Who/What are you?
Zealot - I'm a VRGer! Well... I mean, I guess I used to be. Before everybody died and they cut the comm lines.
Ashley - Well who the ******** are you?
Henri - I'm Henri?
Julian - I am a treasure hunter, and next in line to take over the family buisness. Not that I want to, really. I kind of like the way things are.
Molly - Volatile.
How old are you?
Zealot - I'm almost 17. I think.
Ashley - 21. Not that it matters if I'm not in a bar, which I'm not...
Henri - I don't really feel like it, but my birth certificate still says I'm 24.
Julian - I am 22 years old. I'm not old enough to be in charge of all this s**t.
Molly - I'm 17, ******** yeah rated R movies! Kidding, I don't go to theaters. But I'm a senior, finally, so that's cool. I should have dropped out...

Zealot - ... I used to. I kind of hate him sometimes.
Ashley - I've got a sister. Or used to have a sister? I'm not really sure if I'm dead or not.
Henri - My mother died before she had the opportunity to have more children.
Julian - Yeah... They're twins, and they freak me the ******** out. They take after my mother, and good thing, because even though I'm the oldest, I think she wants them to take over the buisness. Which means I get to keep stealing things.
Molly - God yeah, I have two and a ******** terror cousin that lives with us. My pop's always on the road, so it's just my mom and these three insane kids and me. I don't actually come home a lot anymore.
Who's your mate/spouse?
Zealot - Um? I mean, I have a best friend... her name is Francis.
Ashley - I don't do relationships.
Henri - God, I don't even want to get into that right now. Can we just go with "It's complicated"?
Julian - I suppose some day I should settle down with a woman who knows how to do my accounting, because I sure as hell can't. I think that's why my father married my mother, really. And good thing, too, because without her, we'd be ********. Everybody says I'm just like my dad. I really hate hearing that.
Molly - I guess I'm seeing this guy named Nick, but it's nothing too serious. I mean, we're not a thing or anything, but I guess Maitiu and I are going to be spending A LOT of time together now...

Zealot - Not yet! I don't have a girlfriend. I mean wife.
Ashley - Jesus ********, NO.
Henri - Sort of. Her name is Katze; she's not really mine, but... she is now, I guess. I lived with her mother for a long time... We moved to Germany together, and then I came back to England to get clean... Pick stayed behind with her idiot husband, and when he ran off and she got cancer, she sent Katze to me.
Julian - Haha, no. Andrew's enough of a handful.
Molly - Are you insane? My siblings are poster children for abortion. I will never get pregnant.
Have you ever killed anyone?
Zealot - Um... Well, do zombies count? I'd like to kill Conner, but he's still way bigger than me.
Ashley - Nah. I've gotten in a lot of fights, though... hence me being here, in the hospital from hell.
Henri - No. I tried once, though. Didn't really work out.
Julian - Unfortunately, it comes with the job. I've killed a lot of people.
Molly - ******** no. Who the hell kills people?
What kind of music do you like?
Zealot - I like to listen to soundtracks, actually, so I guess instrumental stuff. I like songs with lyrics too, though. I dunno.
Ashley - Punk. And by Punk, I mean ******** YOU GREEN DAY. Black Flag, Anti-Flag, The Germs, The Dead Milkmen, Prophagandhi, The Dead Kennedys, The Subhmans, The Exploited, Left Over Crack... bands like those.
Henri - I like a lot of music, but mostly post-punk. You know, the lot that was in before pop?
Julian - Good bands from New Orleans. I grew up there, kind of... 6-12th grade, I spent in a boarding school in New England, same as my crazy father before me... I came home every summer, though. Now that I'm out, I spend a lot of time out of the country, mostly in Europe. I still love going to shows in the French Quarter, though.
Molly - Punk, indy, whatever the ******** I feel like. I'm really into the Distillers and the Donnas and Sleater-Kinny and stuff.
What do you do to relax?
Zealot - Well, I used to play VRGs. Now I ignore Connor, or talk to Yamako and Chef, when they're in the mood to talk.
Ashley - I hit people.
Henri - I drink... I smoke, I go to shows, I annoy James, I sleep, I take baths...
Julian - I like to get hotel rooms with a view that I can see from my bed. I like to look over cities when I think about things. I spend a lot of time wondering what things will look like in the future, or estimating the future value of things I encounter.
Molly - Smoke pot, listen to music, watch movies, sleep with Nick... Whatever.
Do you constantly get hurt?
Zealot - It's starting to seem like it. When I played VRGs, I was really good at keeping up my health, but I guess it's not like that in real life. Plus, Connor beats me up a lot. It makes me not feel so bad that I might have broken his rib.
Ashley - Yeah. This is the first time it's ever landed me in hell, though.
Henri - Well... sort of.
Julian - Good Lord, no. That would be a professional disaster.
Molly - I get roughed up sometimes. A lot more lately than usual, which is kind of insane. Maitiu says it's his job to make sure nobody kills me, so he helps with that kind of thing. He's really strong. And Irish. He's pretty cute, too.
Whats your favorite season?
Zealot - I kind of like the winter and the fall. I like being inside. Plus, I think that snow is really cool.
Ashley - I like the fall, when it's not too hot and not too cold; not to mention, I was born in the fall. Beginning of it, anyway.
Henri - I like the summer. I like the heat, and I like swimming. Water makes me feel safe.
Julian - Spring and early summer, I suppose. Fresh greens and flowers and birds and all that. I think they're nice. Plus, it gets warm enough to start going out to catch fish, and to sit on patios and watch people grill you up some shrimp. I miss Louisiana a lot sometimes.
Molly - Summer! ******** school! Not that I have to worry about that much longer.

