Rio was out wondering once again. Out in the open. He had come along way from the weak little fragile foal which had struggled his way out of his basket and into the wide world. Too young and naive to see how big and dangerous that actually was. To this day. He had never seen real danger. More so he had never seen any need to grow up in this world. He was still young at heart. Very young indeed. Maybe too young, he was almost a young adult now after all and he needed to do a lot of growing up before he could head out in the big wide world of his own. Rio never thought much into what he was going to do when he was older. He had no idea in which direction his life was taking.
He found himself wondering down to some kind of lake. It was nice and seemed a very good place for the young foal to rest for a while. He laid down near the edge in the long grass his front two hooves were just hanging in the water. Making it ripple. What a pretty pattern. He thought as he admired it for a moment. He had such a small attention span. He could lay here in the warm Spring sunshine. It was the middle of the day and many hours before he was going to set off home. It was not too far away lets face the facts he had travelled a lot further.
A dragonfly came into view in the middle of the lake. It made him smile. He had never seen one before. It made him think... how much he actually did not know about this world.

She had been out in the woods finding sweet berries to eat, her stomach now full, Sengdroma decided to head back her lake. It was a quiet day, save the birds that were singing there songs in the tree tops. Her footsteps fell silently on the ground, she was much more quiet since her departure from Sofiel, her mentor.
As her lake came into view, she took note of a small out of place figure next to the water. It was a young colorful foal, she was yet unsure of the gender, but by scent, she would say male. She looked around for the parents, but there were none to be seen.
Quietly she watched the colt for a few moments, wondering if he was injured or just resting. She couldn't smell blood, a relief.

Rio kept on looking at the water. Then after a few moments he sensed someone there with him. Or he heard the movement in the grass, if nothing else he had a good sense on when other where near him. It must be all those days he went out in aim of meeting new people. He wanted to talk to everyone and get to know them and their stories. It was one of his favourite hobbies.
He noticed it was a mare who had come near him. He smiled and got up walking over to her with a wide smile on his face.
"You startled me. You could have told me you were there you know. I don't bite." He smiled and tilted his head. She sure was a pretty one. He was a lucky boy he had grown up are pretty adult mares.
"Hello?"

She smiled in a friendly manner as the colt noticed her, she tilted her head then lowered it slightly in greeting to the young male.
"Hello there, little one." She smiled, her voice soft and welcoming. "You'll have to forgive me, I don't have visitors often here." She lifted her head looking around the lake for a moment. "Are you alone?" She again, surveyed the area for the colts mother.

"Unfortunately. Its been a boring day. I can not find any of my friends you see. So I am just watching time tick by, until I find something interesting. Wow. If you do not have many visitors I guess I am in the wrong place for looking for someone to hang around with... Unless you are offering Miss."
He smiled and nodded his head more of a joke than anything, he was always very playful with his choices of words. He tilted his head back up at her she seemed to be looking out for something. Figures. He was a little young to be out on his own after all.
"I am Rio De Genero. Rio for short."
He added with a small smile.

She laughed and shrugged a bit, "I'm always up for company, I just never get any you see," She giggled slightly, "No, no. I meant your parents. Are you alone?"
She didnt' want to sound pushy, but traveling in the forest alone wasnt safe, especially for a young colt. She'd be sure he was safe, at least while he was at her lake.
"Rio, eh?" she touched her nose to his very gently before replying. "I'm Sengdroma, most call me Seng. It's easier to pronounce."

"Hehe. I am one of three very over-active and hyperactive foals. They are taking care of them two. Me I like to take care of myself. Do not get me wrong I love them to pieces my parents. I just like to explore... and you know what parents are like they wrap you in bubble wrap so you do not get hurt. I am more of a free spirit."
He stated with his head held high, he was trying to sound cool but realised he was failing badly. Even though his words were true. He just did not want them to seem so... cliché lone wolf?
"Seng? Thats a pretty name it suits you a lot. I am sorry to tell you Seng you have been near this lake too long. look you have even gained lily pads."
He stated with a smile pointing towards her patterns.

