"Grandma! Grandma!"

The calling of her sweet baby granddaughter gave the old ahjumma a cause to awaken from her much needed rest. Rushing out as fast as a women of 79 could, the old Ahjumma crossed the dark lit hall and into her granddaughter's pink room.

Turning on the light, the old ahjumma came closer to the little girl who was wide awake and clutching on an old teddy for dear life.

"Hush, Hush, child," the old ahjumma soothed as she sat down at the edge of the bed and stroked the little girl's soft black hair. "Why is my little YunHee crying?"

Sniffling, the little black-haird girl looked up from her grandmother's chest and began wiping aways some of her tears. "I had a bad dream, Grandma." She said in a shaky voice. "I don't want to sleep by myself anymore."

The old ahjumma gave her only granddaughter a comforting smile and craddled her in her feeble arms.

"Then what if I stay here until you fall asleep again?" the ahjumma said, still stroking the little girl's hair. "Would you like me to do that?"

The little give a sniffling nod. "Yeh...Grandma?"

The grandmother looked down at her daughter's big teary brown eyes and asked, "What is it my dear?"

The girl nestled closer to her grandmother's warmth, "Could you please tell me that story with that beautiful angel again?"

The old ahjumma was taken aback. "Jung YunHee, haven't I told you that story too many times already?"

YunHee just smiled, "I love that story, the angel is so beautiful and nice."

"Ok then, let's see," the old ahjumma began, "The beautiful angel came down and -"

"Aniyo! Aniyo!" YunHee stopped her grandma and pouted, "start from the beginning, tell me how that beautiful angel died again."

The old ahjumma just laughed, "Well aren't we impatient!" She exclaimed, tickingling her granddaughter. "But very well... There was a man named Kim JaeJoong... and he killed himself because of a girl...because of love. Friends and family wondered how a strong person like Jae could become so weak in the face of love. He was perfect - smart, handsome, and very popular. He was an obedient son – most of the time, received high marks in his class, and had a talent in singing.

When JaeJoong floated up to the pearly gates, he was afraid he wouldn't be accepted in. But God loved him and felt sorry for him. In the end, He let him stay in heaven. But JaeJoong didn’t feel worthy enough to be in such a paradise. He asked God to let him stay on earth in order to watch over someone else; so others won’t make the same mistake he did… even if it was for love.

God, moved by his selflessness, granted him beautiful white wings, and called him a Guardian Angel."