Zealot - Ummm...
Ashley - Yeah?
Henri - Well, yeah. It gets me into a lot of trouble, usually.

Zealot - Francis! Not that we've ever... well, met. I mean, in real life, anyway.
Ashley - It pisses me off to think about what I left behind. I care about some of those people, sure, but it doesn't really bother me that I might never see them again. It just bothers me that I'm stuck HERE instead of there, locked in a ******** supply closet with god knows how many broken bones while those assholes are out having a good time. Probably doing all of my drugs since I've gone missing, those dickweeds.
Henri - James. Sometimes. And Pick, until she died, of course.
Julian - Andrew. I'm not supposed to call him that, though; our fathers always discouraged the mention of "friendship" I'm supposed to affectionately call him my associate or something, and only on special occasions, because he's not even that, technically. He's just my body guard, just like his dad is my dad's body guard. We grew up together, though. He's my best friend.
Molly - I have a group of people I hang with, but most of them are duche-bags. I guess Nick, because I like him enough to sleep with him. And Maitiu seems... nice.

Zealot - Um. Well.... kind of.... please don't tell Yamako, because she knows EVERYTHING, and I don't want her to figure it out and tell, because she does stuff like that, and, okay, so just don't tell anybody? Please?
Ashley - ********, I just found out she's a succubus. But she brings me water sometimes when she's sucking out my emotions and inflicting pain, so that's pretty cool.
Henri - Every other day.
Julian - Sometimes.
Molly - Okay, yeah. HE'S IRISH. He wears cons and avs and he's really sweet. I'd have to be brain dead not to like him just a little.
Do you like hugs/kisses/cuddles/etc.?
Zealot - Yeah. I haven't gotten a hug in a while, though. Nobody's very friendly on this ship... not even Henry and Connor, and they're like best friends. Everybody hates Connor, though, I guess except for Henry, though he doesn't act like it, and Yamako kind of likes Henry and me, but Henry doesn't like her because she's always right and she lectures him a lot and he's super stressed out right now anyway. Chef doesn't like anybody (he wanted to throw us out into open space, et cetera), except he likes Yamako, and THEY hug a lot... but nobody hugs me.
Ashley - I. ********. Hate. Touching. People.
Henri - I do. A lot, actually. I think I'm kind of addicted to it.
Julian - For the right lady, I will do anything.
Molly - Sure. They're cool sometimes. I don't like drunk guys thinking they can just come up and ******** touch me or anything, though.

Ashley - No, but I get in fights a lot.
Henri - No. It's hard to get out of bed most of the time, much less exorcise.
Julian - I don't "play" anything, but I'm practiced in several martial arts, and Andrew and I train daily to keep in shape.

