The name is the game! Well not game, but you know what I mean.

-Don't say anything too bad (sexual, offensive), cursing is fine just don't let it be excessive.
-Oh, and try to be legitimate too, try not to have too much text chat or shorten things horribly.
-Don't do 1337 either, it's cool but it's not for here ^_^
-If there's a debate, please move it to the correct place(or ask us to move it to Intellectual Pondering and Debate) Healthy debates are good for the soul, but not for widescale general conversation.
-Rants are fine here, like "My friend just called me when I was sleeping and I was in the middle of a dream!" since it strikes up interesting conversation. But if you have a big rant (example: Twilight) then put it in Rantation Ventlation.

Yes there has to be simple rules since I know (sadly) that some will break them. Probably unintentionally (debates are normal) but I don't want any claims that you can't follow the rules if you don't know them.

And yes my friend did call me right in the middle of a dream! I tried to sound awake but I guess sleep was heavy in my voice.

*flails* Anyone else disliking the new bar? It takes even more steps to get to places...
PostPosted: Fri Jul 24, 2009 4:26 am

I dislike it, a lot. So far, there is nothing I like about it. Except for the color. And even that is not very good. Which is surprising, seeing as blue is my favorite color. O:

I think they were aiming a bit too much to the newbie side where us experienced Gaians have to take it a step farther to reach everything.

Oh the blue is more... periwinkle I guess.

It's a nice idea and I like the color....but I thought it was supposed to simplify. It does feel like it takes an extra step now to get places. sweatdrop

It was a nice idea, I do admit that I truly believe that they had the best wishes for Gaians but it just didn't work... not for the experienced users.

Oh well, how is everyone today?

Pretty good! Just tired. I was in that wedding. I still sang for her, but we ended up having to pick a different a song for me to sing for her since she forgot the cd. blaugh It went great though.

I'm doing pretty good as well. I'm just a bit tired as well. I went to bed at like.. 4:30 AM yesterday this morning and woke up at 11:30 AM, then fell back asleep until 1:30 PM, and got up then. I got back from being with my grandma a bit ago. I had fun. She didn't annoy me nearly as much as she usually does, with her perfectionism and such. o:

I'm trying to figure out how to get the internet to work on my PSP without having my brother get involved. sweatdrop

Oh so much practice into it and you had to switch xD Ah the way of life~

Uhm, were you playing games too long per chance Pistl? And I think I know where your perfectionism comes when you're playing games now. *coughs* (the cough was too emphasize my point and because I've really had a coughing problem lately)
Err uh, I'd love to help but I've never even played with a PSP...

Umbra knows how! (aka hubby/ray)

He said to

Make sure you are in an area with wireless internet available.
Also, make sure your wireless lan setting on the psp is set to "ON"
*do this by switching the switch on the lower left-hand corner of your psp up*

-Go to the network icon on your main screen
-Select internet browser
-Be sure and know the password of the network you are accessing
-Hit the Triangle Button to open up the address bar

I hope this helps you out a bit. mrgreen

Actually, I knew all that. I figured it out the first day I had my PSP. Without even looking at a manual. Thing is.. I can't figure out how to get my PSP to connect to the wireless here at the house, it has a password, so it's secure and all, but I think I need to input the address and all that manually, which I know the IP.. but I don't know how to get the "Default Router" thing. Or the DNS stuff, if that is even needed. sweatdrop

Sorry I was no help, but you weren't clear on what exactly it was you needed help with as far as accessing the net via psp. *shrugs*

Really? Hmm...alright

*asks Umbra*

He says: When you go to connect, try to put in a web address up top to try to go to any site.
-It will give you some sort of "error" message
-Push "Circle"
-It will then say "select connection"
-Select "New Selection"
-Then select "Connect"
-At the top of the list you will see "Scan" select that option
-It will bring up a list of the area's wireless networks
-Select your network
-Input WEP Key then select "enter"
-Press right on directional pad until you get to "Address Settings"
-That menu will give you the option to enter the IP address
-Save and continue scrolling right through the menus till you reach the save setting screen
-Press "X" to save settings
-It will take a few moments to save and then you can select the connection point you just created

I hope this time I actually helped you a bit more.

I hate to say it, but that wasn't really helpful either. sweatdrop

The bolded text is the closest thing that has to do with my problem. sweatdrop

It gives two options. Auto and Manual. Auto doesn't work, so I am trying to figure out how to do it manual. (When it gets to the Address thing) I have the IP address (as I've said), I need what would be the 'Default Router' number (Also, as I've said).
I can't take a screencap for you, because my PSP doesn't have custom firmware and I don't have a program to let me take screencaps. sweatdrop
