers feeling unsatisfied and like it was a completely bad ending. I think I like how the movie turned out. But they could have left in some original story. 3nodding
@Yuber: I like your latest Sig image! And I've missed hearing from you! ^__^ How are you Bish?

I didn't like the way they drew the marcus brothers sisters hair. I can't remember her name at the moment.

I have to re-order my vol. 3 manga. It isn't the special edition version, like the previous two. (Book sleeve, raised letters and color pages).

@Betty: Yeah I think they could have at least made it a little more similar like the real situation that happens in Barbados and how there wasn't really a werewolf and a um... plant person as the loyal escorts... which ends up they were far from truly loyal. Heh, That is really interesting to learn, however. I haven't really read any of the actual novels, just a bit of the first one before my friend took it back. Heh
Thank you. I rather like how psychotic they made him look. xD As for me, things have been a little stressful lately, but I'm good and you Betty?

I'm moving out to Nevada, Reno to be exact. I hope I can take the desert heat waves this summer there. Hot August nights are coming up though and I will be there to party too. But I will miss the sea breezes and the cool fogs that cool down hot temps in the bay area where I am currently living. Another thing I will be bummed about is, I might not be able to attend any future Fanime Conventions in San Jose. ~__~ But due to the economy I'm forced to move and find a more affordable situation as well as find a new job out there. I saw Vol. 3 at Barnes & Nobel and I almost bought it. But I will wait for abit until I am sitting comfortably in a new job and my new home. Hopefully by Sept. 1st I'll be buying VHD again. I'm packing up my D dolls and action figures now for the move.

I didn't know that they had a special edition mangas.Well, there are two versions released; The regular (like any other manga) and the ones I described in my previous post. The latter have two ISBN codes on the back of the books. I checked my normal bookstore and no such luck.
