Oh, it was a good day. A great day, even!
Poromoko was in a brilliant mood. She felt like her mood could take the clouds out of the sky on her strange pelt, considering how bright it was. What an interesting few days she was having, with a particularly entertaining night tucked in there, too!
She had now officially decided that she liked boys very much.
The Dragonfly had been more than fun to tease and be playful with, and that brown cheetah... he was surprisingly witty and sharp. Not to mention fun. Had she even learned his name? Whoops.
Oh well, that hardly mattered. She'd run into him again if she was meant to, and if not there was no harm in it. This was the life she liked to live: wandering around, free of commitment, open for fleeting relationships and never letting anything drag her down or make her stop moving forward. What could go wrong there?
Grinning broadly, humming to herself, she trotted languidly, a dance in her step, her mind on other things and her eyes not on the path in front of her.

It just so happened that on the path in front of her was a large, all-black lion, strolling happily along without a care in the world. He was just doing what he always did - wandering to nowhere in particular, hoping to happen upon some friendly female company. And he wasn't picky, either! Lions, leopards, cheetahs...they were all fine by him!
Honestly, he'd probably even flirt with a friendly hyena or wild dog; while he wasn't interested interested in them, a female was a female. But here, heading his way, was a cheetah! A rather curiously-marked one, at that.
"Hello!" he called cheerfully.

Poromoko decided she wanted to dance. So she did, since her general lack of inhibitions often prompted her to do things at random. Plus, she thought she was alone and she apparently adhered to the 'dance like no one is watching' rule of thumb. Her long legs lent themselves well to it, anyway, and before too long she was spinning in pointless circles to a song that didn't really exist.
And it was wonderful!
Spinning around, she came to an abrupt stop when she heard a voice, blinking at the large form that she had somehow managed to miss. Of course, she couldn't be blamed: it probably would have been really easy to see him if she had been keeping her eyes open.
As it was she was a bit surprised, but not unpleasantly so.
"Why hello there, big guy!" She purred, "I would have bumped right into you if you hadn't said something!"

Well! This was a lively one, that was for sure! Dancing along until she heard his voice...it was sort of charming, really. And she was friendly, too! She didn't seem bothered in the least to have almost run into a full-grown male lion.
"Well," he said, chuckling, "Maybe I shouldn't have said anything!"

Oh ho, had she found another one? Where all boys this fun, or was she just extremely lucky? She didn't want to jinx it, so she let her hope lie in the former. This was the second lion she had met, the first less entertaining than her cheetah friends, but with markings similar to hers. This one lacked those markings, but at least he seemed to be in a better mood than the other one.
Lions were fascinating to the lithe, young cheetah. She padded closer, tilting her head at him as she investigated his fur. It was a different texture to hers. She looked up at him at his words, getting pretty close.
"You wouldn't have minded me bumping into you, huh?" she asked, canting her head comically to one side, "I'll remember that."

"No, not in the least," he answered with a purr, every bit as intrigued by the ceetah as she was by him. Cheetahs in general were fascinatingly different from lions, all long legs and slender bodies. And this one? Her markings were unlike anything he'd seen on another creature before! When she came close, he took the opportunity to study them.
"I'm Al-Hattal, by the way," he offered, "Or Al-Ha, if you'd like."

"You can call me Poromoko. All the O's make it good for nicknames. Poro. Moko. Less regularly, Romo. Whatever," she grinned, a bit wistfully, thinking of something else but not making a comment. Her head was filled with tangents, and not all of them could be voice in a socially acceptable way.
"Al-Ha," she echoed after a beat, moving so she could take a look around him from every angle. As she moved she brushed her tail over his fur, staying so close that it seemed she probably wouldn't be getting the best view. But it's just the one she wanted.
She wasn't too worried, either. If he didn't like it, she was pretty fast.
"That's got a laugh built right into it. I like it already."

The touch of a female was, in fact, what he liked most in all the world. It was, ultimately, the reason he wandered. He adored them, all of them, and wanted as many as he could possibly have. Perhaps he could be called addicted. He twined his tufted tail so that it would brush against her.
"I'm glad you approve, Romo," he remarked, deciding on her 'less regular' nickname. That automatically made it the most appealing of the three.

She purred when she felt his tail move. So he did like it. That was good. At least she wasn't the only one. It seemed she had found someone akin to her, in a way. Bold, lacking shyness, and firm in what they liked and wanted. Why shirk away from it? Besides 'common propriety' but she didn't buy in to that.
She laughed.
"I actually made that one up myself. I've been waiting for it to be picked up, though. I like the way you say it." She curled around him to come back to face him. She sat near to him not directly in front of him but off to the side with her head tilted in his direction, ears almost buried in his mane.
"So, what brings you into my path today?" she asked whimsically, swishing her tail behind her and letting it flop against his back.

"I do my best," he said with a pleasant chuckle, curling his tail around behind her when she sat beside him.
"I could ask you the same question," Al-Ha teased, winking. "But I suppose, since you asked first, it's only right that I answer first. It just so happens that I was hoping to meet a lovely lady today. I hadn't realized she'd be a dancer, though."

"More divine providence for you, then," she said with a laugh, "to meet a dancing waterfall. Luck is on your side today! And mine, too, I think. But I dunno for sure. Besides that cute face of yours giving you some points, I think you've got the better side of this little meeting."
She grinned. She wasn't really that cocky. Or maybe she was, but she didn't normally voice it. But she liked this lion, and wanted to play with him some more. See what he would and wouldn't do or say around a complete stranger.
Well, not complete. They knew each others name, at least. That was one step forward for Poro.
"Unless you dance, too."

"I think maybe I do," he agreed, never one to argue with a pretty lady on points such as that one. His dark eyes shone with both humor and curiosity, never leaving the 'dancing waterfall.'
"I'm afraid you have an unfair advantage when it comes to dancing," he protested with a chuckle - not that he wouldn't attempt to dance if he thought it would get him somewhere. "All lovely long legs the way you are. I, on the other hand, was not built for such grace."

"That's true," the flirtatious cheetah sighed, feigning disappointment.
She looked him over again, moving closer to inspect his front legs first. She sniffed at them, as if the smell might tell her if they were fit for dancing, but really she just wanted to tickle his fur with her nose. She looked up at him, then curled around him to inspect his back legs in a similar manner.
"You might have a few moves in you," she said, returning to sit in front of him now, quite close. "But you seem to be built for other things. Those back legs of yours look pretty strong." She grinned deviously, then shook her head with the utmost innocence in her movements.

It was a good thing he wasn't actually ticklish! It made enjoying such gestures quite a bit easier, when you didn't have to worry about falling apart into gigles because of some...less-than-masculine reflex. Not that Al-Hattal was preoccupied with being masculine, per se - just attractive, and they usually went together.
"Oh? You like them, do you?" The dark lion grinned right back. "I do try to keep in shape. One never knows when the need to...exert oneself may arise."

Poromoko laughed. His innuendo implied that he caught hers, and she liked that. She tilted her head at him, nodding approvingly.
"Well, I hope I'm not keeping you from anything that you might have had to exert yourself for. I'd feel really guilty about that. A good bit of exercise is always important for a healthy, fun life, right?" she shook her head, making the waterfall on her side move again.
"Anyway, I'd feel real guilty. If I am getting in the way of a schedule, or a goal, I'd be happy to make up for it." Was that too subtle? Subtle enough? She was still getting used to being a shameless flirt, as she had only discovered how wonderfully entertaining boys could be recently.
It was a very fun learning process.
