Leonard McCoy was sick of this. When he signed up for this Starfleet thing it was to be a doctor, not to get his molecules all scattered around time after time. But for now, they were coming back from the surface of a Planet which only needed a routine check-up by a Starfleet crew. The doctor, the Engineer, the Science officer, the communications expert and of course the Captain. Since they were all back now, McCoy could go back to Sick Bay where he could get back to being a doctor for thne patients he bargained for. Of course he wouldn't leave without making sure the captain knew his frustration, "Dammit Jim. We need to have a talk about this transporter thing."
"Ah can see that the doctor had a bonnie time," Montgomery Scott stepped off of his own platform and offered out a hand to the lady of the crew, because he was simply a gentleman, "There's no problem gettin' some fresh air every now an' then, right doctor? That's what you told me!"
"Because if I hadn't, you'd never leave your room, Scotty!" McCoy of course didn't mind making the comparison, "like Jim'd be if he ever got a girlfriend!"
"Keptin! Keptin!" the intercom on the control panel for the transporter turned on, the young Russian ensign called in, "We've got a priority one message on channel two sir! The message is for you, it's from a wessel coming in quickly, we believe it to be wulcan, sir."

((I CALL SAREK!
b***h you didn't tell me you were doing this one! D:<))
Aboard his small craft, large enough for no more than six Vulcans, all of the seats were filled each with a Vulcan of great importance, well, one with a Human woman, his own wife. He had made a call in to the approaching Enterprise and would eventually request to board, when he heard back from the captain, but cuurrently all he heard from was the young Russian one as the Captain was making a routine trip down to one of Earth's colonies with all of his important crewmates. Sarek knew his wife was greatly excited to see her son, Spock, the Enterprise's first officer, but she would also be glad to spend a short time with some humans, after all it is difficult for a human woman to live so long with Vulcans, though Sarek had to admit she had adjusted well. If he wasn't used to spressing all emotion, he may even feel a bit of pride in his choosing of a wife.

Uhura took the offered hand and stepped down off the trasposter. "Thank you Scotty, your such a gentalemen, the otheres could use a lesson from you." She smiled knowing no one really took her seriously. She like the others listened to what the rusian acsented intercom was saying. She couldn't help but look over to see if Spock was showing any intrest.
Like a good Vulcan Spock stood straight as a board with no trace of the inner intrest he was feeling. He grew a little anoyed with himself and smashed the feeling. As he made his was to the elvator he had to wonder if one of the Vulcans on board would be his mother.~ ~ ~ ~
Amanda sat in the chair with the perfect postur she had learned from the Vulcan way. If she was not affraid of bouncing in her seat embarasing her husband she would have done it. She couldn't help but smile as the Enterprise came clearly into view. Nore could she help but admire the ship, it was after all a gorguse one.

"Yessir!" Chekov switched channels around on the communications board, where he was rather uncomfortable sitting as it wasn't his usual seat on the bridge, "Mister ambassador, sir, I'm putting you through to the keptin, now." Chekov switched the channels around to connect the captain to the ambassador this time and allow them to speak. He then stood and returned to his seat, letting another ensign occupy Lietenant Uhura's seat until she returned and took his own seat where he belonged.
---
There was nothing for McCoy to deal with when he returned to sick bay, as the people on the Enterprise were always in great condition, of course this was because they had a great doctor, but, there was always an occasional problem. For now, though, the doctor took a seat at his desk where before him stood the nurse with a troubled look on her face. "Something troubling you, nurse Chapel?"
"Well, yes and no," as a woman, Christine Chapel was required to give an ambiguous answer that would make the male of the species have to inquire more into what in the world she was talking about.
"Yes and no?" McCoy was willing to ask.
"I'm getting trnsferred, Satrfleet just informed me yesterday, they need an experienced nurse on their newest Starship to assist their doctor who's a new recruit."
"So they chose to take my nurse?" McCoy couldn't say he was happy about it, in fact he coudln't say he wasn't angry.
"That's right doctor, I'm being replaced."
"Where's the good news?" McCoy looked up at the woman with a famous eyebrow raise, ready to hear this one.
Nurse Chapel attempted and failed to suppress a smile, "I've seen the doctor."
McCoy made an expression to match his reaction, "Well, if that's how you feel."
The nurse simply laughed, "Oh come now doctor, they'll probably supply you with a hot young rookie! The two of us will make a switch tomorrow at Starbase nine."
"So soon?" McCoy sank back into his chair, defeated, "alright then, you'd best get your goodbyes out now. There's no work to do here, anyhow."
The nurse thanked him and ran out of sick bay to find Uhura.

