I hope that with next gen systems coming up, they'll make a new one where you can roll up a ball SO huge that it rolls up planets and solar systems. xd

KapKyle I hope that with next gen systems coming up, they'll make a new one where you can roll up a ball SO huge that it rolls up planets and solar systems. xd They have! It's called "We Love Katamari" you can roll up planets and stars in that game and more. There's another Katamari game comming out for PSP which I'll be getting. I have both Katamari games so far an they're both great.

Hopefully they'll perfect it. 3nodding I bet that without both analog sticks it would be kinda difficult. Anyhoo, I'm sure Katamari Damacy games will be just as good on the next-gen consoles. I really don't see how they could screw the core of the game up.

RydiaChaCha The creator of Katamari has said he doesnt want to make anymore games. gonk Yeah... I heard that. gonk But it's not too unlikely that there'll be more, even though he said that. Game developers usually can't afford to retire a smash hit series before its time... No matter whether they want to continue it or not. I'm really hoping for more Katamari, but at the same time I don't want the creator to do it if he doesn't want to. gonk

I would suspect probably one more Katamari game per generation, or until the original fans die.
As far as the PSP KD goes, I'm skeptical. Not having two analog sticks could be rough. I really think the DS would actually work better for this, because you could use the stylus to guide it. (but I have a DS already, so I'm biased.) The PSP has a different sort of audience, too. Katamari Damacy fits in more with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Nintendogs, and Feel the Love: XX/XY.
My My Katamari Damacy would be one of the deciding factors in me getting a PSP. I feel like such a consumer whore...

Quote: But Mr Takahashi did not want to make a sequel. He only got involved after his employer Namco said it would otherwise go ahead without him. I think too much Katamari could ruin it, for me atleast. I'm satisfied with what we have. ^^
News Article Here if anyone wants to read, its interesting XD
