likes| Mornings, flowers, music, philosophy, poetry, writing, reading, souvenirs, storytelling, photographs, fresh air, plants, tea with milk and sugar, german disco, sweet food, warm scones, greek mythology, history, his father's museum, souvenirs from distant places, being inspired, dressing up nicely, sunny days, new experiences.
dislikes| Being confined, his appearance, his voice, rap music, violence, being overwhelmed, feeling weaker than others, having to depend on people, bland foods, clashing colours, confrontation, people asking if he can 'lend them a hand', meeting others for the first time, struggling with learning things, being told what not to do, lectures on his behaviour, being sent to his room (but what's the point, I mean, really) and having to explain things to people more than once.
hopes| To find a way to make his health better, to become a famous artist of some sort, to have a family and house of his own one day, to be able to take a walk in the rain, to name all his children after his favourite writers and artists, to climb a tree, to fall out of a tree, to have to go to the hospital and come out with all the limbs he went in with, to ride in a hot air balloon, to find out who draws the 'Where's Waldo' books, to have a meal in a restaurant, to go to a festival, to launch fireworks, and to go to a proper school.
fears| Death, being stuck in his room and the museum forever, rain, disappointing others, never being well known, being forgotten, being pitied, and being abandoned.
personality| The sort of person who has watched Dead Poets Society a thousand times and still gets choked up when Neil dies, Chris aspires to be a romantic. He's somewhat self conscious about meeting new people, due to his appearance, and is extra sensitive about what others think about him. He's really quite vain, trying to look as presentable as possible with what limited resources he has to work with, but he's never satisfied. He will always look sickly, skinny and pale, and it bothers him to no end. He's also bothered that he can't go out and see the world, and thus collects souvenirs and pictures with a passion, displaying any bit of cheap gimcrackery from far off places proudly in his room. He likes to hear and tell stories, and he loves being around vivid, animated people. He has a need for attention that transcends his self-consciousness about his looks- he appears to be more afraid of being forgotten than being looked down upon. He's a social creature when he can find society in the small world available to him, and he loves making other people smile and hearing compliments. He writes down everything that he finds interesting or important in journals in his room, everything must be documented so he can remember for longer. Life is something that he wants to live to the fullest which sometimes results in unpleasant experiences for him. The most common example of this is his tea, which he always puts too much milk and sugar into because he can, and it always ends up making him sick. But because milk and sugar are available to him, he wants as much as possible. He has a real sweet tooth and he sometimes eats more than he can stomach, which annoys Archer to death.
When he's sensorily overwhelmed, he gets incredibly disoriented, and a little aggressive. He usually collapses on the floor, and what he says doesn't make sense. He will lash out at anyone who approaches him, say strange things, and shake uncontrollably for until about ten minutes after the factors causing him to overload stop. This will happen if multiple senses are being overloaded at once, like in a rave setting, but can also happen with lesser triggers, especially if he's feeling stressed or ill.
disabilities| Christopher is missing his right arm. He's quite weak, and due to the gray mold that once infected him, if he stays damp too long, there's a possibility gray mold might come back. He must stay in warm, dry places, and expose himself to as little as possible. The gray mold has also affected his mind, and made him prone to occasional fits if his senses are overwhelmed. To make matters worse, due to the fact that his spirit had a weak immune system, he has a weak immune system as well. Thus, he must be very careful of what he comes in comes in contact with and attempt to keep his surroundings clean.

likes| Tea, quiet evenings, Sherlock Holmes stories, history, classical music, cricket, football (nonamerican), old movies, cleanliness, his museum, order, polite debates, Risk, swing music, warm crumpets, antique collecting, Romantic authors, knowing more than others, dry humour, darts, writing and receiving letters, violin playing, fake swordfighting on the sly, reading, out of the way corners, chess, lecturing others on morals, writing short stories, occassionally chicken tikka masala, and gardening.
dislikes| Being taunted, Loud, flamboyant redheads who marry frenchmen, bring them to the house and then make him water his garden, being pestered, excessive noise in his museum, dust, messes, rugby players, wild parties (also because no one ever invites him to any), the large role of sex in the media, sex (probably), small and noisy children, poor sportsmanship (even though he is sometimes guilty of it himself), coffee, this shade of pink, most animals, creases in his suits, disregard for history/family/duty, his family, waterskiing, American football, most modern music, change, and watermelon.
hopes| To be recognized by the Gaian Museum Association, to write a well-received novel, to figure out which children keep ringing his doorbell and hiding, to add several new wings to his museum, to interest the public in history, to lead a generally moral life, to become proficient at cooking, and to make an important historical discovery someday.
fears| Letting down the expectations of others, losing those he cares about, becoming indecent/proud/neglectful, forgetting his morals in pursuit of his goals, that perhaps no one cares for him, and harm coming to Christopher.
personality| Archer is a meticulous man in every way. He keeps his house and museum tidy, arranges his affairs efficiently, and is careful to do what he thinks is right no matter what the consequence may be. He is the kind of person people want to be in charge of things, and after graduating from college he used his family's multitudinous connections to secure curatorship of the small museum he is now the curator of. He is well read and knowledgeable in his field, but is poor at handling people. His relationships, the few that there have been, are ultimately disastrous, and he has a problem communicating candidly with others that seems to stem from his home life as a child. He is slightly competitive and set in his ways, and impropriety sets him on edge. The loud, the noisy, the uncouth run fingernails down the blackboard of his soul, and he does his best to avoid them. When he cannot, he tends to be the sort that suffers in relative silence, although he does have a breaking point, and when he reaches it, he Takes Action. He likes being in control of things, and will quietly take over from someone if they're doing it wrong. He found Chris and sought medical attention for him, later taking him in when it transpired that Chris was not likely to live without an incredibly specific atmosphere in which to do so. Luckily, Archer is just the man to provide that atmosphere, and when called to duty, he uncomplainingly took Chris under his wing and went about to make a room that the boy could live in safely.

acquaintances
lukia| Christopher's dearest friend, and the unofficial daughter of Archer's best friend. He would gladly do anything in his power to make her smile, and adores talking to her. Sometimes she leaves home and he'll get a call from her late at night from god-knows-where. He worries for her at times like those, but she promises she'll come back and he believes her.
asmadai| Archer's best friend, a priest that lives in the neighbourhood. Like Archer, he's quite serious, and Christopher respects him. Sometimes he asks him about morals or gets involved in one of his and Archer's discussions, but not often.
maria| Easily one of Christopher's favourite people. Lively and energetic, she brings a little more life to the house whenever she visits. She always has stories of faraway places, and Chris loves to hear them. She sometimes gives him embarrassing advice or makes jokes he doesn't quite get, but that's fine with him.
etienne| Maria's husband. Usually more quiet than her, Chris knows him, but not that well. He knows that he and Archer don't get along well, but he finds it more funny than alarming.
