The chocolate pelted female bolted through the high grassed surrounding the den she and her small family lived in. Her mocha colored swirls covering her back and ornamented her eyes. Deep purple leopard spots nearly visible over her hackles. She'd snuck out again and was sure the others wouldn't be far behind her soon enough. Especially her brother Numair, he was as bad as her when it came to sneaking out when their parents were asleep; the night owls.

Aranel's over-sized puppy paws carried her towards a smell she had picked up the other day, surprised it was still there. Her father had said it was a rabbit, she wanted to catch it and show her parents how good of a hunter she could be. So she was a show off, what did she care? Daddy loved his little princess and she knew it all too well. Maybe she took too much advantage to being Chagrin's first daughter. She wasn't the biggest of the litter, but she wasn't the smallest, she was a good in between of the two.

Her blue eyes searched out for the rabbit hole, whatever that looked like and her nose stuck nearly into the dirt. She swore she could hear the other behind her, curses. Her little tail stuck straight in the air, she'd still try for that rabbit herself, she found it first at the very least.

User ImageShe followed her sister closely, the smallest of the litter, momma's pride and joy. Her vibrant green eyes focused on her darker counterpart and stretched out once they were out of the den. With a sigh of relief, Jayel yipped to her sister and then tackled her, bitting her muzzle and going for her ears, trying to get her to play. Of course the two toned girl wanted to play; that's how Jayel was!

Despite all her energy, Jayel spent more time picking herself up than actually getting anything done. She was clumsy as ever, but she didn't let that stop her. Her true personality was a happy one. With parents like Chagrin and Myrle, who could be sad?

Getting off her sister, Jayel yipped some more and sniffed around the grass, snorting a bit when it got in her nose. "Hey, wanna get a rabbit?"

User ImageNumair had long left the den before the girls had even escaped. He was quieter then his sister about his ways, therefore it was rare he got caught… not to mention his siblings flamboyant markings. The downside to this was the pup went the opposite way of the girls unseen by anyone, and now he was lost. Every bird cry, every rustle of leaves padded thick beneath his paw pads, startled him out of his skin. It took him a bit of walking in circles but eventually he made peace with his surroundings, knowing that eventually the predawn light would allow him a pathway to his den.

It was not until he was wandering for quite some bit that he saw the grass wavering a bit, which immediately brought the young wolf to a crouching position with his hackles up absolutely quiet. He crept forward full of nerves, and peeked through the veil of green

Low and behold his sisters were there, romping about as they usually did, but it was enough to annoy Numair, and get him irritated from fear.
“What the hell are you doing out?”

The dark female snarled at her sister and bit back at here frustrated. She had hoped to get away without being followed. Just her luck. She nipped hard at her sisters ear and scoffed. "I found the rabbit first." she growled low in her throat. She didn't want to share her hunt. You could almost have called the little female spoiled, but in a litter of four it was hard to say any of them in particular was spoiled, their parents loved them all, but Ara liked to think Daddy liked her best.

She padded off, knowing her runt sister would follow behind her. She stuck her nose back to the ground and headed off after the scent of the hare. Her tail stood straight in the air, soft black padded paws following the trail. With time those soft pads would become calloused and rough, good for travel, which her father said when they were old enough they would leave the den to travel. It was an exciting prospect, and almost scary.

"Hey, Jay...What do think about Momma and Daddy talking about leaving the den and traveling when we're older?" she asked, if her sister was going to follow she may was well make use of it.

She ignored her sister's apparent dislike for her following and attacking her. Jayel was used to her elder sister's spoiled attitude, though there was times it bothered her and made her just want to snap at her. However, Jayel showed a lot of restrain.

Just as she was about to open her mouth, she heard her brother's harsh language and voice and her ears pinned back. Of course he'd been mad. Her family was so predictable sometimes. With a sigh, the two toned female rolled her eyes at him. "Chill out, guys.. God.. I followed because mom and dad are sleeping and I was bored. How do they stay up all night anyway? I think they think they're owls or somethin'.."

Oh, he wished he just had calm, docile siblings who would follow rules and not make so much noise! By far the biggest of the bunch as the first of the litter, Kazim also proved to be the most even-tempered of the pups, finding nothing more pleasant than listening to his mother's stories and snoozing the day away. Actually, that was what he had been trying to do when he'd heard his brother start to wake and sneak out of the den. Curse him for being such a light sleeper! The slightest noise out of the ordinary woke him at once.

He lay on his back, still as death as he attempted to doze, but was foiled again as one of his sisters stirred as well. He resisted the urge to moan. One more time, he would try just one more time . . . but before he even started to drift into sleep the last of his siblings had gotten up to trail after the others. The eldest pup whined pitifully. Now that he was awake there was little chance of him going back to sleep again. So it was with a heavy heart that he got up and toddled after them, following after his sisters slowly until he came across the collective group.

"Do you guys have to be so loud?" Kazim whimpered, golden eyes half-closed as they regarded his siblings dolefully.

[o.o.c.: Sorreh. I fail'd there. Edited!]

Aranal looked back at her whining brother. "Oh Kazim quit being such a whiny pup." she snapped, she hated when he did that. "It's not like Momma and Daddy are gonna wake up." she shrugged. At this point she gave up her idea of hunting for the rabbit, just Jayel trailing her was one thing, but her eldest brother as well...forget it, it wasn't worth it.

"You guys do what you want, I'm gonna go find Numair." she growled and turned the other direction. There were times when she go along with her siblings, but there were times where she wished she weren't part of such a big litter. Maybe just her and Numair, yeah, that sounded about right, at least he could really play fight. If there was anyone besides her father she liked it was her brother Numair.

She stuck her nose to the ground searching for his scent, it was pretty easy to get lost amongst the tall grass so it was pretty common to just use ones nose to find their way around. She caught a whiff on the wind and took off toward it. "NUMAIR!" she called out, tail bobbing back and forth. Maybe she could sneak up on him and pounce him.

Numar had wandered off long ago mumbling something about how idiotic they were all being. He tilted his head at a squirrel that had run by and chattered at him unhappily, running with its breakfast to the nearby tree. The dark wolf debated running after it but decided it was best to leave it alone. Sighing heavily he stuck his nose in a hole in the ground, only to be chaced off by a rather angry fox and her mate. It was then that he heard Ara trying to call out his name, and he debated even showing her his presence. When he was within distance of the girl he barked out to her.

“You know, there’s no way in hell you can sneak up on anything if you’re that loud.” Turning away from her he headed in the direction of the waterfall, curious of how water could get so high up. He knew his parents would find them if the other two were up, and he decided it would be best if he could explore as much as possible before that happened. Oh why was he cursed with such problematic siblings?
“Let me guess, you’re going to tell father I’m being cross with you.” He rolled his eyes and barked a laugh, as if he really cared if he got in trouble; he was always in trouble for something. ‘Twas the way of the world.
His eyes narrowed on a dragonfly and pounced, only to land on a rock cross eyed, damn things had to be horribly horribly fast.

Jayel looked to the eldest sibling she had and bounded over to him, barreling right into him and began to chew on his ear happily, like they weren't sneaking out. She wanted to play, to explore, to just be a puppy. Not worry about things like the other three seemed to. With a grin, she pushed him and then righted herself, shaking off the dust in her coat with a huff.

"Why do all of you gotta be so.... worried? I mean, let's go explore or something. Momma said something about a waterfall. I can hear it, let's go see it, right?" She grinned at her siblings and then moved over to Numar, following after him, nipping at his tail while she did it. Yes, she knew her siblings found her annoying, but she didn't care. She was being herself and that was what she cared about.