Once through, Sarek spoke clearly and in his usual strict and firm voice, "Captain, this is ambassador Sarek. I am with a small crew of five others and must request permission to come aboard as we have something of great importance to discuss with you." After speaking, he turned to his wife in the seat beside him, "You're rather calm, wife. I expected a more emotional response to the Enterprise."
[[By the way Wookie, I honestly laughed aloud when I read the ambiguous female answer comment. FUNNY.]]

"Ambassador Sarek! What do we have that is so important to discuss? I will allow you to come aboard so we can talk. Come quickly please! It sounds urgent. " Kirk said to the Ambassador.

Uhura arrived and toke her seat taking over the contorl panel. "thank you Chekov for the cover." she said with a smile.
Spock stood straight next to the captain. His intreset sparked, only slightly but he gave no show of. ~ ~ ~ ~
Amanda smiled at her husband. "Of course I am greatly excited, I can't wit to get on the ship, it seems to have been forever sice I have seen Spock. I wonder if he is dooing well?" She seemed a little more fizzled today then normal, she had worked at acting like a proper Vulcan, she knew she could never have the emotional control that real one would have, but she still tryed. She feared that one day she would do some thing so human that it would embarse Sarek and his people. She knew they would never addmit they were embaresed.

Once the small craft was on the Enterprise's loading dock, the shuttle was parked and the passengers came out one by one, lastly the Ambassador and his wife. There was a party to greet them there but Sarek knew Amanda wouldn't care to see anyone but her son, and perhaps captain Kirk who had been so kind last time. Maybe even the doctor, although Sarek would never understand that attatchment as everyone in the situation was simply doing what was logical. "Amanda, you may request to see Spock, as my business is only with the ship's captain."

McCoy had come out of Sick Bay just in time to hear about the passengers boarding, "Yay more Vulcans." he muttered beneath his breath as he made his way to the loading dock, Jim would be there and he had to see him about this replacement nurse charade. There was no way he didn't know about it, and if that was the case, why hadn't he been told immediately?
---
Moments later, Nurse Chapel showed up on the bridge to see her old friend Lieutenant Uhura. She placed a hand gently on the woman's back, "Nyota, do you have a moment? I'd like to talk."
---
Scotty, since he was already with the captain, decided to join the welcoming commitee and was pleased to find that one of the Vulcan drew was actually an engineer. Allowing Jim and the ambassador to their business, he took the Vulcan engineer into the engineering room to show off the Enterprise.

Kirk walked over to the loading dock just as the Ambassador and his wife stepped out. A smile lit up his face. "Amanda! How good to see you! As well as you Ambassador Sarek. If you will follow me we can start our important talk on the way to the conference room." Kirk said holding out his hand to shake.
( do they have conference rooms on the enterprise?)

[[sure do.]]
"Captain." Sarek would have offered up the Vulcan salute as a way of cleverly reminding the captain that shaking hands was a little too human, however, after being ambassador to Earth for so long, Sarek was used to it's customs, "If it is alright with you I would like to request permission for my wife to do as she wishes, as it would please her to see Spock, and neither of them are vital to this information session so it is simply logical to allow them to sit it out."

McCoy followed along, waiting to get a word in with the captain, he'd follow the two of them around if he had to. Nothing could be this important. Well, it could be, in fact, it often was, but there would be a moment for the captain to spare eventually, "Jim, when you get a minute, you and I gotta have a little talk."

"Oh sure! all of your people can do as they please." Kirk said then he turned to Spock "You may go with her if you would like." He turned back to Sarek and said "Shall we go now?" He turned to walk then heard McCoy. "Yes what is it?"
