I know it's not realy a religious topic, but, oh well.
Ok, since it's inception this war has done nothing except kill our own. the puppet governments in Iraq and Afghanistan will not survive as soon a we pull out. More and more of our troops die for the cause of ending terrorism.
Terroroism as a concept can never be contained or destroyed. Every time a soldier puts a bullet in a terrorist it creates new terrorists, his sons, nephiews cousins and brothers. any government the coalition helps prop up is still opposed by the people who still live in the countries so as soon as the militaries that enforce the peace pull out civil wars will claim the governments and the people will decide who they want to lead.
All in all this means that our troops are going to continue to be the targets of bombings and suicide squads until they6 are pulled out and all that they have worked for will be destroyed once they do.

I don't like it. It's just another Vietnam War to me. They say that they are making "progress" but I just don't see it.

Isaac488 I don't like it. It's just another Vietnam War to me. They say that they are making "progress" but I just don't see it. I see the progress, they are digging a progressively bigger hole to try and get out of later, they are filling a progressing number of caskets with coalition soldiers.

*le sigh* This topic makes me so depressed...
Not only for the innocent soldiers being killed, but also civilians.
All of this war is just making it worse in Afghanistan.
Between America terrorizing them and Taliban terrorizing them i dont know how they dont have a high suicide rate.
I think if we left them alone, they could combat terrorism on their own country by theirself. Like, Taliban are terrorists, they do NOT follow Islam. Do not confuse it, they are NOT Muslims!
They recruit homeless boys to their group, offering them food and shelter. Just like a cult, they exploit the weakness of the boys and giving them things to survive, then brain wash them.
They blow up schools for girls, because they believe an educated wife or mother will be able to take care of her kids ~ and teach them that the Taliban is wrong.

I'm not really sure what my stance is on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't like them, but then again I'm not sure. I've seen good and bad things come from them, but...well that's with all wars. I try to stay neutral on them.

Shadows-shine I'm not really sure what my stance is on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't like them, but then again I'm not sure. I've seen good and bad things come from them, but...well that's with all wars. I try to stay neutral on them. Could you provide some examples of the good that has come from them? i know quite a few negatives but no positives coem to mind.
