So big! Only this for you Feuer O<
California >> At Least It's Sunny The site of such get-poor-quick schemes as the Gold Rush, the Dot-Com Boom, and Hollywood, California has been visited for centuries by Americans hoping to fulfill their pipe dreams. In 1849, thousands arrived in California to pan for gold, and once that didn't work out, to panhandle for gold. Nearly 150 years later, the state was again the site of disillusionment. The dot-com crash cost Californians millions of dollars, and financially ruined employees were soon forced to move out of their parents' basements and into their attics.
Today, people flock to Los Angeles to break into the entertainment industry, where many face the biggest acting role of their lives -- pretending like nothing is wrong in while everything around them turns to sh!7.
Due to its large size, California has a diverse cultural landscape. San Francisco is the alternative-lifestyle capital of the country, with thousands of young men living openly off trust-fun money wherever you look. Meanwhile, L.A. is home to some of the kindest and most outgoing people in the world until they realize you're not an agent.
And the state's central region is known for its vineyards, where immigrant workers spend years cultivating the finest wine in the country so people can spit it out into a bucket.
