So, behind our band practice field is the ROTC trail which is REALLY long. I got hiking on it all the time. Anyways, two majoretters go hiking down the trail, then quickly comes back and tells the guard coach. She goes back, then comes back with two people. She was as white as snow.. she had caught the two people having sex in the woods. One was a drum line member, the other was not in band. The band director drove the drum line member home himself and talked to the parents. Needless to say, he's out of band.
Just thought I'd share. :] Care to share a story?

I don't think anything that bad has happened with our band for a long time. But during my freshman year a guy and a girl were caught making out on a bus ride home from a football game, so now they separate the girls and the guys on the buses. It really sucks because I have a lot of guy friends that I like to sit by ...

The practice rooms! They have soundproof doors, you can't see inside if you turn out hte lights, and they lock from the inside... You do the math.

I think most kids band, mostly marching, are like that. I caught the current drum minor and her boo (also in marching band) rolling around on the band room floor, it was like sex with clothes on, the BD even caught them. The BS about it is that they didnt get in trouble.
And from my expirences of being in marching band (however playing clarinet) and in a winter drumline, and currently with a member of the drumline, that they are ALL like that. I have seen more of the members of drumline then I have ever wanted to see.

Let's just say our director has a no tolerance policy about PDA. Girls and guys can't sit together on the bus.
One girl and one guy got kicked out of our band last year for doing things during games under the stands.
Most of our band isn't like that but a few people are and it's disgusting.

Okay so in Utah there is like no one who is sexually active and if they are, you don't know.
However if we are caught making out on the bus or at practice we are out of the band and they start separating boys and girls on the bus. But hand holding, hugging, mild cuddling,(ie laying on shoulders) are all okay. One of our BD just makes a lot of fun of us. I should know my boy friend is on our water crew and we are always cuddling on the bus.

There was a rumor about that happening at my school, a little before I was there. It's so sick! My band was tolerant enough of kissing and cuddling, but anything serious while at school or a band thing and they would be out.

We have the same type of practice rooms, so yeah, I know how everyone else feels.
And with the drumline, which I am a proud member of at my school, we see each other so often, it really isn't anything special to us. Like, our section leader, she's beautiful, but the fact is I've seen her without a top on so often I usually don't notice it now. It's almost like me seeing another guy without his shirt on. Just doesn't phase me.
And at my school it seems that nothing serious ends up happening until the last semester of school, by this point the BD is so out of it he usually doesn't notice. But, at the same time, more stuff happens at TOB's during marching season then during indoor season. The only time stuff happens during indoor season is during WildWood. That my friends, is a different story though ;D

Well, I don't know if anything like that was happening, but I do know that last year, we would get yelled at for being perverted. Our BD and ABD would yell out, "Rule # 7!" This year, it's "Rule # 1!" Now, I haven't dated, and we don't have a drum line. Our base drummer graduated, so we have a new one of those. Our best drum player plays both, the snare and the quads, and...it's a girl! She is awesome! Our drummers march onto the field with us, but then they go to the sidelines to join the pit. I go to a small school, so we don't have very many players. This year, we have 4 flutes, 5 clarinets, 3 saxes, 3 drummers, 2 bell player, 1 extra in the pit, 1 tuba(and she's so small!), 2 horns, 2 trumpets, and about 11 guard members. Last year, we had 3 guard members.

Ugh... Last year one of the Jazz members was caught, doing it with this girl so thanks to this the jazz band was unable to participate in and competition, I so wanted to kill him, I mean the whole jazz band had the music down so well that really you could tell that they where disappointed.
Other than that my BD lets us date within the band as long as we don't do anything extreme(I think this year things might change) :3

The year before I joined MB they caught two kids having sex in the back room of this tiny hallway. The don't seperate the boys and girls on our buses, and a few small things happen but nothing serious as far as I know.