She smiled and again lowered her head to be on his level, he was definately well spoken to be so young. "Well, Spirit it is then." she smiled and gifted him with a nickname. "Have I now?" she turned in a circle to be silly, as if she were trying to see her patterns.
"How do you think I blend so well?" she quirked an eyebrow. "Watch!" she walked towards the waters edge where the real lillypads graced the water.
"Now you see me..." she laid down in the water, lowering her head to where her nostrils and top portion showed. Her body blending in to the scenery.

"Wow that is so cool!" He smiled seeing her get into the water. It figures. The only way he would be able to do that if he one went flying into a rainbow or if he flew so high into the clouds you could no longer see him at all.
He laughed at her actions the mare seemed very friendly. It might just be because he was a foal. All mares seemed to have some kind of mother complex especially the ones who already had foals. It was a natural trigger as he called it. One that everyone had just some did not seem to obey it very well.
"So Seng. Do you have any children?" He asked quite a blunt question but it made sense with his thoughts, he just sometimes did not explain them very well.

(Remember, we're placing this in the future, so for rp purposes she does have kids. Just don't ask how many or their names. O.o )
She lifted her head up out of the water to answer his question, water dripping from her chin and hair. "I do, indeed." she continued to lounge in the water, the cool liquid feeling good against her coat. "They've all grown now, but they still live in the lands. Perhaps you'll meet them one day." she smiled and moved out into the lake further so that she could 'float'.
"You say you're one of three, Spirit? Do you get along with your siblings well?" she questioned him in return. She was a firm believer in strong family ties.

"NO! my brother is arrogant and is always looking for attention and to challenge me, my sister thinks she is a rock star and that everyone is under her she is a real diva. Although I love them both dearly there is ALOT of rivalry between us all."
He stated with a small laugh he guessed they were just like any other siblings in the world to say the least. They would sure get along much better
when they were older and calmed down from there hyper selves.
"I gathered. You seem like you would be a good mother."
He smiled in a complement before he flicked his mane and then went into the water after her. Floating on top of it. It was a lot deeper for him than it was for her after all.

She gave a hearty laugh, he definately didn't believe in holding back his thoughts. "Well, I'm sure others have told you, but I will too. It will get better." She couldn't help but continue to giggle at him, her ribcage making ripples in the water.
"Why thank you," she replied as she watched him enter the water. "Have you been in water before? It will make your wings much heavier than normal if you haven't." she thought she'd better warn him, though she was sure his own family had told him such things.
"And, I try." she paddled over close to him. "I hope my children think the same." She was thinking of her own children and her herd, she looked at all of her herd members as her own children, even if they weren't blood they were all close enough.

"Aww. Why could you not have told me that before I jumped in?" he asked with a big of a god smacked expression on his face. "Okay then I will just stay in as long as I can so I can prevent finding out how heavy they are." He stated thinking that was a smart idea. Or it sounded so in his head anyway.
"I am sure they do think the same thing. Take it from a kid, we do not tell you guys how great you are enough. So I try and make my mother feel as appreciated as possible. I hope it works." He chuckled he was such a parent pleaser he would even admit to it. Just the way he was.
"Whats your mate like?" He asked wondering what kind of guy would be with her. To be honest he was just nosy.

She laughed again, "I'm sorry, Spirit. I thought someone would have told you before." She and her mate have a love for water, they were either near or in it all the time, she forgot that others didn't like it so much. "We will sun you out before dusk." She nodded to him.
"You're very well versed," she remarked, she just had to tell him. "Very bright as well, it seems."
Her eyes glistened a moment when he asked about her mate, she loved him so. "His name is Maion, he sparkles like the stars on the darkest night. Do you know what an angeni is?" Unsure of what all he had been taught thus far in his short life, she would explain if needed.

"Well I know what one is meant to be. A pure spirit with many wings who protects the lands. Although I do not believe in what people are meant to be. I see people as they are. I mean one of my friends is a Kalona. He is kind. I am sure your mate is wonderful however. Or I do not see you liking him. You see smart too."
He stated with a small smile. He did not look into all the fairy tale legends on this land. He believed in life to see to touch to live. It was true in some ways he was grown up in others he was just an infant those are parts of his life he needed help with. Maybe if he did listen to more stories he would have a better view of good and evil. For now it was clouded...
"I could get used to this water it cools you down a lot."
He smiled trying to lighten the topic looking into the sky.
