Physical Description:
Ryou looks to be around 16 years of age by human standards. He is about five foot nine and has amber colored eyes. Due to his long hair that reaches the small of his back and is a deep purple, and that his body is light, making him extremely fast. He has occasionally called a girl by mistake. However those that make this mistake usually are in for a lot of pain or other form of consequence.

Ryou's sealed Zanpakuto is that of two wakizashis like in the picture. They both are held in bone casing and grips with mysterious carvings in them.
-Spirit:
The spirit of Ryou's Zanpakuto is a female goddess of healing and light. Her figure appears to be frail and more breakable than glass but in fact she is quite a force to be reckoned with.
--Shikai:
-Name: Kaji Kane (Faith-healing Chime)
In shikai the blades of the sealed are shattered into a large collection of clear dust that is actually sharp fragments of diamond. These fragments can be controlled at will, including temporarily molding the dust into a larger object. Thus providing a versatile range on offense and defense.
The hilts of the two blades are pressed together and they form a new object. A bell that is like the one in the picture. This bell has a long red cord on it that will fit comfortably around Ryou's neck as a pendant in hand to hand combat is needed.
-Seika (Sacred Song): In this attack Ryou focuses reiatsu into the bell and rings it. The power of the bell is charged into the sound of it and is able to heal one target almost completely within one to two posts length depending on the severity of the wounds and the amount of power Ryou uses.
-Hizashi Heki (Sunshine Burst): Ryou generates light from the crystal dust with his reiatsu. The diamond shards then magnify this light to where it reaches incinerating heat. Once like that the crystal gathers into a "beam cluster" and blasts it in a single beam or wide ray onto enemies. In shikai only two beam clusters can be used at one time while still leaving enough dust for a few basic attacks.
--Bankai:
-Name: Kagi Kane Kagirinai (Eternal Faith-healing Chime)
In bankai Ryou is granted five times as much dust that now is stronger by tenfold and seems to sparkle with greater intensity and in many different colors as it hits the light and is infused with his reiatsu. In this state bell will only ring or make a sound if Ryou places reiatsu in it.
-Naturally, all of Ryou's attacks from before are back in bankai only much more powerful while he also gains a large speed boost from his bankai.
-In the stage of bankai Ryou is granted five times the amount of crystal dust than shikai, thus making his beam attack go up to seven beam clusters usable at once while still leaving plenty of dust to attack with.
-Kaze Masshiro (Pure White Wind): In this attack Ryou focuses healing energy into as mush of the dust as he deems fit. In so doing they glow white. Ryou can then spread this dust out to injured to heal them quickly and provide a physical defense against outside attack while healing as the white wind dances quickly around the target(s).
-Tougoku Jemu (Gem Imprisonment): Ryou forms a shell around a target that is made of thick diamond. The strength is enhanced by Ryou flooding reiatsu into it. this stops nearly all attacks coming in or out of it. Then this attack may go two ways. One: The inside of the shell is filled with healing energy to revitalize the target in one post. Or Two: The inside becomes filled with spikes and then crumples up the target while impaling them. Then after a few seconds of stabbing the casing shatters back into dust for more use.
Special Accessories:
-Ryou carries a few long strips of white cloth to tie his hair back if he needs to, or they can serve as extra bandages.
-He has been known to carry around some form of sweets on his person at almost any given moment.
-Wears a thin copper band around his left wrist. On the inside of the band the word "Shadow-chan" is carved there.

Abilities:

-Bakudo:
1. Restrain (塞, sai?) -Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa?) -An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
8. Repulse (斥, seki) -Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it
9. Strike (撃, geki?) -Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!
-Hadou:
1. Thrust (衝, shō?) -Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai?) -Fires a concentrated bolt of white lightning from the caster's forefinger.
-Chiyudo:
Chiyudou #1, Mother's Kiss.
Chiyudou #5-Kai Kizu ~This kidou is used to heal cuts. Does absolutely nothing for internal.
Chiyudou #7-Kogoeru ~This is mainly used for lowering body temperatures as this kidou allows you to control the body temperature of the patient. But Im pretty sure that if someone really powerful like the Captain - or maybe even the Vice Captain after he/she tries a few times - they will be able to rise the temperature of the body it is being performed on. That could be handy in a fight... Or if someone fought with a person with an ice based zanpakto..
Personality:
Ryou is a very friendly person. He always seems to be a optimist to others while finding joy in seeing them smile. Also he always has a backup plan for his back ups when it comes to almost everything. Ryou also holds a large liking of sweet things or almost any kind.
Biography/History:
Ryou died at a very young age. He was in fifth grade when it happened. At his school there was a stray puppy that frequented his school yard. Almost every day Ryou brought some form of snack to the dog. He was happy to have it as a friend, since his parents wouldn't allow him to keep a pet. However late one night when Ryou was waiting for his ride home after staying after school for soccer he had noticed the dog was not around at all that entire day. That was when he heard the sounds of three teenagers beating on the poor dog. Hearing its yeps of pain Ryou ran to it without any idea what was going on. However as he rounded the corner to where the sounds where coming from and had now stopped he froze, His heart and mind now shattered.
What he saw around that corner was the dog. Dead with blood slightly oozing from its ribs and mouth. The next thing he saw was the shoes of the teenagers, with bite marks and fresh blood stains on them. The teens only were stunned by Ryou's appearance for a moment because they all thought the same thing. "Make sure he doesn't talk." Ryou however lost his control and could almost see in the shade of red that the dogs blood was. Charging at one teenager he swung out with a punch right into the only main weakness he could think of that a boy had. As that one crumpled the other two grabbed Ryou's arms and legs. Then he was beat up badly but no broken bones...yet.
After the three had enough of Ryou the pushed him out of the way into the parking lot telling him to stay quiet or else and send him on his way. However as he started to cross the lot where his parents still hadn't shown up in a driver down the street realized her breaks were out. Trying to find a area to slow down in and not hit anyone she swerved into the parking lot where Ryou was walking. Since it was getting dark out and the woman was still in a confused state about her breaks, she didn't notice the beat up child with long purple hair flowing down his back in her way. Well she did notice... After he was slammed into her windshield at least.
The teenagers and woman all saw this instant death and were caught by the ironic parent of Ryou who had just pulled into the lot. The woman was put in jail for man slaughter and the teens imprisoned for abuse charges. While justice was done Ryou still died that day, along with his best friend. The dog, Shadow. Today, Ryou remembers nothing of his death, only Shadow-chan and the fun they had.