((I was gonna do more, but got to like 7 characters, and decided to do just these two, since they're in the same story and Sandi already did hers.))
Who/What are you?
Kolya - My name is Nikoali Yulianovich. Yes, -ovich patronymic, we used to be important once. Now I am worker in dirty city, working for Steel Union.
Felix - The name's Felix. I fix stuff.
How old are you?
Kolya - 32
Felix - Twenty sommin
Are you a boy or a girl?
Kolya - I am man, is obvious.
Felix - For God's sake, I hope you can tell. I grew up in ******** hot sheet, and nothin' against the ladies, but the idea that I might be mistaken for a woman is kind of disturbing to me.
Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Kolya - Yes, I have much family in Rocky Mountains refugee camps, but my brother, he left to Canada to work on rail road for trade, mostly to smuggle around French embargo. We can build rail road on glacier, no problem. I went with him, but lost toes, and moved to south coast eventually.
Felix - Pfffttt.... I don't really want to talk about that.
Who's your mate/spouse?
Kolya - I am having only cats, but this is not the same. They are like my children.
Felix - Nah, I didn't exactly grow up in the kinda place where strong, nuclear family ties were encouraged. My ******** sister is enough goddamn trouble as it is, I don't need any more s**t from the opposite sex right now, thanks.
Do you have any kids?
Kolya - Nyet. Kittens only.
Felix - God no, but I'll tell you one thing; if I ever conceive a goddamn kid, it's gonna be one at time and I'm gonna stick around and raise the kid right for ******** sake.

Kolya - No, but have seen many men die in many accidents over many years.
Felix - Nah, not my style at all. I've known some rats to get iced by the Unions, but I don't ever gamble more than I got, and I'm a gentleman when I gotta be. Suppose I could join the volunteer war effort, but they need guys like me to stick around in the North to fix things for 'em, right? Who's gonna fix all the shot up plains if I'm all shot up in 'em?
What kind of music do you like?
Kolya - I am liking music from home land, but in city, is hard to find. I enjoy music that is helping me relax after hard day-- I am not dancer, so I do not like too loud.
Felix - I sure dig some jazz sometimes. Now don't get me wrong, I ain't no Zoot Suit kid pickin' brawls with the navy guys, but I can cut a rug if I gotta. Mostly I just like listenin to pretty ladies singin pretty songs while I'm in the shop or in a back room poker game.
What do you do to relax?
Kolya - I am sleeping, my job is very hard. Vodka is very nice, kittens are nice, I am feeding them on my window often. Some like Little Walrus grew up eating with me, and she stays all day now. Others come and go. They are my friends.
Felix - Eh, poker, boxing, sometimes I'll throw my lot in at the slots if I'm drunk and stuffed with cash. I like dice, but it's not my main thing either-- Cards is my game, but boxin is great to watch, and easy to bet if you pay attention. It's all politics anyway.
Do you constantly get hurt?
Kolya - I am sometimes getting injured like most, like I have saying, I lost toes, but I have seen horrible things, and I feel often very lucky that I have been very safe.
Felix - Nah, I keep my nose clean. Nobody's got nothing to pick with me, I introduce 'em to all the girls for a hot price if they're on my good side anyway. I don't cheat at cards, I'm just damn good and they know it. I ain't in any of the Unions 'cause I work as a contractor for the Imperial Armies, and there ain't right minded Union who wants to pick a straight bone with the French Army, especially when we ain't got one of our own no more. The damn Unions think they're so hot, but they're tiny. Too many in one town, much less in a broke up country.
Whats your favorite season?
Kolya - Winter reminds me of home. And frost bite.
Felix - I suppose I like summer, but it gets awful warm around the hangers sometimes. Better than freezin, I suppose.

Felix - Not lately. Works been kinda crazy since the war got big, with the ******** Chinese givin' the Spanish hell to our right and the damn Portugese shooting up the French and the British to our left... it's crazy how much work I gotta do, breakin up these damn planes and tanks and fixin 'em up again and usually goin' from two to one in the process. Don't get me wrong, I love girls-- they just give me a headache.
