So I was re reading an old chapter today, and It pulled up that scene in the Hunters Guild... this scene. 
Okay Thoughts.......
Umm what exactly happened here? When I read this again I was thrown off mainly by Kaien's reaction...... he looks nervous... see the sweatdrop on his cheek? and First of all Im suspicious he did it somehow. We don't know the extent of Kaien's powers as his skill as a hunter are beyond the norm. He can erase memory, and hius senses are sharp. I wondered if perhaps he set the page on fire for yuuki's security's sake.
OR
Second theory:
Yuuki herself did it without realising it... due to
A. The vampire in her unleashed its power by accident due to her emotions rise , the quickened heartbeat as she got closer to tracing her past.
B. Juuri's spell caused that to happen. Because the spell she cast to make yuuki human may even be connected to hiding the truth from her.
Third theory:
Page was jinxed by DNA to prevent certain eyes to look at it-
A. Jinxed by Kaname --- so nobody would find out the identity of his sister, including yuuki
B. Jinxed by Kaien ------ His own spell cast on the page for security purposes
C. Jinxed by the President ----- who has her own devious ambitions as to why she doesn't want the contents of that page read.... see that devious smile she's giving?
D. Jinxed by Rido. ------- His attack on the Kurans was covered up fast, however maybe this page revealed evidence against him.
I have a bajillion theories going here as to why the page caught on Fire.... I would love to hear some output as this has been driving me mental all day

hmm...i think it's the second theory B ..becuase Juuri wanted to hide the fact that Yuuki was a vampire to keep her safe and When Yuuki touched the page apart of Juuri's pureblood spell activated destorying the evidence that could awaken Yuuki^^

That would make ALOT of sense. Its just Kaien's reaction caught me off guard... it was strange to see him not really freak out just suddenly look nervous. He almost looks guilty... Its very hard to deceipher him in the manga compared to the anime

i dont think he looks nervous bc he supposedly made it set on fire. its probably bc he already knows what yuuki's past is and didn't expect her to be able to find it. he probably knew something would prevent her from finding her past nd got nervous bc the book went on fire nd would make yuuki even more suspicious of her past.
i think its theory b.

When its done if you need some new experience actors I know a guy.

My theory is that maybe a curse was put on the page to prevent anyone from reading it.
That it was initially written to record the event but someone decided that it was dangerous information or that nobody should gain any incriminating knowledge from it.

I don't think Yuki did it. The page burned due to the Secret that Yuki is actually pureblood Kuran. It was probably so she wouldn't awaken earlier.
I think Kaien is just worried about Yuki here. He probably thinks its best for her to stay unaware about her past
